They walked away in front of me. Yes that was true I didn’t have any personal matter with them. But seeing Hana’s sad expression when she knew I just waited for Charlene made me so sad too. I should just walked alone to the hotel or shopping around by my self without bothering with them. But I did an opposite action.
I called them back. “Wait! May I shop with you? Since my girlfriend just canceled my date. When you saw me called her actually she said she had a sudden tv show shoot.”
They turned their body into me. Ella saw me in a weird expression. An expression that reminded me again that I am just the driver and she was just my race engineer. The driver and race engineer shouldn’t be go shopping together like this.
But Hana changed her expression when she said “Sure! Of course! Mom… Can he join with us?”
I knew Ella just loved Hana so much so she will not able to reject her request. Beside, Hana had those puppy eyes that I knew no body will able to reject her. I looked into Ella and waited her answer to Hana’s request.
Finally she nodded and it made Hana jumped happily. Actually, the one who happy with Ella’s answer not only Hana but also me. Of course I couldn’t jump happily with Hana since it will make me looked childish in front of her.
Hana then hold my hand and Ella’s hand. Well… I little bit bothered with her action since it will make us looked like a family. A real family one. I stole a glance to Ella, waited for her reaction. She seemed okay with it so I should be okay with it. So what if people thought wrong thing about us. That was their problem and not our problem.
“Honey…. Where do you want to go first?” Ella asked Hana.
“Let me think….” Hana seemed really thinks hard.
“Hurry up dearie!” Ella rushed to Hana.
I laughed and said. “Relax Ella… we are not in the circuit and there is no lap timing here.”
“How dare you control me Wu Ji Zun! I’m your race engineer and its me that should control you not the opposite!” Ella pretended angry with me.
“Ups… sorry Mam!” I followed her jokes.
Hana keep giggled when they heard our jokes. “Childish.” She whispered.
Her mother rubbed her hair. “So my princess… Have you decided already?”
“Yes I have. I wanted to buy a lot of dresses! I want to be the real princess today!”
“Let’s go then!” I told Hana.
We looked for a perfect shop for a little girl’s dress. Finally we found a perfect shop. Ella told me the name of the shop is “Girl’s Dream” That’s why she chose the shop. Hana asked why her mom chose the shop and she explained to her since Hana didn’t able to read Chinese words,
The shop actually was pretty cute with pink and white theme all over the wall. I laughed in my heart. Grown up from little boy with race competitions almost in every month made me so far from the world of “girly stuff”. My life was full with automotive things so seeing a girly shop like this kind of a new experience for me. I looked into Ella and she seemed not bothered with this shop.
I forgot. She is a mother after all. She raised a little girl of course she used into this kind of situation. Even she worked at the place where dominated by men but still she was a woman deep inside. I could get by the way she handled all the situation related on Hana.
“Which one do you like Hana? Go ahead and choose by your self!” She told Hana.
Then Hana ran over to entire shop and after 10 minutes finally she brought like 5 dresses.
“Wow! A lot of dresses Hana!” I couldn’t help to comment.
“Mom said its okay.. isn’t it Mom?” Hana asked for her mother’s approval.
Ella nodded and then she helped Hana to try all of her dresses. Hana came out with new dress in her body.
“Prince what do you think about this dress” Hana asked for my opinion
“Hm…. Let me think first. I thought that dress just too girly…”
Ella blurted out into laugh “Mr Wu Ji Zun… of course that dress girly. First it is a dress and a dress must be girly. Second, Hana is a girl… what did you expect huh? Third… this shop only sell dresses.. they didn’t have any trousers in here…”
I realized the stupidity of my opinion. I couldn’t help but also laughed with her. Hana shook her head and for the second time of that day she called me. “Stupid.”
Finally we finished in that shop and Hana insisted that Ella should buy some clothes too.
“I didn’t need new clothes darling. Mommy has too much clothes already.”
“But I want Mommy has a new cloth so you will look pretty Mom.” Hana still stuck into her opinion about her mom need a new cloth.
Ella pouted and said “So do you mean your Mommy is not pretty huh? I’m so disappointed.”
“No, you are so pretty Ella.” I blurted out once again. What the hell that I was thinking? Why I said she was pretty. I mean… yes she is but I didn’t have to said it loud in front of her right. It was just so embarrassing.
Ella didn’t look into my eyes when she said “Thank you Chun.”
“I mean Wu Ji Zun.” She repeated her answer.
“You can call me Chun. I told you from the first day we met.”
“Okay… I will call you Chun but just in the non-formal occasion.” She was still as stubborn as usual.
It was Hana’s turn to search for a shop to buy her mother’s new cloth. She ran to find the perfect place and it made difficulty to Ella to follow her.
“She is just an active child.” I told Ella
“Yes she is. I didn’t know I should be grateful or sad with that fact. Her activeness made my mind going crazy if she was on the circuit. She didn’t know how danger the circuit is.”
When we reached the shop, Hana asked another request to her Mom. “Mom… let me pick the dress for you…”
“Okay… I will sit here and wait for you.” Ella answered to Hana and we sat on the chairs while waited for her.
