Onew's side of the bed was already made. She slowly
sat up, and found a note on her nightstand. She picked
it up, reading it.
Yobu,
I have an early shift at the hospital. Take care of
yourself and give the kids a hug for me. I'll be back
by six. Love you. -Onew
Jiyeon smiled and got up from bed, stretching and
took a quick shower, then changed into outside clothes,
tying her hair back in a ponytail. She then went to
get YeonKi and JiJin ready for preschool. "JiJin ah,
YeonKi ah, irona. (wakeup)" She called to them as she
passed their rooms. She heard them both groan.
"Oh, omma, it's too early!" They both complained.
Jiyeon chuckled a little. "Mwoh? It's 8:15 your class
is at 9:00. Bballi. (quickly)" She told them.
They groaned again and trudged into the kitchen, sitting
on the stools. Jiyeon smiled at her two sleepy kids,
handing them their bowls and spoons. "I want captain
crunch." YeonKi said. "I want fruit loops." JiJin said,
swinging her legs beneath her. Jiyeon poured cereal
into their bowls and added some milk, then the kids
started to eat. After they finished, Jiyeon led them
back to their rooms to change. Jiyeon helped JiJIn,
since YeonKi was two minutes older and he said he
could do it himself. After Jiyeon helped JiJIn change
into her overalls, they went to see how YeonKi was
doing. Jiyeon smiled down at her son. He had his
sweater on backwards and it was inside out. "Here."
she said, helping him put it on properly. "Oh. thanks
omma." He said. She smiled then the three of them walked
back into the kitchen. She got two brown paper bags,
and put in an apple, a pudding cup, and peanut butter
sandwhiches for each of them, and a juicebox. Then
she handed them their lunches and put their backpacks
on them, then they went to the garage. Their cockerspaniel,
started barking, happy to see them. The kids wanted to
stop and pet the dog, but they were running late.
"Ani. Come on. Get in the car, or we'll be late." Jiyeon
told them firmly. "Aww." They said but climbed into their
SUV. She quickly pat the dog on it's head and it barked
at her happily and she smiled. "Bye." She said then
got into the drivers seat. "Seatbelts?" She asked her
kids. "Check" They said as they sat in the second row.
"OKay. Say bye to Sarang now." She said with a smile.
"Bye Sarang!" The two kids called to their dog and it
barked happily. Jiyeon wondered how the kids picked
the dog's name to be love in korean. "It must mean
something." She pondered, then pressed the button on
the front visor of the car, to open the garage then they
backed out of the garage, and she drove them to school.
"The diagnosis states that he has no sign of
any abnormalities. We've done an X-ray and a CT scan.
Yet he is having trouble breathing, and he tends to
have hallucinations about something crawling on him."
Onew told the rest of his medical team, as they listened
and stated their opinions. "Ms. Min?" He addressed.
"It could be psytoclygophasia." She said. He nodded.
But then someone else interjected. "Mr. Kwon?" He
addressed his other collague. "Psytoclygophasia does
have difficutly of breathing, but it doesn't
explain the hallucinations." He added. "Good. Now,
you're both on the right track. I would have to
say that the patient has psytoclygophasia and as for
the hallucinations it is most likely a neurotical problem.
Start off by giving him 2mg of Dymophamine." Onew said
and the rest of them nodded, and got up to go to work.
Onew erased the white board, then left the conference
room. Mrs. Baek, the middle aged woman at the front
desk, bowed greeting him. "Good morning Mr. Lee." She
said. Onew bowed back politely. "Morning Mrs. Baek,
how are your grandkids?" He asked her. "Fine Thank you."
She said. He nodded and continued walking down the hallway,
when he received a page on his beeper. "Dr.Lee we have
an emergency in the ICU." He was paged. He quickly walked
down the long stretch of hallway, going into the ICU, to
see a young man, probably not much older than he was,
on a stretcher, with a lot of blood. "What happene?"
Onew asked. "He was beaten up badly, and shot, in the
left side. We have to do emergency surgery and removal of
the bullet." A nurse told him. Onew nodded and he washed
his hands, and put on his glovces and his mask and the
proper green surgery gown, then went to work, with two
other doctors and two nurses around him, handing him the
proper instruments. "Scalpel." He said, and someone handed
him a scalpel. "Tweezers." He said, And someone handed
him tweezers. He and the others worked fast to take out
the bullet. Luckily it was not embedded into a critical
organ, and barely missed the liver. He then stitched up the
wound swiftly, and they cleaned the young man up well,
getting rid off all the blood that he had. Then Onew
washed his hands, and removed his face mask and took off
the surgical gown. "Dr. Lee his girlfriend just arrived.
Do you want me to go tell her he's okay?" One of his
assistants asked. "I'll do it. Thanks." He said. And
his assistant nodded. Onew left the ICU room, and walked
around the corner of the hospital and saw a young woman
waiting there, worried as she sat at a long bench,
beside the vending machine. He walked forward and then
stopped when he was a few feet in front of her. When
she looked up his eyes widened in surprise, recognizing
her. She looked surprised as well. "Yoona?" He said.
"Oppa." She said, in shock as well.
