A week passed, and Six gathered a working knowledge of this person ‘J’ and who he was supposed to be to her. Still, the stories were all second hand, from what the guys said she had told them. Some of the stories, she vaguely remembered, but most of them were as new to her as her loss of memory.
Many times, Yunho and Changmin debated whether or not they should give the Journal to Six. It was in Yunho’s possession, now worn at the back from constantly being studied, and Changmin was violently for giving it to Six. Yunho, however, disagreed.
“She’s better without it,” he told Changmin, quietly. “It’s best she forgets about J and lives a new life.”
And to him, it was true. Because with Six infatuated with J, she had ties to the Dats. Those ties were strong – perhaps even stronger than the combined friendship of four men. Perhaps it would be ethical – humane, even – to return to journal to Six, but Yunho was uncomfortable with it. If Hero waltzed in to their hideout, J in tow, who was to say she wouldn’t choose Dat over Roog’s. Old loves over new friends? Who was to say that, if J were to tell her that her new friends were laying to her, she wouldn’t believe him?
