"Yes. Can I go see my mom?"
"Sure." He grabbed her and helped her to her mother's room which was across the hall. When they had entered, they noticed that her mom was already asleep. "Do you wanna stay or go back?"
"Can you take me to the garden? I want some fresh air."
"Are you sure? It's kinda windy today." He looked at her pleading eyes and gave in. He brought her outside and they were sitting on a bench. They were both quiet, just enjoying the music nature had to offer.
Joo Ji Hoon looked over at her and saw that she was stressed. He knew that he shouldn't give in, but it was to
help her mom. He also didn't want her mom to suffer like that again. Who knows how worse it can get. "I'll do it."
She turned to look at him. They were looking eye to eye. "Do what?"
"I'll do what you want. If it's to help mother get better, I'll do it."
"Are you sure? You don't have to. In the end, the result will be the same. She will know that I am with another man."
"She just had a mild heart attack. We can't risk it again. Who knows how long until she asks you about your boyfriend. It's not worth it. We have to let your mom know that we're together as soon as possible."
"You mean, today?"
"Yeah. I've got a meeting today, but I told them to meet me at the hospital. So, we'll talk to mom after the meeting." He held onto her cheeks and she touched his hand. "Don't worry about it. Mom will not find out about anything." She shook her head. They both got up from the bench. "The meetings in ten minutes. I've gotta go. Let me take you to your room."
"Okay." He was holding her and they were walking back to her room when someone called out his name.
"Joo Ji Hoon!"
He turned around and saw Minwoo and the business partner.
"Oh, I didn't expect to see you guys here so quickly."
"We just got here a little bit early."
Minwoo's partner asked where the restroom was and was directed towards the way.
"Is this your fiance?" Minwoo asked surprised that Joo Ji Hoon's fiance looked so young.
He looked at her and she shook her head up and down. "Yes."
"Finally, I get to meet the famous one who caught Joo Ji Hoon's heart. Did you know that in college, he never fell in love with any of the girls he went out with? He told me that there was already one who had his heart. I guess it must have been you since you guys have been engaged for what, four years now?"
She was stunned to hear the news. She never knew that he didn't have a serious girlfriend in college. She knew that he didn't go out with anyone in high school either, so she was confused. She didn't know who would already have his heart if he didn't have a girlfriend. "Yes. I guess it must have been me all this time." She looked over at Joo Ji Hoon and noticed that when she had said that, his eyes had gotten bigger. She was thinking to herself. Is it true. Did what I just say true? Am I really the one who has his heart? Just then another voice came in.
"I'm sorry. I took a little longer than expected."
She lifted her eyes to meet a very familiar face.
Minwoo spoke before anyone could say anything. "This is Im Taebin. My partner. And this," he pointed to Yoon Eun
Hye, "is Joo Ji Hoon's fiance."
"Fiance?"
"Yes, they've been engaged for four years now. They're finally going to tie the knot this year."
Minwoo looked at all three as to why they were all quiet. "Is something wrong?"
