"Because she loves you too much!!!! I know how much she wants me to marry you!!! I know that she wants you to be her son-in-law!!! I know that she will never accept Im Taebin!!!" She shouted and fell into his arms. Everyone was now looking at them both. She felt so weak in his arms. "I know that she has hopes for us even though we have nothing. I just didn't want to disappoint her anymore. I knew that when I left here, after my father died, I wouldn't come back. I wanted her to come with me, but she insist on staying. I knew that her reasons were not because of her, but because of you. It was so that I would come back and have a reason to see you. That's why,....during those two years, I never came to see you. I didn't want my mother to get her hopes up."
She looked up at him and tears were blinding her visions.
All of a sudden everything went black. The last she remembered was him calling out her name.
He was looking at her lying on the hospital bed. "I'm sorry. It's because of me, you're like this." He fell asleep because it was late at night. His head was lying on the bed when she awoke. She turned and saw him sleeping.
She already knew that she had fainted. She touched his hair and then went down to his cheeks. All of a sudden his phone was ringing, but he didn't hear it. He was still sleeping. She reached down into his jacket and got out his cell phone.
"Hello?"
"Uh...is this Joo Ji Hoon's cell?"
"Yes."
"Who's this?"
"I'm...." She needed to do it for her mom. "I'm his...fiance."
"Fiance? Oh yeah, the one living in Seoul. He's in Seoul right now, right?"
"Uh, no. We went back to Inch'on. Can I take a message?"
"Yeah, sure. Tell him that Minwoo called. Tell him that my partner wants to meet up with him too."
"Ok. Does he have your number?"
"Yeah. Thank you."
"Bye." She hung up the phone just as he was waking up. She handed him his cell. "A guy named Minwoo called. He said that his partner wanted to meet you."
"Oh, thanks. Why'd he call so late?" He looked up at her and touched her forehead. "Are you feeling better?"
She moved her head away from his hand. "I'm fine. Thank you for everything....About what Doctor Kim Jung Hoon said earlier...."
"Don't think too much of it. Just tell your mom that you love someone else."
"No." She looked up at him. "I love my mom too much to put her through something like this again. What if I do tell her? Right from my mouth? What will happen? I can't risk it again. Joo...Ji...Hoon, I want to do what Doctor Kim Jung Hoon suggestes earlier."
He looked at her straight in the face. "We can't do that. We'll be lying to your mom. She'll be really hurt if she get to find out the truth."
"I won't let her know the truth. There's only a couple of months left until the contract is voided. We can just act until then. Then, when the contract ends, we'll have a big fight and we'll depart."
"I'm not going to do this with you. I can't lie to mother." He got up and left the room. He was standing outside the door talking to himself. "I can't do it,....because....I might not be able to....let you go."
