"aren't you supposed to be at work?"
he turned around and saw her packing more stuff into another luggage. "Where are you going?"
She just kept busy and didn't answer him. He grabbed her wrist and turned her to face him. "What are you doing?"
"Ji Hoon, I have a life too. I need to get back."
He let go of her hand. "What about the wedding?"
"Don't worry. I'll be back in time for the wedding. Tell Yoojin I'll be back."
"What? You're leaving now? Aren't you going to wait until he comes back first?"
"I can't. I'll be late." She turned to her luggage and dragged them out of the room. He grabbed her wrist and turned her around. She looked staright into his eyes.
"Was it because of yesterday?" She turned to the side to avoid looking at him.
"No. I must really get back to work. Tell Yoojin that I'll miss him."
"Eun Hye..."
"I trust you. Please let go." He looked at her trying to search for her face. He finally let go and she left immediately. She went downstairs and left her luggages by the door. She went into his study to grab some documents that she received that morning.
"How are you getting to the airport?" She jumped from being startled.
"I..I called a taxi already."
"I'll take you to the airport."
"There's no need. The taxi should be here any moment." She walked past him, but he caught her wrist. She turned to look at him.
"Are you sure you trust me?"
"I do." She walked away and went to the door to find her luggages gone. "Where did I put them? I thought they were here?"
"I already put them in the car. Let's go, if you don't want to be late."
"Ji Hoon...I don't want to be an inconvenient to you. You probably need to get back to work."
"Work is not as important as my wife. Let's go." He walked past her and out the door. All she could do was follow him.
When they were at the airport, she got her ticket and was checked in. "Take care of Yoojin. I'll be back soon."
"Eun Hye...why do you have to go back? I though you got a vacation?"
"Ji Hoon, it's not as easy as you think. I have clients that I need to meet up with. I have to go."
"When will you be back?"
"I don't know. I'll call before I come back. I'll make it before the wedding."
"The wedding's not for another two months. You'll be gone for that long?"
"Probably." Suddenly, her cell started ringing. She picked it up. "Hello? Mom...what's wrong?....Yoojin? I...I'm at the airport already. Alright...I gotta go. Bye."
"What's wrong with Yoojin?" She looked up at him.
"He's at home and is crying. You'll have to go back and deal with it." Suddenly, her cell started ringing again. "Hello? Yoojin....don't cry. I'll come back. I love you. I'll call you everyday, ok? I miss you. Bye honey....bye..." She started crying and people started staring at them. She hung up the phone and started wiping her tears.
"Eun Hye...stop crying. They think I did something to you." He handed her a napkin and she started to wipe her tears.
"I have to go or I'll be late." She turned around and started walking towards the gate. He stood there looking at her retreating back.
"I love you." He whispered low enough for only himself to hear. She stopped for a couple of seconds thinking that Ji Hoon said something to her, but she though it was just her imagination. He saw her stop and was hopeful, but then she started walking off again. He just stood there until she disappeared.
He turned around and started walking towards the exit. Right when he got to the exit, he stared back at where they were just moments ago. He started running towards the gate she was heading for.
"YOON EUN HYE!!!" She was right at the gate, but he was too far away to be heard. "EUN HYE!!!" She walked into the gate and he stopped midway of his run. He was trying to catch his breath by leaning down. He looked up to see Eun Hye at the gate looking at him.
He ran up to the gate and they stared at each other.
"I love you." She stared wide eyed at him. "Come back soon." He grabbed her shoulders and hugged her real tight. "Yoojin will miss you a lot. Don't forget to call." He finally let go. She was still speechless.
'Does he really love me? Did he just say that?'
"Miss, you have to get in or you're going to be holding the flight." She turned to one of the attendant speaking to her.
"Sorry." Ji Hoon let go and she just turned around to go back into the gate. He grabbed hold her hand and pulled her around.
"Don't forget to call." She just nodded, but then he pulled her up against him and kissed her on the lips.
