lunch. She parked her car, and walked through the double
glass door building, as the middle aged woman looked up
smiling at her. "Oh, hello Mrs. Choi." She greeted
her. SooRi gave her a warm smile back, bowing.
The assistant let her up to the third floor, without
question. SooRi took the elevator, then walked over to
the door of Minho's office. She knocked on the door
lightly, and went inside, to see a young woman seated
at the front of Minho's desk, as he sat behind it,
and they were both talking in a serious manner.
Nicole turned around, and Minho looked up, and gave
SooRi a warm smile. Nicole smiled politely as well.
SooRi bowed. "Oh, I'm sorry to interrupt.. I just brought
your lunch, yobu." SooRi said to Minho. He smiled,
nodding. "Oh, you're Minho's wife! Hi. I'm Nicole!"
Nicole said brightly and got up from her seat, shaking
her hand. SooRi smiled back at her. "I'm SooRi." She
introduced herself as well. Nicole sat back down.
"Uh, can you excuse us for a minute?" He asked Nicole.
She nodded and Minho went around his desk and he and
SooRi talked outside of the office. "Thanks for
bringing me lunch." He told her, kissing her on the
cheek. SooRi nodded. "So, you're working on your
ex-girlfriend's case?" She asked him. He nodded.
"Yeah. We're not really supposed to talk about the
case, but her boyfriend was framed for something."
He explained. SooRi nodded. "Hmm. Okay. Enjoy your
lunch." She said. Minho nodded, but then said.
"Wait. I haven't spent time with you and the baby
in awhile. I can reschedule her appointment." He told
her. SooRi started to protest. "Minho ah, you don't
have to." She said, but she watched him as he opened
the door to his office, calling inside. "Nicole can
we reschedule your appointment?" He asked her.
She nodded and left his office, bowing to SooRi. Then
Minho took the lunch SooRi made and they sat outside
of the office where there were benches and they sat under
the shade of the willow tree. "I hope you're not working
too hard." SooRi said to Minho as he ate. He offered
her some, but she said it wasn't very good for the
baby. "I'm not. Or maybe I am. I just want to provide
well for you and the baby." He said. SooRi smiled.
"I know. Just don't overwork yourself." She said.
He smiled and finished the lunch of kimbap and rice,
then draped his arm over her shoulder, like when they
were young, as they just sat in silence for awhile,
listening to the wind, and the birds chirping.
