Chapter 2
‘ “Myo there’s a gun underneath the dresser, go get it for me.” he whispered to her, Myolie carefully crawl over to their dresser and grab the gun. She crawls back to him and give it to him. “Ok stay here and be alert for them ok?” he whispered, and she gave a nod and a kiss on the lip, “I’ll be ok, and don’t forget your fiancé is an ex-cop. Promise me that you’ll be ok?” she whispered, “I promise I’ll be alright, don’t forget your fiancé is a special agent.” He told her. “It’s not the time to play around Ray.” She warned him. The both of them hug before Ray silently left their room and headed towards the intruders. Myolie stood against the bedroom door with her gun and waited for Ray to return, a little bit later Myolie heard a gun shot, she then exit her room and silently followed the gun shot once she got there…. “RAY?? RAYMOND!!!!!!!!” ‘
Myolie woke up from her dream, the same dream that had haunted her for the past year. Myolie glanced at the clock on the wall to notice that its 6 in the morning. She got up from the bed and walks over to the closet and grabs some fresh clothes. When she opens the closet she spotted her wedding dress and Ray’s tux, the outfits that they were supposed to wear for their wedding. She carefully touches it before grabbing a pair of faded blue jeans and a yellow tee.
She got done changing and walked downstairs; she glanced at the house one last time before exiting. The drive back to the city was quiet until her cell phone rings, Myolie glanced at it before answering it, “Hello, Maggie calm down, I’m ok, I fell asleep and forgot about the time that’s all, yes I’ll make sure to grab some breakfast before going to the shop. Love you too.”

Myolie walk towards her and Maggie flower shop, she had open this shop about six months ago, something for her to do to pass time. She entered her shop to see Maggie helping out a customer, she nod her head at her sister before going to the back to put her stuff away.
“Knowing you, you didn’t buy breakfast, luckily Maggie called me before hand.” Her best friend and also Ray little sister Bernice said, “Thanks B.” she reply, “Been visiting him again huh?” Bernice asked her, “Yea.” She answered, Bernice sighed before patting her on the back, “Let’s get back to work before we get a lecture from Maggie.” She said, Myolie gave out a small chuckle before putting on her apron and followed Bernice outside.
Throughout the day, Myolie would focus on watering the flowers and helping out the customers, doing this will help her mind at ease, not thinking about Ray so much. But when it’s time for her to leave, her mind would go back to thinking about him again. Looking at her watch, she notices that it was time again, she walked over to Maggie and told her she’s leaving, Maggie didn’t have to ask where she is going, she already knows.
Myolie always leave at this time of day. Like everyday, she would buy fruits and drive up to the hospital to visit Ray, but today was special because it was their 2 years anniversary. She went home first to change into something nice before driving up towards the hospital.
She enters into his room and walks toward him, she wipes his face and sat down on the chair holding his hands, “Hey, I’m back, guess what today is? It’s our two year anniversary. Honey I just want you know that I won’t give up on you, I will wait a lifetime for you to wake up again.” She whispered, she then started to sing to him, he had always loved her singing.
“Baby I will wait for you
Because I don't know what else I can do
Don't tell me I ran out of time

She gently put her head on his chest and closed her eyes. She stay like that until his nurse woke her up, Myolie nodded she turned to face him, before leaning to kiss him and she whispered, “Good Bye my love, I’ll be back tomorrow.”

Walking toward the beach, Myolie glanced around and toy with her charm bracelet. ‘This is a bracelet, for every month that we are together I will buy a charm and add to it.’ She remembered him said. She looks at her bracelet and noticed that there are only 12 charms. She aimlessly walked around the beach until she spotted their tree.

Flashback
“I can’t believe I let you persuade me to do this, coming out the beach at 5:55 am in the morning, Raymond Lam what do you have in mind?” she asked him suspiciously, “You’ll see.” He answered as he drags her across the beach towards a big tree. “Ok what now?” she asked, “Sit down and close your eyes.” He demanded, “Alright.” She answered, she did as told, after a few minutes later Ray told her to open her eyes, and when she did, the scene before her was beautiful, the sun was rising, “Ray its beautiful.” She said as she laid her head on his chest while he’s leaning against the tree. The two of them laid there and stare out to the sea, “I love you Myo.” He said, “I love you too Ray.” She answered. He smiled and kisses her on the forehead. They laid there for awhile before he carefully lift her head and sat up, he took out a knife and started to carved something onto the tree, Myolie just sat there and stare at him, when he was finished he told her to look at it, she obliged once she got done reading it, she started to smile and kiss him. “I now pronounce this tree as our tree.” He exclaimed. The both of them laugh before hugging each other.
End of Flashback

She traced her fingers over the words, ‘Raymond Lam will always and forever love Myolie Wu’. She leaned against the tree and look out at the sea, even though its dark, the sea still holds it exquisiteness. After seating there for a few minutes she got up and continues down the beach.
While walking she stumbled over a seashell, she bent down to pick it up. “Didn’t you say that if I put the seashell against my ear I can hear the ocean?” he asked. Myolie turned around and there he was standing in front of her, she ran towards him and hugs him, “Ray it this really you?” she asked, “Silly don’t cry, it hurts my heart when you cry like this.” He soothingly told her, “Ray I miss you so much, please don’t leave me.” she cried, “Hey don’t worry I won’t ever leave you, I always be here.” He said as he pointed to her heart, “I love you Myo.” Then slowly he disappeared, “Ray!” she screamed, “it was all an illusion,” she whispered, she fell down to the ground and hugs her knees and started to cried.
A hand laid on her shoulder causing her to look up, “Hey,” she whispered, “Myolie don’t be like this, I don’t think Ray will be happy to see you like this.” He said as he sat down beside her, “Ron you know how I feel, you been through this before.” She told him, “Listen when Leila passed away, I was devastated, but I learned to move on, Ray is still alive, I know its hurting you that his conditions hasn’t change but believe in yourself and him, he WILL wake up, and when he do, you can guys have as many Rayolies running around. And I can finally get to be Uncle.” He said, “Rayolie? Where did you get that name from?” she asked him, “Hahaha I got it from lover boy himself.” Ron said, “Ray is so childish sometimes.” She said, “No he’s just in love.” Ron chuckled. “Thanks Ron, you’re the best guy friend a girl can have.” She said, “Just take care of your self ok?” he said. Myolie just sat back and nod.
They sat back and enjoyed the fresh air and the sound of the waves.
