Dum, Dum, Dum, Dum, Dum, Da Dum.." Jiyeon hummed the bridal
march song, excited for Taemin and Yunni's wedding as she
brought YeonKi and JiJin with her to the supermarket.
Her kids were heliping her put things into the shopping
cart. She pulled something out of the shopping cart.
"Donut holes? No No No. You kids are going to be bouncing
off the walls." She said, shaking her head, and putting
it back in the shelf. "Aww" YeonKi and JiJin pouted.
Jiyeon sighed. "Aigoo. You're just like your Appa when
he used to do that." She said, remembering. "Appa used to
be cute like us?" JiJin said cutely, as she and her
brother had their arms around each others shoulders,
a twin closeness. Jiyeon laughed. "Deh. You have no
idea." She said, reminiscing. The twins wondered what
had gotten into their omma, but shrugged and turned around
walking across the aisle of the supermarket. Jiyeon
followed after them, pushing the cart, adding carrots,
some salad, apples, and bananas, getting milk, orange
juice, and a carton of eggs. And getting the kids
fruit loops and captain crunch for breakfast, the only
sugar they could really have in the morning. She also
picked up some frozen short ribs in the deli section,
and picked up the galbi marinate as well. Then
looked for the package of uncooked rice. She found it
and thought it was a bit heavy, but tried to lift it
anyway, but then someone came and helped her put it under
her shopping cart. "Oh, Thank you...J-Jaejin oppa?"
She said, surprised. "Jiyeon ah, hey how are you?"
He asked. She was still taken aback. "Oh, well. Married
now. This is YeonKi.." She said, patting her little boy
on the head and holding JiJin's hand. "And this is JiJin,
and a third kid on the way." She said. He smiled nodding.
"Wow. That's great." He said. "Well, it's been a really
long time. How are you?" She asked him. "I'm doing
good. Just wanted to visit my hometown again. I moved
to Japan a couple years ago." He told her. She nodded.
"Oh. That's great." She said. He nodded. "Omma, YeonKi
has to go to the bathroom." JiJIn said, pulling on Jiyeon's
sleeve. Jiyeon smiled at JaeJin, excusing herself.
"It was nice seeing you again." She said, then hurried down
the aisle with YeonKi and JiJin in two, as they went to
the bathroom. "Omma, who was that/" JiJin asked while
they went into the bathroom. "Oh, just an old friend."
Jiyeon said. Her kids wouldn't understand right now if
she explained who JaeJin really was. Her first love,
they dated from 7th to 8th grade, broke up before
highschool, never heard from him again, yeah that wouldn't
go through too well. She helped YeonKi go to the bathroom
in the women's, while JiJin waited outside the stall,
humming to herself. Jiyeon could recognize the tune.
It was her Appa's duet with Lee HyunJi. Jiyeon smiled
hearing it. "FInished?" She asked YeonKi who bobbed his
head up and down. Then he got up from the toilet, and
she helped him clean up and flush. Then they went out
of the stall and over to the sink to wash their hands.
By this time JiJin was starting to sing. "Cause I love
you, Cause I need you, Cause I love you, Cause I need
you.." She sang with her cute young voice, clear and
true. Jiyeon smiled at her little girl. "Wah. That's
very nice JiJin." She told her. And JiJin swung her legs
back and forth happily as she sat on the diaper changing
station. "Hmm, we better give you both a bath." Jiyeon
thought as she put JiJin down on the ground, and the
three left the bathroom, as she got her cart from where
she left it outside of the restroom. There was no sign
of JaeJin anywhere. She shrugged then paid for their
groceries and walked out to the car, and put their
groceries in their SUV and drove back home to give the
kids their bath.
