“Tough day?” Wallace asked, looking at Wilson.
“Yea,” Wilson said. “Mr. Huo, you’re talking today. So, found new leads?”
“Not sure yet, but it’s getting to me that I need to talk to someone before I go crazy.” Before Wallace could stop himself, he had told the truth to this guy, which is weird since he usually doesn’t trust anyone at first meet. No one does to say such personal things.
“I’ll bet.” Wilson continues to walk towards the elevators.
Wallace walks side-by-side with him. At that time, Tim is now close enough to talk to.
“You’re talking to people again, Mr. Huo?” Tim asked, noticing Wallace engaging in a conversation with Wilson all of a sudden.
Yes, is it a crime? He asked inside. But he refrains himself in time to not blurt it out loud. “Yes. Things are starting to come together now so I could relax for a bit.”
Tim nods. “That’s good.”
Then the next part Wallace had to blink once to make sure he sees correct since Tim gives Wilson a look. Before he could say anything, the elevator on the right opens. Wallace and Wilson get in while Tim looks at them. He looks like he’s fighting with himself over something then he steps forward, puts one hand in the doorway to make it open again, and gets in with them.
Wallace senses intensity as the door closes.
Wilson looks at Tim. “I have got no time for this now, Tim.”
Wallace takes a step back to stand against the wall while he watches the two guys.
“I…” Tim began.
Wilson cuts Tim off. “Meet me tomorrow at The Bay around 11. I’ll tell you the rest.”
“Why should I trust you?”
“Because, Tim, it’s your only chance to actually find out everything. I’m willing to offer it, so why don’t you accept it?”
Wallace’s brain spins even more. Of course he already knows there’s something going on between the guys. But what? And why is Wilson putting such a strong emphasis on Tim’s name? The next thing he knows, Wilson gets out of the elevator at Level 5 before Tim could respond or react.
“Unfinished business?” Wallace blurted out before he could stop himself.
Tim seems to have forgotten Wallace’s even there. “Uh….”
“Doing an article on him or something?” Wallace knows that Tim’s a reporter so he takes that for a stab at the moment.
“Uh…yes.”
Wallace knows that he’s lying. It must be something else. Maybe what’s going on around here, he can tell Kenneth later in case there are some clues that are floating around and he’s just letting it pass by. Better be careful than regret later, he thought. “Okay then. Good luck.”
Tim seems to regain his composure. “How’s the case going? I meant did you find your friends yet?”
“We’re close.”
“That’s good.”
Wallace couldn’t maintain this dry conversation anymore so he decides to cut to the chase. What could happen? After all, if this guy is a crook, he’ll have to take his chances.
“I saw you earlier today.” Wallace didn’t expect it to come out that lame but still, it’s a start.
“Yea,” Tim said. “I know. We waved.”
Wallace chuckles. “Of course. Are you following some crime related case for your next article or something?”
“Why you say that?”
“The neighborhood that you’re in tells it all.”
“I’m not familiar with places around here. I must have gotten lost.”
“So, the guy in your car gave you the right directions to turn back?”
Tim looks puzzled. “Yea. Sort of.”
“Must be because he left right after that.”
Tim looks shocked at that point. “You know where he went?”
“Into the building where you parked in front of.”
“That makes sense now. How could I be so dumb?”
Wallace finally hits jackpot. Of course he knows that the other mysterious person couldn’t be just giving him directions. That guy would have to be standing outside and pointing to give it. It was a secret meeting of some sort.
The elevator opens at that time. Wallace walks out first, mumbling something about having to catch some sleep before he falls over.

Gallen finally gets a lead. He can’t believe he’s so careless this morning. Of course Jacky couldn’t be that fast to disappear just like that. He should have gone into the closest building to look for him. Or was it because he knows of that neighborhood and doesn’t want to take the risk unprepared? Whatever it is, he knows that tomorrow he will return and find some clues so he can be prepared for the meeting with Jacky at 11 tomorrow.
