Theme # 21 – Tears of a Broken Hert IV
‘Something is not right…’ I frowned while continuing to stare out of the window of my bedroom. ‘How can Jae and Yunho hyung be happy for just a moment and then last week…’ I shook my head to clear out my mind. ‘Something is up. Definitely up. I will make sure to find out the truth.’
“Minnie…”
‘But then…why was Donghae with him? What were they talking about?’
“Min…”
‘Not only that but Junki said he was busy to spend time with Jae hyung. Busy with what?’
“CHANGMIN!”
I jumped at the voice and turned my head to look at the person who was sitting next to me. “Yoochun, is there something wrong?”
“You look…pale.”
I blinked. “Is that it?”
“You’ve been acting weird lately.”
I made my lips an ‘o’ and chuckled. “Nothing to worry about. I’ll be fine hyung.” I gave him a smile, reassuring that I was fine. Turning my attention back to the window, I tried to figure out what was going on.
After the incident that had happened to JaeJoong and Yunho hyung, another strange problem came up. It happened a two weeks ago on a freaken Saturday morning. Because I had forgotten my Calculus Gate book, I went back to school during the morning classes just to go get it. Even if I was a straight A+ student, I of course was not a morning person. So waking up 6:30 in the morning on a Saturday was not really one of my favorite hobbies. Especially when the weekends are the days I sleep in ‘til 12 at noon.
Okay anyways…back to the ‘main’ subject.
Like I was saying earlier, I was going to get my Math book. I quickly got my Math book from my locker and was making my way out to the exit doors when I heard a familiar voice that made me stopped dead in my tracks. Yes, it was no other than Lee Junki. It was funny since he wasn’t the type to get his ass up in the morning and go to school on weekends. So first question that popped into my mind was, ‘What the heck is he doing here?’
It took me about a second or two to have realized that it was not only himself alone, but also someone with him. His voice was also familiar, however, I couldn’t quite get my fingers on it.
“Ah Donghae, he is my little toy.”
I frowned. ‘Donghae? Why is he with that jerk ass?’
“Is he as good as -”
*BANG*
“What was that?”
‘DAMN! I JUST HAD TO DROP MY STINKING BOOK!’ Realizing the two men had suddenly stopped talking and footsteps were coming at my way, I cursed myself for getting butterfingers and quickly grabbed my book; hiding behind a small open corner of the lockers.
“Huh? I swear I heard something…”
“Never mind Junki, let’s go somewhere else.”
I slid down the wall of the lockers and wiped off a sweat that dripped down from my forehead. ‘Phew…I thought they were going to find me.’ I massaged my throbbing temples and tried to calm my pounding heart. …
Whatever they were talking about… whatever it is, I HAVE ALREADY KNOWN that Junki is cheating on my hyung. Problem is…I don’t have proof.

“Chunnie, I need your help.”
“You?” He asked uncertainly.
I nodded my head. “Please Chunnie?”
“Are you serious?”
“Yes…”
“Are you sure?”
Okay now this was getting on my nerves. Yes, I rarely asked any help unless if it was about making food. Other than that I had to do things by myself. But then I mean common, it is really a shock that the brain and baby of the group asks for help once in a while?
“Yes Yoochun, I need your help.”
“YOU, as in SHIM CHANGMIN, need MY help?”
“YES YOU! WHO ELSE DO YOU SEE THAT IS HERE?!” I shouted and jabbed my finger hard into his firm chest.
He winced and rubbed at the sore spot. “Okay, seesh, you need my help. Don’t need to get all violence about it.”
I rolled my eyes and grabbed his hand. “I have already told Junsu about the plan.”
“WHOA- Plan? Are we on like a mission or something?”
‘Ignore him…Just ignore the idiot.’ I muttered some curses under my breath and continued to drag him to my room. Sometimes…I even start to wonder how Yoochun was able to pass all his classes from grade ‘til now.

“We appreciate for all of your hard work, Freshmen and Sophomores (AN: Remember, they are in College. Not high school). In return, we teachers have decided to take you guys on a 3-day vacation here at the coast. There is a beach around this area, however do inform us before leaving. Here, we have the lists of roommates. There will be at least either two to three people in each group.”
YES! Vacation! THANK GOD! I thought my brain was going to explode not from schoolwork or homework but from the situation my Yunho hyung was in. Now…thanks to the teachers for allowing ‘us’ students to go to the beach and relax, the rest of the students shall learn how to respect them. Well…including me. But then…I hope Plan A works…or else I’ll have to pay Chunnie 20 bucks. Stupid bully.
