They both stopped and turned to their right. They saw Yoojin staring wide eyed at them. Joo Ji Hoon immediately let go of Yoon Eun Hye and she went forward.
"Yes, honey?" She knelt down by him kissing him on the cheeks.
"Can I sleep with you and daddy tonight?" He gave her a pouty look and she couldn't refuse. She turned to Joo Ji Hoon and smiled at him.
"Sure."
A week later, they're all back at Joo Ji Hoon's house. Her mother was excited that they decided to get married. She knows that the love between her daughter and Joo Ji Hoon has not grown very much, but she knew that it will. With time and with patience.
"Mom.." She turned and saw Joo Ji Hoon calling for her.
"Yes?" She walked towards him. All of a sudden, Yoojin jumped out of nowhere.
"Boo!" He ran into his grandma's arms. "Did I scare you grandma?"
She gave a pat on his cheeks and then kissed him. "No, your mother always use to do that to me."
"Do what?" Yoon Eun Hye just walked in and didn't know what they were talking about.
"And I would always get frighten."
They were having lunch on the patio and enjoying themselves. "Where will you sleep tonight, Yoon Eun Hye?"
"Ummm,...." Yoon Eun Hye turned to look at Joo Ji Hoon.
"Mom, if you don't mind, can she sleep with me?" She turned to look at Joo Ji Hoon.
She was happy, but still, she was a mom. "Have you guys already..."
"Mom! What are you thinking? It's not like that."
"Oh, ok then. As long as you guys keep everything, and I mean EVERYTHING to yourselves then, it's fine....At least until the wedding." She gave a big smile, but Yoon Eun Hye gave her a disgusted look.
They were all in their own rooms. Yoon Eun Hye was changing for bed. "Mom is so funny. She thinks that we would actually do that kind of thing. I mean...we've kissed, but that's about it."
"So..." She turned to look at Joo Ji Hoon. "You want to go further than a kiss?"
"Joo Ji Hoon, don't joke around. I just meant that it hasn't gotten to that point yet."
He walked up to her and hugged her from behind. "You already know how I feel about you, right?"
She was quiet, but she knew already. The very moment she saw her photos in his room for the first time.
"But I still don't know how you feel about me, Yoon Eun Hye."
She got out of his grasp and turned around to face him. "I'm fond of you, but it's just not love. I'm not in love with you."
His expression changed immediately. "I know that you won't be able to forget about Im Taebin. That's why I think it's better to call this wedding off before we go too far."
He was still looking into her eyes, trying to search of any clues as to what she feels about what he just said.
She stayed silent and that was a good enough answer for him. "I'll sleep in the living room tonight." He turned around to leave, but she grabbed onto his hand and turned him to face her.
She was still silent, but she spoke at last. "I know that we're marrying for the wrong reasons, but I think that it will work out. It's not easy letting go of someone you've been with for four years. Try to understand me and give me time."
"Yoon Eun Hye...it's not that easy. If you're not willing to put your heart into this marriage, then......it will never work." He turned to leave and she didn't try to stop him again.