“So… Chun, do you bore shopping with us?”
“No, I have so much fun. I didn’t familiar with Taiwan and my girlfriend canceled our date. I also didn’t have any acquaintances here so I’m glad I found you.”
“Well… Most of the guys will be bore if they accompany women doing shopping. You are not one of the guys isn’t it?”
“Proud to be with it.”
“Hey… didn’t you realize perhaps I mean… you are a guy outside…. But…”
Then she laughed after she had told that. I also laughed with her. Her teases and jokes really made me relax and comfort. Just like when we had an ice cream a few days ago. Definitely she was a woman which knew how to placed her own in different kind of situation.
There is a moment when she could become a race engineer. Nothing that I could say about that. She is a perfect race engineer. The best that I ever encounter with ever. She was so fierce when she became a race engineer so we as drivers would respect her instruction. There is a moment when she became a mother. An ordinary mother that definitely know how to love and care for her daughter. The role when she ever shown her vulnerable side. She also could become a friend. A friend that never hesitate to jokes and become playful with her friends. I felt me here as her friend here.
Actually I wondered how if she played her role as a woman. I almost saw that side of her when she encountered her ex-husband but I failed to see it because I had to bring Hana into my room.
Hana finally came with a red dress in her hand. “Mommy you should try it and let us see it.”
Ella grabbed the dress from Hana and after 5 minutes she came with had wore her dress. “It just too red…” She mumbled
She definitely looked so gorgeous. The red colour just fit with her flawless skin. The colour also could bring the “woman side” of her. Just a few minutes ago I thought about her woman side and looked at what I’m seeing now.
“Mommy.. You look so beautiful!” Hana ran into her and hugged her.
“Careful honey, we haven’t yet pay for this dress.”
“Red is daddy’s favorite color. You have to wear it in front of him Mommy. He must be so happy.”
Ella kept quiet. I bet she didn’t know how to respond into her daughter’s words. But then Ella smiled and said “He must be happy for sure. You still remember your daddy’s favorite color huh?”
“Of course. Because daddy drove for the Red’s Team.”
Ella kissed Hana’s cheek and then went to pay for the dress. I could saw a bitter expression in her when Hana started talk about her ex-husband. I wondered what happened until they got divorce.
After exhausted shopping here and there we got a nice dinner. Ella kept telling me to not eat “fatty meal” since she wanted me to do a diet for the sake of my profession as a driver and as a driver of her team.
I drove them to their home. Ella sat beside me with Hana on her lap. Hana had been slept in the way to the home.
“Hana must be so exhausted.” I told to Ella
“Yes she was. Sometimes she just exploded all of her energy in one day. She never able to kept quiet.”
“No wonder. Her parents came from “a mobile world””
Ella smiled then kept rubbed Hana’s hair.
Finally we reached in her home.
“Chun… thanks for your drive.”
“No problem Ella.”
I saw her had a difficulty to hold Hana and brought her stuffs at the same time. So I decided to help her brought Hana in her room.
Ella accompanied me again until the gate of her home.
“Thanks once again Chun.”
“Good night.”
“Good night.”
When I turned back suddenly Ella touched my hair and grabbed something on it while giggled and said “Look at what Hana did on your hair! She put her ribbon on your hair.”
I didn’t know what make me did that. I grabbed her hand and her face so closed into my face. That beautiful face in front of me. My heart is beating so fast and I kissed her. I kissed her on her lips. For a few minutes. A few minutes that I felt like heaven even I never went to heaven tough but if heaven really exist, this kiss must be feel like it because no body want to leave the heaven.
She didn’t respond my kiss at first. But after sometime, she responded into my kiss and kissed me back. The touchy kiss suddenly turned into a passionate one. I forgot, no I must say we forgot… who am I and who is she.
Suddenly she stopped the kiss and cried. I could feel the tears also dropped in my face. She said while crying “I didn’t want to get burned again. I had stopped my love engine and this kiss was a mistake. A big mistake.”
She ran and slammed her house’s door.
I just stood there. Definitely this kiss changed everything. Everything was going smoothly in our ordinary relationship. But I made it turned into a worse relationship. Sometimes relationship going like a racing. As she always said to me that in the beginning of my laps, I had to control the speed so I could feel the aura of the circuit and every single side of the circuit it self. But I didn’t follow her instruction. I suddenly maximized the speed and here I am now. Hitched the wall and crushed.

[Author’s Note]: LOL…. Even just my loyal readers who commented in the last chapter, but it’s okay ha ha. I’m such a demanding author and really feel bad for it lol. Actually I hoped I have a new reader so it will boost me to write more. But just read all your comments already boost me so here I am with an update. What do you think about this chapter? Yes you are right Comic didn’t stop them for having gf… but just they have to keep their gf in secret… So I thought I ever read somewhere they may have but have to keep it as a secret. Hana still loved Baron but she also get hurted. A child will never able to hate the parents right because there is no such thing as “an ex-parent”
