"Ummm,...yes." He gave a sad face and turned around. "But, you're coming with me. I just need to go get my things and then, we'll come back home."
He gave her a big smile. "Really? I want to go too. Can I go with mommy, daddy?" He turned to look at his father.
His father nodded and he ran into his mom's arms. "Yay. I get to go with you, mommy."
They were at a park enjoying their lunch, but then Yoojin ran off and played on the fairground.
"Yoon Eun Hye. You don't have to take him. You can just leave. I know it's difficult."
"How can I leave him? I love him. He's going with me. We'll be back soon. I just need to get things ready in Seoul and then, we'll be back." He turned to look at her
with questioning eyes.
"Are you sure? He's not your responsibility. I'll take care of him."
"He's mine too. I won't ever leave him again. Even if it means...." She looked at Yoojin playing on the fairground. "I'm gonna go back to Seoul and....break it off with Im Taebin."
He turned to look at her, but only saw sadness. If only she never found out of Yoojin, none of this would have happened. "No. You can just leave. Yoojin will understand.
He's understood it all his life."
"All his life? He's only four! He doesn't understand anything. All he knows is that, he's never seen his mom his whole life. I entered his life and I'm not leaving it." She got up, but he grabbed her hand. She looked back down at him.
"I'm sorry to have dragged you into this mess. I didn't mean to. I really didn't want you to find out about Yoojin."
"And to let him think his mother abandoned him his whole life? You're making me the bad person here. I love him and I'll be his mom for the rest of his life. I'll never let him know the truth."
"Yoon Eun Hye....it's not that easy."
Yoojin was running towards them. "Mommy! Look what I got you." He handed her a weed flower. "Blow on it mommy. Make a wish."
She closed her eyes and blew on the flower. She opened her eyes and smiled. "My wish came true."
Yoojin looked at his mom. "It did?"
She nod her head. "Yep. You want to know what I wish for?"
He nodded his head.
"I wish that you'll never leave me and I'll never leave you. I'll always be with you, ok?" He ran into his mom's
embrace.
"Mommy, my wish came true too."
"It did?" She looked at him surprisingly.
He nodded. "I wished that you would come back and visit me. Even if you don't want me, at least, you'll come and see me." He rubbed her cheeks and wiped the tears away. "I'm sorry, mommy. I made you cry."
She hugged him tighter. "No. I'm just really happy that both our wish came true."
"Daddy's wish came true too."
"It did?" She turned to look at Joo Ji Hoon. He looked away trying to ignore the stare from her. "What was it?"
"He wished that mommy would come back and live with us. See? You did."
"I sure did." She looked at him and smiled.
