I looked at Hana. She looked like an angel when she slept. Poor she had to face the reality that her mother and father had been separated. Poor she had to face the hard reality of life but perhaps she still so lucky because she still able to meet her father since her mother and father worked at the same place. At the same world.
It was lucky for my little girl but it was not lucky for the mother. That’s what made divorce so difficult because it almost impossible to still maintain a good relationship with your ex husband or wife. Moreover if you separated not in a good way. I could sense that something terrible happened between them if I saw how cold they were towards each other.
Baron, I respected him as a driver, but I couldn’t respect him as a man. Men will never doing a physical punishment to a woman for example like hit or slap a woman. He did that in front of his child. What if Hana woke up and saw all of that.
I rubbed Hana’s hair. I attached to this little girl already. Even I just barely know her for 2 days. She was just too lovely to be ignored.
Someone knocked my door. I bet it must be Ella. I opened the door. Í saw her looked very tired and pale. I didn’t dare to ask why even I really wanted to know.
“I’m afraid she will wake up if I laid her in the bed so I decided to hold her.” I said to her while handed Hana to her.
She held Hana and said. “No problem. Thank you.”
Then she just walked to her room. She didn’t say anything. She even didn’t smile. The genuine smile that I just found out became one of her best quality from tonight’s dinner. Ella that I saw stood in front of my door was Ella the race engineer. The race engineer who didn’t give any glimpse of her personal life to her driver.
It bothered me really. Because for a moment I thought I could be friend with my race engineer. I thought I could be relaxed every time I around her in our future. But she turned out to be a usual Ella. Honestly, I really enjoyed my private time with her. In the inside she just a very warm person. When she laughed, perhaps she is the most beautiful woman in the world that I knew. That was not because she is very beautiful like celebrity. It was more she just laughed happily like no body care if she laughed too loud. Like didn’t care about what people will think about this lady. When she laughed, I knew she became the real Ella. Because she looked so live.
Being a boyfriend of a celebrity, I knew exactly what you called as a fake smile and laugh. I adored more people that if they don’t need to smile. They don’t smile. So you knew exactly how they felt.
Suddenly my phone rang. It was Charlene. I was too tired that night until I didn’t want to answer her. Charlene sometimes acts like a child and always bring fight every time we talked about my job. I decided didn’t pick the phone up but she called over and over again. Finally I picked the phone up. “Hi Char….”
“Hi… where were you? I called to your room 2 hours ago and you still weren’t in your room. Perhaps you have fun in the club?”
“No, I didn’t. I just have a dinner with my race engineer after today’s testing.”
“Really?” She seemed didn’t believed what I said.
“If you didn’t believe that’s fine. Just believe what you want to believe Char.”
“Okay-okay, why do we always end fighting to each other huh?”
I didn’t answer her. If she asked the reason, I also didn’t know the answer. Then she started to speak again. “Well when will you go home?”
“To Brunei? Perhaps tomorrow.”
“Please don’t go to Brunei first. I will have my first movie premiere and I would like you to accompany there.”
I knew I couldn’t say no. I knew her habit.
“Fine, I will cancel my flight to Brunei and went to Taiwan tomorrow. Your premiere in Taiwan right? Not in Hongkong.”
“Yup, Hongkong later after that.”
“Char, I really tired. May I go sleep?”
“Fine. I couldn’t wait your arrival here. I miss you so much. My passionate kiss for you. Muacchh.”
“I miss you too. Good night.” Then I turned my cell phone off.
I slept, without took a bath first. I slept without dreaming anything.
In the morning I prepared everything to go home. No, to go to Taiwan. I already called the airport to exchange my ticket. There are still a couple hours until the flight. I decided to do shopping.
I didn’t know why but I really eager to the jewelry shop. I already planned this from beginning that I wanted to have a more serious relationship with Charlene. With my new job as a Formula One driver, I thought it would be better if I hurried to settle down. I will not have any time again to find a perfect woman to me. I knew I’m still young and I didn’t think about wedding or something but I just wanted to be saved. I mean I just want to know that there is a woman that ready to marry with me in the future. So I thought a semiformal engaged ring is not a bad thing. I wanted to know that Charlene also serious with this relationship.
