"I'm sorry to bother again, but miss...you're holding the flight."
Eun Hye finally came out of her daze and turned to look at the attendant.
"I'm sorry...Ji Hoon...take care." She turned around and entered the gate to board the airplane.
Ji Hoon got home to hear the silence of the house. He went into the living room and found Eun Hye's mom on the couch with Yoojin in her lap sleeping peacefully. He walked up to them and kissed Yoojin on the cheeks.
"How is he?"
"He just stopped crying for a couple of minutes now." She looked into Ji Hoon's eyes to search the truth. "Where was Eun Hye going?"
"She went back to tend to some business."
"Couldn't she wait until after the wedding?"
"Mom, it's ok. I understand. Yoojin will have to understand too. I'm always off on business trips. Yoojin would understand."
He picked Yoojin off her lap and took him up the stairs towards Yoojin's room. He walked up the stairs smelling the fresh scent of his son's hair. When they got to Yoojin's room he laid him on his bed and kissed him on the cheeks again. He sat next to his son and brushed the hair from his face.
"Don't worry. She'll be back. She loves you a lot so she won't leave you."
That night, Eun Hye called Yoojin and told him to be a good boy while she was gone. She didn't talk to Ji Hoon afraid of what might be said.
She went to sleep, but couldn't sleep at all. She kept looking at the clock by her bedside and it was already 2 in the morning. She picked up the phone and dialed halfway for his cell number but then she hung up. She placed the phone back on the stand, but then she picked it up again. She hesitated before dialing again. She let it rang once and then the second time, but then she hung up immediately.
He woke up to the ringing of his cellphone, but then it stopped ringing. He read the caller id and it was Eun Hye. He pressed redial, but then hung up. He finally mustered up the courage and then dialed again. It rang twice before she picked up.
"Sorry, did I wake you up?"
Ji Hoon turned on his light and rubbed his eyes. "Yeah." He yawned right away.
"Ok, never mind. I'm sorry."
"No, don't. I want to talk to you." She braced herself for what he was going to say.
"Yes?"
"About this morning....I...didn't..."
She knew that he would take his words back. "It's ok. I understand."
"Eun Hye, you always say that you trust and understand me, but do you really?" He knew what she was thinking already.
"Yes. I trust you and understand everything that you do."
"Eun Hye, about this morning...I meant it." Her heart skipped a beat.
"What?"
He smiled and repeated. "I meant what I said to you this morning. Well, I mean yesterday morning. I love you. I don't want to lose you."
"What I meant to say earlier was that I didn't mean to embarrass you in front of a lot of people. Apparently, we'll be on the front news tomorrow."
"What?"
"They caught our pictures at the airport." He got an e-mail from an annonymous person having their pictures kissing each other at the airport.
"Will they really post it?"
"Probably, but...you don't want it?" It was quiet on the other end. 'Maybe she doesn't want the world to know that she has someone already.' "I can try to stop it if you don't want it to be published."
"....Ji Hoon,...I..I don't think that I'm ready."
"Eun Hye, don't worry. I'll stop the publishing."
"No, it's fine."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah.....I have a meeting tomorrow morning so I'll talk to you later."
"Ok, goodnight."
"Night." She hung up first and went to sleep peacefully.
The next morning everyone was smiling at her and she already knew why. Song Ji Hyo was walking with her towards her office.
"What is wrong with everyone?"
"Oh, like you wouldn't know. You've been smiling non-stop ever since yesterday when you got off the plane."
"Can I see the newspaper for today?"
Song Ji Hyo laughed. "You never read the newspaper. Why today?"
Eun Hye tried to hide her smile, but she hit Ji Hyo on the arm. "Just get me one."
"Here." Ji Hyo handed her the front page.
She walked into her office while looking at the photo of Ji Hoon and her kissing at the gate. She stepped into the office and finally put the newspaper down. She looked up at Ji Hyo to find her looking elsewhere. She looked to where Ji Hyo was looking.
"Im Taebin...."
"Excuse me." Ji Hyo left her office to let them have some privacy.
"What are you doing here?"
He walked up to her and just kept walking while she was backing up. She was up against the wall and he leaned forward. "Do you enjoy kissing him? Or do you miss this?" He leaned forward and kissed her hard on the lips.
She pushed him away and wiped her lips harshly. "Taebin...we're over. There's nothing between us anymore." She walked past him and went behind her table seeking refuge. He turned around to look at her. "Are you sure? In the picture...you did't look like you enjoyed it very much. Was it just for show? I know you too well Eun Hye. You don't love him, do you?"
"Get out!"
Taebin knew too well to say anything anymore. He left, but just after a few seconds Ji Hyo entered.
"Are you ok?" Ji Hyo walked up to Eun Hye and hugged her. She cried in Ji Hyo's arms.
"Ji Hyo....I don't know if I'm doing the right thing? I don't know if I really love him."
"What?"
