there?!" Mrs. Lee's voice bellowed down to the den from
the first floor. Onew and Taemin's eyes widened and
they quickly turned off the wii and the pinball machine,
and whispered to everyone to sit down on the couch. They
all sat down quietly wondering what was going on.
Onew flipped on the t.v. to the discovery channel,
where hippos were making a lot of noise. They heard
Mrs. Lee's heels clack as she descended down the steps.
"I thought I told you two not to--" She started to say,
but saw that they had company. "Oh, hello." She said to
the group surprised. THey all stood up from the couch
and bowed to her. "We were just watching this and
the hippos were being loud." Taemin said to his mom.
"Oh? I could've sworn you were all playing around when you
should be doing your homework." She said. "No."
Onew said. "Well, it's nice that your watching something
educational, but could you all please go upstairs and
finish your homework first?" She asked them.
They all nodded, and she climbed back up the stairs to the
first floor. "What was that? Does your mom get really
mad if you guys are not doing something educational?"
Jiyeon asked them. "Well..." Onew said. "Yeah." Taemin
finished. "Wow. Well, I guess we should all go
up and do our homework then." SooRi said. Minho
nodded. "I guess so." HyoSoo and Jonghyun said with
a sigh. They all climbed back up the stairs, and went to
the first floors study room. They all sat at a long table,
doing their homework of different subjects.
"Pluma. Lapiz. Escritorio..." HyoSoo said out loud,
as SooMi showed her index cards with the words in
english and she had to translate them into spanish.
"Log2x=3. How do you solve it?" Yunni asked Taemin for
help. "You have to put it into exponential form." He
replied. "Oh, right." Yunni said and erased her work
and started over on the problem. "Who is Pearl?" Jiyeon
asked Onew, as she read from a list of study questions.
"She's the daughter of Hester Prynne." He said.
"Good. Okay next question." She said and scanned the paper
for the next question. "The 19th amendment served
what purpose?" Minho asked SooRi. "Hmm. Gave women
the right to vote,ending the suffrage movement."
She answered. "Good, next question." He said.
"A wave has a frequency of 20Hz and it's speed is 5 m/s
what is it's wavelength?" Jonghyun asked Key as they
worked on physics. "It is..4m." He said. "Good." Jonghyun
said and moved on to the next problem.
Some of the maids came into the study hall and brought
them a tray of assorted fresh baked cookies of
chocolate chip, white chocolate macademia, peanut butter,
and oatmeal cookies. They placed it on the table, along
with a pitcher of milk and a few glass cups. The group
thanked them and they left to go back to work. The group
digged in, munching on the cookies for a snack break,
and drank their milk. Then went back to finishing their
work.
