Chapter 29

One Week What?

All of a sudden, a man came charging at her and pushed her off the road. He cushioned her fall and he himself hit his head and scraped his arm on the sidewalk. She looked up to see who had saved her.

"Ji Hoon.....what.." She got up, but accidentally pushed his side and he winced. "Ohhh, I'm sorry." She helped him up and they walked across the raod to her office.

When they were in the office and she was cleaning his cuts she couldn't help but wonder why he was there.

"Why didn't you accept the gift?"

Eun Hye looked at him weirdly, but then remembered Tae Bin just now in the cafe.

"How did you..What are you doing here?" She tried to change the subject.

"I trust you." She looked up at him instantly.

"Mommmyyyy!" She turned to the door and saw Yoojin at the door. He ran up to his mom and hugged her.

"Yoojin...what are you doing here?"

"Daddy brought me here."

She looked at Ji Hoon and smiled. "I missed you so much honey. Have you been a good boy?"

Yoojin looks at his dad and then to his mom.

She turned to look at Ji Hoon. "He was causing a lot of trouble. That's why I brought him here to see you."

"What kind of trouble were you causing Yoojin?" Yoojin stayed quiet.

"Yoojin, tell mommy why we came." Eun Hye looked at Yoojin and saw his cute little eyes twinkling at her.

"Was it because you miss me?" Yoojin nodded his head. She kissed him on the cheeks and smiled. "I missed you too."

"Are you hungry?" She looked over at Ji Hoon and nodded. "Good, we haven't eaten since we got here."

"What? Yoojin, are you hungry?" He just nodded.

"Ok. Let's go." They went out for lunch and went to the park.

Ji Hoon and Eun Hye were on the bench because Yoojin was running around the park.

"How is it going down here?"

"There's still a lot to do. I haven't even started on it yet." She didn't understand why she had just lied now, but she was worried about something. "Is something wrong? Is mom ok?"

"Oh, it's nothing. Everything's fine." He looked away because he didn't want her to know that he missed her a lot.

"What was wrong with Yoojin?" Ji Hoon turned to look at Yoojin running around the playground.

"He wouldn't eat his meals. He hasn't been eating a lot since you left."

"What? Why is he doing that? Is he not hungry? But at lunch, he ate a lot."

"He misses you. There's nothing to worry about."

She looked at Ji Hoon while he was looking at Yoojin and saw a father for her child. "Don't worry."

He turned to look at her. "I'm not worried about you not showing up for the wedding.....I'm worried about you." She looked down to the floor. "I know that it's sort of a force for you to marry me because of Yoojin."

"No. You didn't force me. I want to do it of my free will."

"Eun Hye...we don't have to go through with it if you have doubts. You don't have to marry me."

"What? So you're suggesting that we just live like we did before?"

"No...we can live together, but with no strings attach." She looked up at him and saw how tired he must have been the past couple of weeks.

"No strings attach...meaning....."

"Yes....I don't expect anything from you married or not."

She nodded and he felt disappointed that she was considering not marrying him.

She stood up, but then winced. She held onto her stomach because there was a shot of pain that went through her.

"Eun Hye, are you ok?"

"Ji Hoon, it hurts." She looked at him and then he rushed her to the hospital.

At the hospital she was in the examination room with the doctor. "How is it doctor? What's wrong with me?"

The doctor looks at her and decides to tell her. "You're really close to having a miscarriage."

"Miscarriage? I'm not pregnant."

"Your examination shows that you are pregnant. You're a week pregnant already."

"A week?" She suddenly remembered that night with Ji Hoon.
