The minute after school she rushed to the place where Capriana could be seen. Courtney carefully turned on the controls and closed the roof, just like what Wayne taught her.
"Okay, after this , I should press this, and ...this!" She pressed the two buttons and Capriana appeared.
She placed the mini remote control on the grassy ground and lay beside it, closing her eyes to feel the serenity. She waved to the merry robins hopping on a nearby tree and they flew down to her hands.
Squirrels climbed down and gathered on her hair, she giggled at the sight, if only she had a camera. She smiled happily as she sat up and felt the wind carassing her face. She held up her finger to notice a blue robin already there.
"This place is great," she lay on her chest and looked at the view from the cliff, blowing the 'cotton' off the dandilions and watching them float away in the air. "There's no worry here in the world."
She lay in the embrace of the wind, the animals and the most important thing in the world. Slowly, she wondered if a chance like that could ever happen in real life, no worries, just peace.
Yeah, right.
"I might never get another chance to see this, well, time to go..." She reached for the mini remote control.
It was not there.
She was frantic, she searched all over the place for it, but it was still not there. It was lost in the virtual world, now she can't get rid of it.
"Oh no, where's the control?"
~Flashback
"Hey, what's that remote control in your hands?"
"It's the control for the virtual reality portal to operate, made it myself." he replied, putting it back in his pocket.
"What happens if you don't have it?" She wondered, as she sat up.
"It'll never turn off."
~
Oh no. She was lost in the virtual reality world! "COOL!"
She really was stuck there. She had to return home! She searched around, trying to locate the controls, but she bumped into a rock instead. But wait, it was like what Wayne had said, it was all fake. She managed to grab the handle in the form of a branch.
She took out HER mini remote control and tried to turn it off.. Oh yeah, she forgot. He took out the chip. "I have to find my way out of Capriana!" She suddenly stopped, "I can't believe I said that. It sounds so...not...me."
~Quick Flashback
"What if I fall down this cliff?"
"Don't. It's the stairs. But below is a forest, so it's like this room is our cliff. Understand? Nothing here is real, you know."
~
"Okay, so I have to fall off the cliff?" She thought carefully, Capriana looked so real, falling off the cliff would have been the weirdest thing anyone would have ever done to get out of a virtual portal.
Taking a deep clensing breath, she closed her eyes and stepped off the cliff.
Courtney was no longer standing, she was falling! She bumped on the spiral stairs and arrived at the ground floor. Immediately she fainted, for she had hit her head hard on the railings and it was bleeding.
