I lied on my bed, waiting for 5pm to come. At 4.30pm, I received a text message from Aaron. 'I will be reaching your house in 30 minutes. Please put make up to cover your ugly face and wear a proper dress, maybe the one you wear when I came your house the first time. :)' What? He's saying I'm ugly?! I'm going to make myself as beautiful as possible, let's see who is going to be ugly later. I thought with a smile plastered on my face. I changed into my beautiful yellow dress. Just then, the door bell rang. "He couldn't be that early right? It's only 4.38pm." "Surprise!" Ella and Selina jumped out from the side of the door as I opened. "What are you doing here?" "OMG You look very pretty today!" "I agree with Selina. And we are here to give you a makeover!" "Oh no, not you Ella. You made me look like a clown the previous slumber party and as we walked down the streets, people were pointing and laughing at me." We laughed at the thought of it. "Come on, you left with about 15 minutes only. We don't have much time left." They ushered me up to my room. Within 15 minutes, I was all ready. I looked into the mirror and got a shock. "Is that me? I look..." "So different?" Selina continued. "And beautiful!" Ella added. "Thank you girls! You are the best!" I gave them a hug. "What are sisters for?"
As I sent Selina and Ella off, a few minutes later Aaron arrived. He stood in front of me, with his mouth wide open. "Stop drooling you pervert." I exclaimed. "You... look extremely gorgeous today." My cheeks turned cherry red. "Thanks, you are quite handsome too." He wore a formal white shirt that shows off his wonderful, hot body and a jean that looks very cool on him. "This is for you, Hebe." Aaron gave me a bouquet of veronicas. "How do you know I like veronicas?" He pointed around the house. It was filled with vases of veronicas. "Opps." I laughed. "So are you ready?" He asked. I gave him my hand and went onto his car. "Where are we going?" "To East side for dinner. Have you been there before?" "Yes, but that was last year."
*Flashback.*
By the time the movie ended, our stomachs were growling. Mike drove us to the East side for our dinner. He had booked the lakeside view of the restaurant, with candles on the round tables for two.
*End flashback.*
"We have reached Hebe." I was daydreaming of the times I'd spent with Mike. I did forget about him, but it's just that those happy memories are still there. I cling onto Aaron's arm and we walked into the restaurant. "I'd booked the table by the lakeside, so that we can view the scenery." It was the same place, the place Mike and I sat for the last time. Why is it so coincidence? "What would you like to eat Hebe?" "You decide." I let out a smile. "Then we'll have the Happy Couple set meal please." "Hebe are you alright?" Aaron stared at me. "Yes, just thinking about the past." "Forget about the past. Start to think about the present and the future." "I will try."
After the dinner, it was almost 7.15pm. As the concert hall is near the restaurant, we walked there. "Hey! Let's go buy Frh merchandise!" I pulled Aaron by his hand. "I want this, this, this and this. This one also. How about I get all of those?" I took out my wallet, searching for money. But it seemed that I didn't bring enough money. As soon as I lifted up my head, Aaron was carrying a few plastic bags. "These are for you, Hebe. I bought everything they sell. Hope you will like it." "Thank you Aaron!" I gave him a peck of his cheeks, which caused an electric shock among us. Then, he held my hand and we walked into the hall. The place was dark and I had night blindness. With a hand grabbing onto Aaron's arm, I somehow felt a little safe and secure. I tightened my grip as we walked, afraid I would fall.
Soon, the concert started and I went way crazy over them. Often, I would pull Aaron out of his seats and jumped up and down with me. His smile was there all the time. He definitely looks better when he smiles. "I can't believe Mr Fang actually bought their tickets and let us watch!" I exclaimed. I always wanted to attend Frh's concert, but I couldn't buy it. It was so rare that I could actually see them for real. "Come on Aaron, just throw your face away for one time and enjoy the concert!" And he listened. He started being wild, singing their songs like nobody's business. He would went off pitch a couple of times, making me laugh. But he doesn't care. He continued to sing. It was really a wonderful time with him. I really do enjoy his company.
He stopped his car outside my house. When I was about to open the car door, Aaron embraced me and gave me a kiss. Yes, my heart melted at that moment. But I pushed him away and told him to give me some time. Watching him driving away, with that sad face on him, it really hurts me. Do I love him? Should I give him a chance? Dad opened the door and looked at me. "Having troubles Hebe? Spill it out to Dad." We sat in the living room and I started to ask Dad questions. "What is love? How is the feeling like of loving someone?" Dad chuckled while he replied. "Love is an extraordinary feeling. You can't describe love. However, you know you are in love when you feel unnatural with that someone. You will always think of him every single second. He is someone who you reckon would spend the rest of your life with. Your emotions will be influenced by him. When he touch you, just any kind of touch, you will feel that your heart is beating faster than usual, when you started to blush, when you felt an electric shock. Love is really unpredictable my love. It will come whenever it likes, but it will go as soon as it's bored. However, believe your heart and not your mind. Your mind only knows how to calculate and think, but your heart is the one that knows everything you feel." After hearing Dad, I came to a decision. I'm going to... "Thanks Dad, I love you. And it's through my heart."