“Yunnie hyung, let’s go see what group we’re in.” I grabbed Yunho’s hand and dragged him towards the board; skimming quickly down the list, trying to figure out which group he was in. “YES! I’M WITH CHUNNIE AND JUNNIE!” I shouted and punched the air.
Yunho made a cute pout. “I can’t find my name…”
“Move over,” I gave him a playfully push and skimmed down the list once again. “Hmmm…OH! I see…your name Yunnie ah hyung! Group A Room 3. You are with…”
“I am with…”
“JaeJoong?!”
“Yunho?!”
“YOU?!” Both Yunho and JaeJoong pointed their fingers at each other.
Yunho faced me and grabbed both my arms. “Min, come with me.”
“Huh?”
“Let’s go tell my counselor to change this. So Junsu can be with JaeJoong.” He gently tugged at my sleeve.
“NO!” I pulled back – more like flinched – and shook my head.
“Why?” He pouted.
I looked back at JaeJoong hyung and realized that he was still looking at us. Not to mention there was a weird expression on his face.
“Oh well…because,” I scratched my head trying to think up of an excuse. “OH-well because you see…Junsu and I are like this!” I crossed my fingers tightly and showed him by how close Junnie hyung and I was. “And we’re never like…this!” I then showed him a peace sign, meaning that we were never supposed to be far apart. I can already picture Yoochun rolling his eyes at my childish personality.
“Changmin…” Yunho warned. He pulled my shirt and started dragging me away. “We gotta go change this now.” He hissed.
I pulled away from him once again. “No, I’ve already asked them the day earlier before we left campus anyways. They said they can’t make anymore changes.”
He let go of my shirt and gawked at me in disbelief. “A-are you s-serious?!” Both JaeJoong and Yunho shouted.
I swallowed painfully and nodded my head yes. All of a sudden, Yunho threw his hands up in the air and gave out a loud groan before stomping away angrily. PHEW! That was close…if Yunho was to find out that I was lying and that I set half of the couples together…he’ll have my head. “Okay seesh…calm down…” I mumbled.
I slowly turned around to face JaeJoong. My eyes traveled down to find fists both at his side. Taking a deep breath, I walked up closer to JaeJoong and touched his shoulder. “Hyung ah,”
He blinked a couple of times before giving out a small smile. “Hey Min…”
“Where is Junki?”
I saw his jaw clenched tight. “He…he is paired up with Donghae.”
I nodded. ‘Perfect.’
“Min! Let’s go to our room!”
I quickly gave JaeJoong a hug. “Hyung ah…I missed you.”
“Heh-yeah Min…me too.”
“Okay bye bye!” I let go and jogged my way to where Chunnie and Junnie were.
“Did the plan work?”
“Perfectly. OH! Which reminds me, Chunnie…” I pulled out my hand and wriggled my fingers, making a gesture as in ‘give me’.
Yoochun sighed and pulled out a brand new crisp twenty-dollar bill from his pocket and placed it in my palms.
I giggled and gave him a friendly peck on his cheek. “That’s what you get for not believing that my plan will work.” I whispered. …
*Yunho’s POV*
“Stupid…bastards…” I growled as I threw my bag onto my bed, pulling out some clothes. Damn those retarded teachers. Why the hell did they have to pair JaeJoong and me together as roommates? We’re already roommates at the doom! Isn’t that ENOUGH?! “UGH! Whatever!” I quickly changed into my dark blue jersey from senior year and my black shorts.
After I was done changing, I plopped down onto my bed and closed my eyes. Life…was not getting any better or easier. Why the hell did I agree to come anyways? Damn…calling people stupid…I am stupid myself.
When I heard the door opened, I sat up abruptly. “Oh…it’s you.” Realizing that it was JaeJoong, I lay back down onto the soft mattress. I couldn’t help but stare at him. There was something about him today…his flushed cheeks, his puffy eyes. How he kept on sniffing. I sat up once again. I couldn’t quite see perfectly if he was crying or not because of his long black locks and bangs that covered his face. However, I decided to ask. “Are you crying?”
JaeJoong ignored me and continued to unpack his stuff.
“JaeJoong,”
He sniffed and placed his bag onto the floor.
“If you want to be with Junki that much you can just spit it out.” I know it was harsh of me but oh well. I got up and grabbed my jacket. “I’ll force the teachers so you could be with your man.”
Just as I was about to leave the door, JaeJoong said in a quiet voice, “If it makes you happy, he’s been ignoring me for the past few days.”
