"It's ok. I'll just take a cab."
"Just wait. I'll take you there. What will mom think if she gets to know that her son-in-law didn't take her daughter to go see her?"
"Fine. When will you be home?"
"Around 3. I'll call before I come so you can get ready."
"Ok." He got up and turned around. "You're leaving already?"
"Yes. I have a meeting with some new clients. They just flew in and need to get back soon, so I've got to go."
"Oh,..." She looked down at her food. He looked at her and saw a sad expression.
"Did you want something?"
"Oh, no. It's ok. I can wait until you come back."
"What did you want?"
She looked up at him with bright eyes. "I was wondering if I can use your office?"
"Uhmmmmm, for what?"
"I have some things to do. I need to get some paper works out to the hospital."
"Oh, ok. Just tell Mrs. Lee to open the office for you.
She has the keys to all the rooms."
"Oh, does she?" She smiled and was happy that she would find a way to get into his room. "Ok, thank you."
"No problem. I'm leaving now."
"Ok. Bye, see you later. Remember, call me before you come back." She yelled at his retreating back.
She heard the door closed and his car drive off. She shot up out of her chair. Mrs. Lee was clearing the table. "I need to use the office. Joo Ji Hoon said that it was ok."
"Of course. Here." She handed her the keys. "I won't be here for a while. I need to go shopping for some groceries. I'm going to leave now. You can open it yourself, right?"
She smiled mischievously. "Yes. You go on ahead. I'll be fine." Mrs. Lee left the house and she finally got the house all to her self. All the servants were already back at the cottage and won't be back until lunch time. She rushed to open the office door and then ran upstairs. "Which one is it?" She tried all the keys, but none of them worked. "Just great. The key isn't here." She heard the door open so she ran into her room.
Joo Ji Hoon forgot some of his files on his desk from last night so he came back to get it, but when he got to the office, the door was open and no one was inside. "Yoon Eun Hye!" He ran upstairs and found her in her room. "Oh, I thought...Did you leave the office door open?"
She looked up at him innocently. "Oh, I was just about to go down there. I just needed to get some papers." She waved some paper in front of her.
"Oh, ok. I just forgot some files. I'll be leaving now." He turned to leave, but then turned back to face her. "If you need anything, just call for Mrs. Lee. Oh, wait. She went shopping. She'll take about the whole day. Ummmm, just call out to the cottage. Someone will come help you."
"Ok." He left and she finally was able to breath normally. "oh, almost got caught." She went downstairs into the office and turned on the computer. She didn't have anything to do, so she was just browsing the internet. All of a sudden, she heard a noise coming from another room. She followed the noise and found it to be the entertainment room. She opened the door and found a little boy sitting in front of the television. "Ahem."
The little boy turned around and looked at her.
She wanted to know who the kid was. "Hi. Who are you?"
"Ummmm...I'm..." He got up and turned off the movie. "Are you my daddy's friend?"
She looked at him as if he was crazy. "What....what did you just say? Your....dad?"
"Yes. This is my dad's house. What are you doing here? I've never seen a girl except my grandma and the servants in this house."
"Grandma?"
His face turned sad. "Yeah. She's sick. She went to the hospital. Daddy said that he'll take me to go see her after he comes home."
"In the hospital?" She was surprised. She didn't know what to do. Was the boy really Joo Ji Hoon's? "Where's your mommy?"
"Oh," his face turned sad again. "My mommy's working in Seoul. She won't be back for a long time."
"What does she do?" She was confused. She didn't know if this was all a dream.
"She's a doctor. She saves people's lives." His face turned sad. "But sometimes I miss her. I've never seen her before. Only pictures of her."
