Okay, I'll stop rambling on and here's the chapter.

Jacky walks towards the building to the right as he steps out of Gallen’s car. He’s late and he knows that his girl will be upset. This is his last straw. Somehow, he doesn’t seem to have an anxious expression on his face. He’s always calm and collected. The calm exterior disappears as he finds the door to the Apartment E wide open. Lights are off. He rushes in with speed, searching for clues as to what has happened. He runs from one end of the hallway to the other, calling her name. His voice turning anxious the more he calls her name.
“Jan! Where are you? Jan! This isn’t funny! Jan! Come on!”
Sweats form on his face as he comes to realize that it isn’t a joke like he hoped it would be. He stops in his tracks and tries to calm himself down again. He can’t be falling apart like this. He needs to look for clues. He takes in a deep breath and wipes the sweats from his forehead. He then approaches the front door again, flicking on the light switch. It’s been cut, like he suspected earlier. He fishes out the penlight from his pants pocket and points it around the apartment slowly. When the light ray goes past the kitchen, there’s a sparkling light responding back that he has to slowly move it back towards that area to see what it is. He approaches the kitchen slowly and finds a necklace on the floor. He shines the light on the necklace and recognizes the necklace immediately. It was the one that he gave Jan last year for her birthday. It’s a simple crystallized-circular pendant with a picture of the two of them inside with a simple black string attached to it. He has one also. It was a pair. Jan had loved it since she was so surprised. Of course she was since he had one of his friends took the picture of them when she had fallen asleep in his arms one time. He thought it was a great idea for a gift and it was. Jan never took it off no matter what. This is serious.
Jacky circles around the whole apartment again, looking for other clues. His phone rings suddenly, making him nervous.
“Hello,” Jacky answered, trying to sound normal.
“I got your girlfriend so don’t you make any sudden moves, Mr. Chu,” The voice said.
“What do you want?”
“Impatience, aren’t we?”
“Get to the point or I’ll hang up.”
“And risk the life of your girlfriend?”
“If you got her, prove it.”
Jacky hears some rustling sounds following some woods being knock over and then the man speaks up again.
“Talk to your boyfriend,” The man instructed from the other side.
Jacky knows how stubborn Jan could be at times. He knows that she’s fighting a battle right now and isn’t easily pushed around by others. He also knows that the man had put the phone on speaker so he has one shot to get a message to Jan.
“Do whatever you want with her,” Jacky said calmly and coolly. “I don’t care. You’ve got the wrong person. Have a nice day.”
“He must love you a lot, huh?” The man mocked. “Wanting to risk your life like that.” Then he pauses since the last two lines were meant for Jan. “Meet me at The Bay tomorrow at noon. Don’t be late. Last chance.”
Jacky hangs up before the man could go on further. He hurries out of the apartment and locks up before he goes.
