Chapter 2

You're weird in a good way

My mind was full of his words. His voice. His image. I couldn't even listen to the teacher. What does he mean? Why he said those words? I could feel the frustrating inside my mind coming out. I could hear a voice talking to me. But I choose to ignored it. Suddenly, a loud bang on my table woke me up. I looked up and saw my teacher. Omg! I'm so toast.

Miss Miranda: Excuse me. Miss Wu, where did your mind travel?

She smile at me. A evil smile. I'm so toast.

Gui Gui: Ermm.. Not far..

The bell rang. Save by the bell. I sighed. A relief sigh.

Miss Miranda: That's all for today..

She looked at me. With those scary eyes. I gulped.

Miss Miranda: Miss Wu, next time please pay attention in the class.
Gui Gui: I'm sorry...

I quickly packed my books and headed outside.

Danson: Gui Gui!

It's him. The weird guy calling my name.

Danson: What's wrong with you?

He looked at me curiously. Is it me or what? Why everyone is looking at me with that curious face.

Gui Gui: Nothing.. See you during lunch. I'm late for my next class.

I quickly ran. I stepped into my next class which English's class. My eyes was settled on him. He's there. I walked towards to the table.

Gui Gui: Good morning..

I greeted him. But he was back to his usual self again. The quiet person. I raised one of my eyebrows. What's wrong with him? The whole period, he jus keep silent. The moment the bell rang, he walked out from class. I just ignored him due it's lunch time. My favorite time. I fasten my paces towards the cafeteria. I saw Xiao Xun waves at me. I smiled and walked towards to her.

Xiao Xun: Gui Gui, here.
Gui Gui: Hi.
Ah Ben: What's wrong? You looked irritated.

How could he looked through my face? Am I that readable?

Gui Gui: Nothing.

I took a bite of my food and noticed that Danson was looking at me but I choose to ignored.

Xiao Xun: Ah Ben, she is fine as ever... Gui Gui, do you want to go out this weekend? I and Yung Tu are planning to go shopping.
Gui Gui: I...

I wanted to reject their offer but they insisted that I must follow.

Gui Gui: Ermmm... Ok...

I smiled. A small smile. Suddenly, Xiao Xun shouted loudly. I looked at her. Shock.

Xiao Xun: Omg!!! Wang Zi is looking at you again... Look!!

I took a peak and Xiao Xun was right. He was looking at me with that face. That irritating face. What does he wants this time? I stood up and headed out from the cafeteria.

Gui Gui: What's wrong with him?

I stopped. I didn't realize that I walked out from the school compound.

Gui Gui: Where am I?

I kneeled down. I'm so toast. Even at school, I got lost. Now, I'm outside. I don't even regonize this road. My tears started stinging my eyes. Can my day gets any worse? Suddenly, I felt a cold touch on my shoulder. That familiar cold feeling. I looked up and saw him.

Gui Gui: Wang Zi?

My voice was low but it's enough for a normal human to hear.

Wang Zi: Are you alright?
Gui Gui: No! No, I'm not. Why you're even here?
Wang Zi: I'm sorry.

I was shocked. Did he apologize? I didn't know what to reply. I just kept silent.

Wang Zi: Why you're not talking?

I looked at me blankly.

Gui Gui: I..

I took a step backwards. I almost tripped but he caught me in time. My eyes was locked into his mesmerizing eyes. His gazes are mesmerizing. I gulped.

Wang Zi: Are you alright?

He looked at me curiously.

Gui Gui: Why you're looking at me like this?

He kept silent.

Gui Gui: Sorry..

I mumbled.

Wang Zi: Why did you apologize?

He smiled.

Gui Gui: Because.. Because..

I couldn't say a word. My whole mind was blank.

Wang Zi: Gui Gui?

I was shocked. He called my name.

Gui Gui: You called my name?
Wang Zi: Yes? That's your name.

He looked at me curiously. I smiled.

Gui Gui: You're weird.
Wang Zi: Huhh?
Gui Gui: You're weird in a good way.

I smiled again.

Wang Zi: Maybe a reconsiderance will help you.
Gui Gui: What?

I raised one of eyebrows. What does he mean by that?

Wang Zi: Nothing. I think we better headed back to school.
Gui Gui: omg! My class starts in 10 minutes.

I quickly ran. Suddenly, I realize that I didn't know the way. I stopped and turned looking at him.

Gui Gui: Could you lead the way? I'm kind of lost.

I smiled. I could hear his chuckled.
