Theme # 17 – Sending You a Message From Heaven
The cool breezy wind blew softly while a couple on a high hill watched the city below them. Sakura petals fluttered and swayed to and fro, surrounding them with its sweet scent.
A single tear rolled down his soft cheek, glistening in the orangey reddish sun. He felt a familiar hand wiping it away and he looked down.
“JaeJoong ah…”
His lips tugged into a small sad smile as he bent down and gently brush his lips over his lover’s. After what seemed like forever, he finally pulled back.
“Do you remember the time…when we were little,” Yunho slowly sat up and pulled his knees up to his chest. He closed his eyes and rested his head on JaeJoong’s shoulder. His life…was slowly and painfully draining away from him as he continued to softly whisper in JaeJoong’s ear.
“It was late at night…and we saw a shooting star here?” Yunho let out a chuckle. “I asked you what you wished for…and you said your mommy wouldn’t let you tell what you wished for or it won’t come true…”
“Umm hmmm…” Memories of their childhood past popped back at the end of JaeJoong’s mind. They were so carefree and happy back then. And the memory of their night together on this hill…JaeJoong could remember it vividly.

-Flash Back-
*Ages 10*
Giggles and laughter could be heard in the night’s air from two little boys.
“This is bad Yunnie ah!” Little Joongie shouted through his giggles. “We both got school tomorrow!”
“Shhh! Mommy won’t know if we keep it a secret!”
Yunho turned his head to see if JaeJoong was catching up. “You’re so slow! Common!” He stuck out his tongue and grabbed JaeJoong’s little hand.
JaeJoong just continued to giggle. He felt Yunho tightening his grip. …
“AH!” Yunho plopped down onto the soft grass and closed his eyes.
JaeJoong sat next to Yunho. “Why are we here again?”
Yunho quickly sat up and faced JaeJoong. He leaned in his face close; his breath tickled JaeJoong’s skin. “Look out at the city lights below us,”
JaeJoong did as he was told, and he gasped. It was breath taking. Blue, purple, red, white; each of the different color of lights twinkled and shined below them.
“It’s pretty…” The small feminine boy whispered out.
“Yup!” Yunho propped himself up with his elbows and stared up at the stars. “But…there’s someone else who’s even prettier than those lights and even the stars.”
“Huh? Even prettier than lights and stars? Who could be that pretty?”
Yunho shrugged. “You’ll have to find it out for yourself.”
JaeJoong pouted. “Common!”
“You really want to know?”
“Uh huh!” JaeJoong nodded cutely. “Really want to know!”
“You sure you really really want to know?”
“Yunnie ah!”
Yunho laughed and leaned his forehead to JaeJoong’s. “Here are some hints. He’s very cute; he’s my best friend, when he giggles it’s like soft sweet melodies, however he’s kind of girly looking. Oh and also he kind of walks and talks like a girl.”
JaeJoong just stared at him. “Me?”
“Yup! Wow! My Joongie is so smart!” Yunho hugged JaeJoong tightly.
“I DO NOT WALK AND TALK LIKE A GIRL!”
“Uh huh!”
“Nah ah!”
“Uh huh!”
“Nah ah!”
“Well, not really but you laugh like a little girl!”
“You’re just lying.” JaeJoong harrumphed and crossed his arms across his chest. Just as he looked away he saw a shooting star passed by.
“AH! Shooting star! Make a wish Yunnie! Quick!”
Yunho raised a brow. JaeJoong closed his eyes and clasped his hands together and whispered some words that Yunho didn’t quite understand. He shook his head and closed his eyes.
JaeJoong opened his eyes and smiled happily. “Hehe, all done!”
“So what did you wish for?” Yunho asked.
“Nah ah!” JaeJoong waved his index finger back and forth. “My mommy says if I tell a wish it won’t come true!
Now it was Yunnie’s turn to pout. He gave out a sigh. “Fine, but when it comes true…you better tell me.”
“DEAL!”
…
JaeJoong gave out a painful laugh. Ever since that day he made the wish, everyday he prayed to God that it’ll come true.
“Yunnie ah…” JaeJoong whispered. His voice was full of sadness and regret. “The wish that I made on that day…”
“Yeah?”
“I wished…that we’ll always be together.” He swallowed the lump at his throat. “I guess Fate had other plans huh?”
“We will always be together.”
“What?”
Yunho slowly lifted up his head and looked at JaeJoong. He cupped JaeJoong’s face. “I said we’ll always be together…”
“How?” JaeJoong’s voice cracked.
“I promise and also if there is a way to send you a message from heaven…I will…”
…
*A Year Later – Spring Time*
*JJ’s POV*
My Yunnie died…
And because of that I cried my eyes out for weeks. I stopped smiling. I stopped eating. I even stopped talking to my other friends. Life wasn’t like same it was. And soon I also felt that my life has drained away from me.
It took months, before I finally started to smile again. I’ll need to thank Minnie for that. He finally slapped my senses back.
My tears are long dried now. I mean once in a while, I’ll cry to myself when I go to sleep but I’m doing a lot better. I’ll survive. It still saddens me at how dumb I was to finally realize my feelings for him but then it’s already too late. …
I walked to where Yunnie had carved our name to a Sakura tree. Sometimes, while I’m walking to our old childhood places, I think I’d hear Yunnie’s voice…whispering in my ear that he’s there with me.
I giggled and touched the tree. Our names were carved on it. ‘Joongie + Yunnie = 4 EVER”
As I backed away to get a clearer view at the tree, I gasped. ‘If there’s a way to send you a message from heaven I will…’
I choked back a sob as tears blurred my vision. There at the side of our tree were new sprouting little flowers. I touched the small sprouts and closed my eyes.
‘JaeJoong ah…I love you’
My eyes snapped opened and looked around me but then saw nothing. However, I realized that Sakura blossoms were fluttering around me.

-___- Did this drabble make any sense at all? XD I think I did a terrible job on this. Anyways I think I’m going to die… *Huffs and Puffs* Y_Y Tomorrow we got a 6 minutes test jog for PE. Oh well… XD at least I have more strength to run this year than last year. =] Hehehe, I think the running is fun! -___- Okay enough about PE! XD…I always go off topic… don’t I? Just incase you guys didn't get the last sentence or what so ever, it's the message that Yunho had planted for JJ. I’m planning to re-write it…but if anyone likes it just the way it is… I guess I’ll leave it. XD Sorries! Actually I might re-write it. Oh well... XD
