Chapter 4

The Bonding Thing

The days passed quickly, the so-called Unique Clique girl group shared everything together, to Courtney, her friends back home were nothing like them. Smart and similar. But life could be boring if everyone likes the same things, nothing is shared, no new stuff to hear about. They went through all the activites going on at Marine Camp.

They all did amazing stuff, like scuba diving, swimming with dolphins, exploring the ocean floor for amazing creatures and touching star-fish, plus many other cute sea creatures in the glass tanks which the scuba diving experts caught for the time being.

"That was so much fun, surfing with the dolphins? Get outta town!" Jenny called as she dried her hair with a towel.

"Haha, yea. And those experts wanted us to dive so low to collect some sorta treasure in the Under-Sea-Search activity, I'll get outta the country for that!" Courtney added.

"That's nothing. What about letting the dolphins carry you out to sea and hopping from water to water? That was cooler." Natasha laughed as she recalled what she did with dolphin Franchester.

Brigit was drying her hair like Jenny as she just came out hearing what Natasha had said, "please, all those things are a magnet for dirt, I prefered looking at the sea creatures. I saw a butterfly fish in one of 'em, that was cool."

"Yeah, I agree, studying the fishes were better than doing those activities,"Penny whispered.

"See? Penny agrees with me!"

"But that's no fun! I can study fish in the Aquarium Center, coming to the Marine Camp is about the activities!" Kylie shouted when she entered the dorm.

"I agree." Natasha looked over.

"Me too!" Jenny added.

"Maybe you guys can try doing those activities for a while? Playing with dolphins is much more fun than studying them..." Courtney eased up a bit.

"We'll try it your way.." Brigit and Penny said at the same time, only Penny said it softer. (Like...duh!)

The bell rang for dinner, and it was fifth day of camp, nine more days before the adventure ends. They all hoped that the cafeteria ladies made something good for them that day.

The next day, before they went for the swimming activity at Moonshone Island, Ms. San wanted to do a head check first. "Buddies together in a line please, I have to do a head check before we leave for Moonshone Island..."

Courtney found Wayne in a few seconds, noticing him by his usual hair cut, and height. He was taller than her by two inches, but she seemed to look at him the usual way she looked at everyone. "Hiya, Courtney, how's the camp to you so far?"

"Fine, I guess. Just some stuff to do, and some to eliminate, plus the food tasted weird. Other than that, it's okay..."

"Good. Coz' my day's been okay too, but I thought that swimming to the seabed was kinda interesting, I mean, the swimming, the sea creatures, I've never done that before,
never." He replied.

Her purple colored eyes shone when the sun rose to the sky. Ms. San began to count the people and ask one pair by one pair aboard the ship. The ship was the only way they could reach Moonshone island, they were sheduled to return at night, so they were going to spend the whole day there.

Wayne noticed the way she looked at the ocean and wondered if Marine Camp was really what she hoped for. He had only a pal named Kyle Edward but he totally hated marine life, so he didn't come along.

"Well, nice to know that you've enjoyed your five days..." He replied after five minutes, on the ship. Ms. San thought it was easier to count the campers if they sat in buddie-pairs.

"Well...I have enjoyed myself."

"Good to know."

"Yeah. I guess."
