"Ah, my Capriana, I've returned." Courtney closed her eyes to feel the artifical breeze blowing against her hair.
"Remember, this is your last free day here, make the most of it." Wayne replied, putting his hands into his pockets, sighing heavily.

There was no celebration for Courtney's birthday that year, she was turning fourteen, normally older than the others. Once the new year starts, it's her birthday. Her mother bought her a simple new CD set for her favorite show.
Jessica got her a Mini Jelly Handbag and a pink Solid Satin Scarve, Lauren made Courtney a huge poster-sized birthday card and a photo frame, with a picture of the two of them inside. Bettina bought her a Pacific Sunset Top and a Pleated Pinestripe Skirt from her aunt Judy's famous fashion boutique.
Wayne got her a picture he painted of Capriana in a huge poster-sized board he was working on for weeks as a hobby. The painting was hung on the wall and Courtney gazed at it for long hours. Her other gifts were carefully placed in her cupboard and Lauren's gift was placed on her desk.
She thanked everyone a lot for the gifts and personally enjoyed Lauren and Wayne's gifts. Why? Coz' she loved personal gifts, but of course she did not tell them that.
"Courtney honey, are you still awake?" Her mother asked.
"Yeah. Looking at the painting."
"Is it really that beautiful?" Mrs. Beam wondered.
"Yes it is mom. It's perfect, peaceful and beautiful, what would I do to live in it."
"Nothing is perfect."
"I know, mom." Courtney replied as her mother left the door, "but Capriana is."

The first day of school arrived without much worry, Courtney and her friends were racing the other anticipated students to sign up for their co-cirricula activities. "What should we pick?" Jessica asked.
"I dunno, maybe we should pick similar activities?" Lauren asked hopefully, "how about art?"
"Nah, art's a little bummer, takes up a lot of time." Bettina replied quickly, thinking, "how about Drama? I like to act..."
"No way, I hate the way thousands of people look at me or something, I much prefer sporty ones, like..um...Water Polo or something." Courtney suggested quickly, "I used to be the best Water Polo player in grade school."
"I want Rock Climbing!" Lauren called out.
"Okay, Tai Kwon Do, that's what I want," Jessica finally decided, she walked over to queue up in order to sign up for it. There were three choices, so she made up her mind.
She returned, "my first choice is Tai Kwon Do, second, Yoga and then roller skating.
Lauren finally went over to the board and wrote her name on three boards, and then returned, like Jessica, "my first choice is Rock Climbing, Water Polo and then Horse Riding. It sounds kinda fun."
"My first choice is Water Polo, Rock Climbing then Yoga." Courtney smiled.
Bettina picked Drama first, Dance second and Roller Skating third.
As a result of everything, Courtney did not get into water polo, but got into rock climbing instead. Jessica got into Tai Kwon Do, Lauren got into rock climbing and Bettina got into Dance. So Lauren and Courtney were in the same activity, they were really excited.
There were many different classes. Lauren and Courtney were in the same classes till PE and Science. Jessica was in their math and art classes. Bettina was only in their dance class, and was in Courtney's PE class. Lauren was in Bettina's science class, at least they each managed to see each other.
After the first day of school, she rushed over to see Wayne as planned, she could see Capriana for only two hours everyday before going home to do her homework.
"Hey thanks for being here."
"Nah. It's no big deal, I've already finished my homework, I suggest you do too."
"I will get used to this." She closed her eyes and appeared in Capriana again, beautiful now and forever.
