Chapter 27

Last Time To Meet

"Ji Hyo, I'm not sure if I really love him."

"What are you saying? I thought that you would have figured it out by now." Eun Hye moved out of Ji Hyo's embrace.

"I like him, that's for sure, but...I..my feelings for him....is it really love?"

"What do you mean by is it really love? You either love him or you don't."

"I don't know. Everytime I'm with him, he makes me feel different from when I was with Taebin. I feel like I can be myself around him. I don't have to act strong and powerful like when I'm here." She turned to face out the window.

"With him,....I don't know...maybe it's just because I'm not here. If we move here, it'd be the same as before." She looked up at her friend. "Right?"

Ji Hyo didn't know what to say. She didn't know how Eun Hye was feeling at the moment. "You'll know when it's the time."

Right then, Eun Hye's cell started ringing. Ji Hyo left the room to give her some privacy.

"Eun Hye."

"Eun Hye, did you see the paper yet?"

"Ji Hoon...." Just his voice made her heart flutter. "Ummm.."

"Hello? Are you still there?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah, I saw it already."

Ji Hoon noticed that she was acting different.

"Is everything ok?"

"Yeah...I have a meeting so I have to go now."

"Oh, ok. Bye."

"Bye."

"Don't forget to eat something."

"Ok." She hung up not wanting to talk to him anymore.

'Do I love him? Is this what love feels like?' She could feel her heart pounding so hard that she thinks that it would just jump out of her chest.

She went into Ji Hyo's office.

"I'm sorry. So, about the meeting..."

"Eun Hye, you know I wouldn't drag you out here again, but it was urgent."

"I know. What's going to be covered during the meeting?"

"Was Ji Hoon mad when you were leaving?"

"I didn't tell him until the last minute so he was."

"What? You weren't even going to tell him? Let me guess...you packed everything that night before and then decided to leave when he went to work, but...how did you guys kiss at the airport?" Ji Hyo was confused by her own question. Eun Hye looked at her stupidly.

"I was about to leave, but then he came home and caught me."

"Oh, so he took you to the airport. And then...you guys decided to display your love for one another at a place where there are the most people in."

"It wasn't like that. He just...all of a sudden..." Ji Hyo was smiling non-stop so Eun Hye decided to stop trying to explain. "Whatever..."

"You know, maybe you wanted him to do it."

"What?" She hit Ji Hyo on the arm. "Ok, enough of this. The meeting..."

"Oh, yeah. So, they're going to have a board meeting soon. It's going to be in three hours. All you have to do is attend the meeting and put some of you inputs into what the want to change."

"Is that all?"

"Pretty much. After the meeting, you can go back."

"Already? I thought that it was going to take longer than that."

"Well, it does, but I'll handle everything." Eun Hye was looking through the files. "Eun Hye..."

Eun Hye looked up at Ji Hyo. "If you don't love him, don't begin anything with him. It'll be harder to break it off if something's already started."

"What if I..."

"Eun Hye, you didn't already..."

"Ji Hyo, how could you think that."

"Well, you were looking worried."

"But..if I did, will it be a part of the something that will make it harder to break up?"

"Eun Hye! I knew it!"

"What? I didn't do it yet."

"Don't lie to me. I know it already. Eun Hye...how could you do that to him? What if you decide to leave?"

"I won't."

"You don't know that. The wedding's not for a while. What if something happens before then? What if you get pregnant after you guys break up?"

"Ji Hyo!" She covered Ji Hyo's mouth. "Do you have to speak so loud? I've already thought about that."

"Did you use...?"

Eun Hye looked away. "Oh my gosh! How stupid can you be?"

"I'm not stupid. It just happened."

"Did he force himself on you?"

"Ji Hyo, you...ugh...no."

"You didn't stop it, huh? I could tell that he probably tried to though."

"How would you know that he would stop?"

"Because..he obviously loves you so he wouldn't risk something like that to jeopordize the relationship. But...you..."

Her cell suddenly rang. She looked at the caller id and it was Im Taebin. She put the phone down, but picked it up and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Eun Hye, I'm sorry about this morning. Don't hang up yet."

"Why shouldn't I?"

"Because I know you wanted to talk to me otherwise you wouldn't have picked it up."

'Why does he know me so well?'

"What is it? I have to go to a meeting soon."

"Can you meet me after your meeting. I just wanted to say a few things and to get it off my chest."

"There's nothing to say anymore."

"Eun Hye,...you're the one who left me broken hearted. I just want to end things nicely. Not like this."

"Fine. 3:00 p.m. at the cafe around the corner."

"Thank you."

Eun Hye hung up not knowing if she made the right decision to see him one last time and even, out in public.

Im Taebin dialed his phone to another person.

"It'll be at 3 at the cafe around the hospital. Make sure you're there at the right time."

"Yes sir."
