Walking down the street, chewing her gum, Tavia spotted a large crowd of people which had gathered in front of a building. Spitting her gum out onto the ground, she decided to see what the commotion was about. Standing in the back of the group, she managed to see it was some sort of advertisement or sign.

"Hey, you." The guy next to her turned and pointed to himself. "Yeah, you. What's everyone looking at?" asked Tavia.

"The Hong Kong police is recruiting young individuals to join the police force. They're looking for young males and females from ages eighteen to twenty-four. They will have to go through training and if they succeed, then-" he stopped when Tavia put a hand up.

"Ok, enough. Not interested, thank you very much." However something sparked her interest, stepping into the crowd, she strained to hear the conversation between the two individuals who were leaving the building. She recognized the man as well known crime investigator, Eddie Kwan. As
for the woman beside him, Tavia didn't know who she was but could tell right off that she obviously adored him.

"I really have to hand it to you Eddie. You busted Fat Cobra's redhanded with those club pills. Looks like the triads will have an uproar about this, I heard that he owed many leaders quite a large sum of money. So are we going to investigate the case about triad member, Bosco Wong next? I heard that the heads wants to look into that after so many years because they suspect that it has to do with somebody on the inside," said Maggie, walking down the steps.

"What did I tell you about talking about the cases in public?" warned Eddie. "That's why they're marked confidential on the folder remember? Don't be foolish, all members of the police are honorable people and wouldn't do such a thing," he concluded.

Maggie nodded in agreement. "Well, that's true. So, the new recruits will be joining your team or Deric's won't they?" she asked, changing the topic.

"Yeah," Eddie looked at his watch, "I have to go meet Angie, I'll see you later."

"Bye," replied Maggie as he watched him hurry away. With a sigh, she turned to go in the opposite direction to catch a taxi. Just then, a male bumped into her.

"Sorry," the man apologized, who cast his glance onto the ground.

"It's ok," she replied with a smile. Little did she know that the man had reached into her handbag and stolen her wallet.

However, Tavia had witnessed the whole thing, but then it's not like she cared. As she turned back to read the notice posted on the police station wall, she suddenly came up with an idea. Rotating 360 degrees, she pointed at the man. "Hey you! Come back here!"

The man, realizing she was talking to him, bolted, running down the street.

"He stole your wallet, stand there," instructed Tavia before chasing after the man. Maggie just stared back, clueless as to what was happening.

Raymond Lam stood next to a bright red convertible, copying down the woman's license plate number. "Here." He handed the ticket to the woman. "Next time, don't park here...on the sidewalk. I know it's hard to find a parking spot here but it's illegal to park on the sidewalk, people need to walk through."

"But you're such a wonderful person officer! You never gave me a ticket before!" complained the middle aged woman.

"Fong Yee, in the past month, I have caught you, double parking, triple parking, speeding through a red light, and now parking on the sidewalk. I let you go three times already because I know you. So I think it's reasonable that I give you one now," reasoned Raymond.

"You don't get discounts at my fish market anymore!" she snapped, snatching the ticket from his hand.

As he turned around, he saw a man running madly down the street with a girl chasing after him. "Stop! Theif!" she was yelling.

"Stop! Police!" announced Raymond, showing his badge.

However, the theif shoved him out of the way and jumped a railing, running across the busy intersection. Jumping over the police officer, Tavia continued to chase the theif. Raymond got up, putting his hat back on, with one hand holding it and the other hand pointing at them, he ran after the two of them. Picking up a large garbage bag, Tavia threw it at the robber, knocking him in the head. Despite this, he kept on running. Observing his direction, Tavia quickly ran into an alleyway. Dodging muddy puddles, garbage, and dripping pipes, she made it to the other side, intersecting the theif.

"Give me the wallet back," she demanded, stretching out her hand.

The theif tried to run back the other way, only to find Raymond who finally caught up with them. Standing there with hands on his knees, gulping in deep breaths, Raymond held up his badge. "Police. Give the lady back her wallet."

Looking back to Tavia, the theif smirked. Flapping his arms and legs, he assumed a martial arts stance. "Don't come near me! I know kung fu!"

