He was so certain that the most horrible of all his horrors came. Like a broken reel of a movie constantly bugging his mind, he can’t just seem to absorb even the slightest sense of what Barbie told her in the party.
“I’m in love with Alan Luo..”
He gave out a deep sigh and stared blankly at the bedroom wall..and then it repeated again..
“I’m in love with Alan Luo..” He shook his head slowly as if trying to stop the continuous playing of her hurtful statement.
Judging from his appearance today, he looked like he didn’t get any sleep for a decade or more! His eye bags could have won the “Best in Eye Bags Award” if there’s a competition for such things. Jerry might be right when he said that he had gone crazy. For god’s sake the man looked like he was stoned! His desperation to win Barbie back rose up to his veins or even internal organs as he was trying to think of possible ways to get rid of his rival...that JERK! He took his celphone and browsed through the contacts list to find someone who can back him up with in this dilemma
Xu MaMa
But wouldn’t he look like a fool if he calls her and beg for her help? He was the one who screwed up her relationship with Barbie. There’s no one to be blamed here but him and calling her won’t guarantee his success in this situation.
“Arrrggh..To hell with my pride!..” He muttered as he pressed the call button before his mind tells him to do otherwise
“Uhhmmm....Hello? Xu Ma..it’s ZaiZai..”
“Oh..son..it’s been long time..” The woman answered sweetly
“Ma..Can I invite you to lunch?..”
“Today?..Is there something wrong?..” She inquired.
Barbie’s mother had always treated him like his own son and when he broke up with Barbie, she didn’t even condemned him for the hurt he caused and that surely made him even more regretful and guilty nonetheless.
“Ma..Even if the world splits into three.. You have to help me with this..”

“ I heard you made his blood boil at the party..” Dee asked casually with an amused smile
Alan took a sip from his orange juice and smiled. “I didn’t even do anything..I just stood there and smile at her. Vic really misunderstood us..”
Dee grinned feeling a little bit of wickedness. “You tortured him big time..”
“But at least now..I’m 100% sure he still loves my sister..Sooner or later he will woo her again..Don’t you think we should abandon the plan already?”
“This early?..” Alan didn’t expect she would back off immediately
“Before the damage expands?..” She asked quizzically
“Dee..?” He looked at her seriously straight in her eyes
She gave her a questioning stare as she asked “What is it?..” Dee didn’t know why but she had a perception it was trouble in the making
“What if I tell you that I’m starting to like her?”
Dee slapped her forehead before giving him a look of disbelief.
“Holy Bloody Hell..”

“Ma.. I’ve ordered for you..” Vic greeted her as he assisted the woman towards her seat
“Son..you look..stressed?..”She emphasized the word “stressed” ever so comically that Vic had to chuckle his famous boyish grin. The woman didn’t know the exact word that would perfectly describe Vic’s aura today.
“Ma.. I called you up because I need your help...and support..”
Xu MaMa let out a knowing smile as she saw Vic’s pleading or rather begging look. The lunch meeting sure had a hidden agenda after all.
“I don’t know how to say this but I just...actually Ma I’m not sure if you will help me and I will fully understand if you will refuse my request and Ma..I really love your daughter and...” He sighed as he bowed his head down.
“And you’re asking for my help because you want her back in your life..Am I right?” She finished his statement for him
Vic smiled and nodded vigorously like a despairing fool in love.
“Then I guess this will help you alot..” Xu MaMa reached for her bag and produced a pink glittery notebook with Barbie’s name printed on it. She handed it to Vic and smiled
“What’s this?” He opened the notebook and read
“My Silliest Wishes of Love”
Vic looked up and hugged her tightly as he whispered
“Xu Ma promise I won’t let go this time”
