"Where's my son?"
"Mr. Joo, you're here."
"Who kidnapped my son?"
"Mr. Joo, please calm down."
Eun Hye held onto his hand to divert his attention. She gave his hand a squeeze and a reassuring look.
"Mr. Joo, we have reasons to believe that he went on his own free will."
"His own free will? How would he do that? He doesn't even know anyone besides us."
"This is a school and we can't monitor every single students. We don't know why he would have left either."
Suddenly the principal's phone started ringing.
"Hello, this is the principal's office."
"Yoojin? I'll send a police for him. Thank you. Officer, please go to room 12B and get the student Yoojin please."
The police officer went and came back with Yoojin.
"Yoojin!" Eun Hye rushed to Yoojin's side and knelt down next to him looking him over.
"Where did you go?!!!" Yoojin jumped a little and looked at his dad. "Who were you with?"
"Ji Hoon, you don't have to scream." She brushed his hair back and hugged him.
"Daddy...I.."
"He was with me."
Everyone turned to the voice at the door.
"Kangta?" Ji Hoon was surprised to see his best friend standing at the door of the principal's office.
"No. I'm his older brother. I'm sorry if I gave anyone any distress."
"What were you doing with Yoojin?"
"I...I just found out about him a couple days ago."
"Found out?"
"We...my family and Boa's family never knew about Yoojin."
Eun Hye stood up and stood next to Ji Hoon staring at Kangta's brother.
"What do you mean you guys didn't know about the..about Yoojin?"
"Ji Hoon..." He looked at Eun Hye and saw her nod towards Yoojin.
"Mom, can you take Yoojin home?"
Eun Hye kissed Yoojin on the cheeks and told him it would be ok.
Ji Hoon turned to Kangta's older brother again. "I'm sorry. How could not either side of the family not know about the child for two years?"
"Neither side of the families approved of the wedding. In the end, they left each other. Kangta moved to Seoul and Boa left the country. Neither families kept contact after they broke up. We never knew that they even got back together, until...the accident."
"Wait, you mean, they broke up? Kangta went to England for a couple of weeks for a business trip. Did Boa go to England too because they got married just a couple of months after that"
"Yes, but Kangta didn't know where she went after they broke up. They never kept in contact."
"So, what do you guys want with Yoojin now?"
"Well, he's righfully ours. He is our family."
"You guys never wanted him in the first place."
"We never even knew that he existed. Both sides of the families wants him and we're going to go to court to fight for custody."
"No. He doesn't know anything about this. I don't want to put him through this."
"Ji Hoon, you can't do anything. He's not even yours."
"You can't take my son from me."
Kangta's older brother handed him a piece of paper.
"These are lawyer's documents. We'll see you in court to see who will be getting Yoojin."
Ji Hoon grabbed Eun Hye's hand and walked out of the office towards his car.
"Ji Hoon, what are we going to do? We might lose him to his family."
"Don't worry. I won't let it happen."
They got home to see Yoojin in his room doing his homework.
"Yoojin." Yoojin looked up at his dad and hung his head low. "Why did you go with that man?"
"He said that he was my daddy's brother. Daddy..I didn't know that you didn't have a brother."
"Yoojin, you can't just trust anyone who says anything."
Ji Hoon walked into his son's room and sat on the bed. Yoojin walked towards his dad and sat on his lap. Yoojin brushed his hair back and kissed his forehead.
"I don't want to lose you to your family."
"My family?"
"Yes. Your real family."