Rolling her eyes, Tavia walked up to him while he still waved around. Grabbing one of his arms which were in the air, she kicked him in the back and twisted his arm around. Holding him in a lock, she shoved him face first into the wall. "Where's the wallet?" she demanded.

"It's, it's in my pocket."

Looking down, Tavia sighed impatiently and looked over to Raymond. "You, policeman."

Ray pointed to himself, "Me?"

"Yeah you. Get the wallet out of his pocket, I'm not reaching in there."

Doing as he was intructed, Ray handed it to Tavia, "Here."

"Thanks," replied Tavia, placing it into her own pocket.

"That was really good, I never saw anyone who could chase after a robber so fast," complimented Raymond. "You should join the police force, they're recruiting people! You can definately help out." He stopped when he noticed Tavia wasn't replying. "What?"

"Aren't you going to handcuff him?" she asked.

"I only hand out parking tickets, I don't have any handcuffs."

With an impatient sigh, she hit the robber on the neck, knocking him unconcious. "Here," she threw him at Raymond. With that, she began walking down the street.

"Hey! Am I supposed to carry him all the way back to the police station myself?" yelled Raymond after her. However, she was too far away to hear him.

"Here's your wallet." Tavia gave it back to Maggie.

"Oh! Thank you!" Maggie said with an appreciative tone.

"No problem."

As Tavia walked away, Maggie looked at her wallet and smiled. If there were more people like that girl in the world, it would definately be a better place. She would make a good police officer, she thought to herself.

**AT THE POLICE STATION**
"Well, what do we have here? If it isn't petty theif Edison Chen," asked the police officer in an amused tone.

"He was caught stealing police officer Maggie Siu's wallet," announced Raymond.

"What happened? All your girlfriends finally figured out about each other and took all your money?" asked the officer. "Each time you're arrested, a different one bails you out. Who will it be this time? Gillian, Charlene, Bobo, or Ah Yu?"

"What's going on? He's the guy that stole my wallet before!"

The officer and Raymond turned to see Maggie enter. "Madam."

"Did you arrest him?" she asked Raymond, pointing to Edison.

"Actually, this girl helped me," he replied honestly.

"Was it a girl with dyed hair?" Raymond nodded. "Ok, put him into a cell," she ordered.

"Yes Maam!"

**LATER THAT NIGHT-8 PM at WONG MANSION**
"You're going to WHAT?" exclaimed Damien in disbelief standing up from the sofa, his voice echoing through the large house.

"I'm going to join the police," repeated Tavia in a serious tone.

"I know you want to find out about Bosco's death but we're black and they're white! What will I say to the others when they find out? Besides, what makes you think that they'll let you join?"

"Today I helped a police officer get her wallet back. I think she'll be one of the people who will take part in selecting the new recruits. Since I helped her, she'll have a postive image of me," she explained.

Shaking his head, Damien slumped back into the couch. Taking off his glasses and rubbing his eyes, he said in a tired voice, "Can't you let it go? It's been three years already."

"What is that supposed to mean?" demanded Tavia. "He's your son! I don't understand how you can act as if nothing happened!"

Storming out of the house, she slammed the door behind her. With a defeated look on his face, Damien shook his head once again.

**AT THE GRAVEYARD**
Planting a bouquet of flowers into the ground, Tavia kneeled in front of the gray tombstone which stood in a large grassy area, away from the other ones. Damien had wanted a large funeral service and graveyard for his son to rest eternally. A tiny smile appeared as she ran her finger across the picture in the middle of it. A few tears dripped from her eyes.

"I said that I'll find out who killed you. I'm keeping that promise. Tomorrow I'm going to join the police. Sounds crazy right? Well I overheard that they're going to investigate what happened. So I thought that maybe I can find out that way. Your father doesn't like the idea but a promise is a promise."

What did you expect after the first short, pretty good chapter? I don't know but then it came out to be a longer, crappy chapter. It's not that bad but worse than the first chapter...ugh, it's my "regular" writing. I kinda forced myself to update this cause I made a new poster lol. I happen to like the poster tons more than this chapter... ;(
I added people to the cast once again, so I changed the forewords a little...ok, alot. There's around three new characters.
