"Yes."
"You live here alone?"
"Well, it got lonely, so, I asked mother to come live with me."
"Is it just you?"
"Well, I have a small cottage in the back for the servants, but other than that, yep." He took out her luggage from the trunk and was walking towards the door.
He opened the door and gestured for her to go in first. She went in and was in awe of the hall. It was magnificent. There was a chandelier hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the hall. It was beautiful. "Did you want to go see your room?"
He was looking at her and she looked back. She blushed knowing that he was staring at her. "Sure." She followed him up the stairs and into a bedroom.
"You'll stay here. My room is just across, and your mom's room is right next to yours." She opened up the door to her mom's room and found pictures of him and her mom together. She felt a bit jealous because for a moment there, it was as if he was her mom's son.
He put her luggage into her room and she came into the room. "So, do you like it?"
"Yes. It's very comfortable."
"Would you like to shower first, or have lunch?"
"I....I'll shower first." He left the room and went into his own. She heard the shower go on and knew that he was probably taking one too.
After she got ready, she went downstairs and found some servants already cleaning and cooking.
"Oh, you're done. What did you want to eat?"
"Anything's fine." She turned around and saw him behind her in the kitchen.
"You sure?"
"Yeah."
After dinner, he took her on a tour of his house. They were outside in the backyard just staring into the sky. "The stars are beautiful here."
He was looking at her, not the stars. "Yes. They are." She turned and saw him staring at her. She blushed again. She didn't know why she was blushing so much. He saw her shiver a little. "You cold? Let's go back inside." He turned around and she followed him in.
When they got inside, he turned around to face her. "I have some things to do. You can either go into the library or you can go into the entertainment room."
"Entertainment room?"
"There's a big screen tv, arcades, pool, etc. Mrs. Lee..."
An older lady walked up to them. "Can you take Miss Yoon to the entertainment room?"
"Yes, sir." Mrs. Lee turned around and held onto Yoon Eun Hye's arms. "Come. I'll show you where it is."
She went with the older lady and saw him enter a room that looked like an office.
He was finally alone. He couldn't control himself.
Everytime he was near her, he can't help, but look at her.
He missed seeing her smile. He missed her sad eyes. He was sitting on his chair behind a big oak desk. He was frustrated. He didn't know why he had agreed to her proposal. He only wished that it was true. He put his head in his hands and leaned onto the desk. "What am I doing?"
In the entertainment room, she was looking around and noticed the wide selection of films.
"Mr. Joo spends very little time in here. He's hardly home, but I don't know why he always buys movies."
"Does he use this room a lot?" She was curious as to why he would spend money on something he didn't need.
"No. I think I've only seen him in here once. With....your mother."
"My mother? They watched a movie together?"
"Oh, yes. He adores your mother. He loves her a lot....and....you too."
She looked at Mrs. Lee, but saw only a happy expression. "What....what do you mean?"
"Oh, aren't you engaged to him?"
"Yes."
"Well, if you go into his room.." Mrs. Lee was cut off.
"I'm going to go to bed now. Mrs. Lee can take you up to your room when you're ready."
She looked up at him and noticed that his eyes were red. "Is something wrong?"
"Oh, it's nothing." He turned around and left her in the room.
"I'd like to go to bed too." She announced.
"Oh, ok. I'll show you the way." Mrs. Lee led the way to her bedroom.
She entered her room fell onto her bed. She was thinking about what Mrs. Lee was talking about. "His room? What's in his room? I must take a look tomorrow." She finally fell alseep after thinking of a way to sneak into his room.