I saw the beautiful ring with a Sakura flower diamond. It was a very good ring and I thought it will be perfect for Charlene. She was so girly and love pink.
“Interested sir?” [A/N: Actually I really want to make the conversation in Melayu Language so the feeling of Malaysia setting will increase but I was afraid it will turn out to be wrong. Ha ha]
“Yeah… I want that ring.”
Then the shop keeper wrapped the ring for me. The more I looked into the ring, the more I felt the ring was so beautiful.
After spent some time for shopping, I went to the airport and little bit in hurry because I forgot about the time when I was doing shopping. Still with the ring box in my hand I ran in the airport. Until I didn’t realize I bumped into a woman.
My ring box fell.
“So sorry.” I said to her. I helped her to took her belongings that also fell in out bump.
“No problem.” Her sound sounded really familiar in my ear.
I looked to the woman and surprisingly she is Ella Chen. How could I always connected to her?
“Ella?”
“Wu Ji Zun? If I knew the man that bumped to me is you I will not said No Problem.”
“If I knew the woman that I bumped was you, I will ran and didn’t stop because I’m afraid she will recognize me and scold me again like in my first day work with her.”
“Cruel. Are you really afraid to me huh?”
“Yes I am.”
We kept silent for a minute then laughed together. Then I realized my ring box was not in my hand. I kept looking for it.
I asked Ella when she cleaned up her clothes. “Ella… do you see my little box. It has a ribbon on it?”
She seemed confused and answered. “No I don’t see it. Is it fell when we bumped?”
“Unfortunately.”
“Oh shit.”
Then a little girl spoke when she heard Ella said that “shit word.” “Mommy said a bad word. You always angry when I said that word.”
Ella then held Hana and said.”I’m so sorry dear. You can punish me dearie.”
Then Hana pinched her mother’s cheek. She actually pretty cute today with a pink dress and a little red bag, she looked like a doll. And with Ella beside the view became cuter. Well… I didn’t say Ella also cute even yes she was although she just wore a simple blue T-shirt with jeans. She didn’t look like a 27 years old woman.
I kept looked for the ring box but seemed I couldn’t find it. I had to say I was very disappointed.
“Did you find it?” Ella asked me.
“No I didn’t.”
“When is your flight schedule?”
“In 1 pm and It almost the time!” I screamed when I saw my watch.
“Please don’t be too loud Chun. It’s airport!” She screamed back at me.
“Of course it had to be loud because I will miss my flight if I kept searching for my box!”
Hana laughed and said “Stop screaming Mom! We will miss our flight also.
“Shit!!” Ella immediately ran while still held Hana and her bag.
I confused whether I should keep looking for the ring or not. But I decided I will let the ring go and bought a new one in Taiwan. I ran to the plane and when I already in the plane I surprised once again. I sat with my race engineer and Hana. Another coincidences isn’t it?
“Hey why you are in Taiwan’s flight? You are from Brunei right?” Ella asked me while she fixed Hana’s seat belt.
“I have a personal matter there.”
“With your girl friend?” Surprised it was Hana that ask not Ella.
“Hana! You are so impolite with him!” Ella scolded Hana.
I smiled to Hana and Ella “It’s okay.”
Then I sat next to Hana.
Hana told me. “But I wanna be your princess how could you already have a princess?”
I rubbed her hair and said. “Well… she just my girl friend and not my princess. You are my one and only princess.”
“Really” Her eyes became so bright and it made her more adorable than usual.
I nodded. I just knew my flight to Taiwan will not boring as usual because the little princess that sat next to me will use her charm to always talk to me.

[Author’s Note]: The more I’m thinking the more I feel that this story gonna be a long story. Ha ha. Just tell me if you are getting bored with this story. LOL. I felt that this story just really in a slow place. It feels like I made a script for drama. Ha ha. Just tell me if I need to make the story’s pace faster. And… I realized there are sooooo many grammatical mistakes in my story. I really want to improve it. I plan to buy a grammar software or book tomorrow, so I will learn autodidact for improve my grammar. Wish me luck… lol. As usual just comment if you think my story worth to be commented. Even her name is Ella… the same real name like Cinderella but in my story I made her just like a woman that didn’t believe with this kind of happy ending fairy tale because she already through a hard relationship and it didn’t have a happy ending.
