Theme # 22 – Don’t Assume Things
Yunho made a fist under the table as he continues to watch -at the corner of his eyes- the lovey dovey couple next to him. ‘Damn…this is a small café shop for God’s sake! Why the hell are they flirting…here? They should go get a room instead.’
JaeJoong giggled in delight, his eyes shined with full of hope.
It felt as if something had pierced straight into his chest leaving him with a large opened wound. ‘Why can’t he smile like that when he’s talking with me?’
“Are you sure? Cause I mean…”
“Of course, I am sure.” Yoochun gave JaeJoong a warm smile and placed his hand on top of JaeJoong’s. “Trust me.”
JaeJoong took a deep breath and nodded his head. “Thank you Chunnie!” He gave the younger man a quick kiss on the cheek. It was a sweet friendly kiss on the cheek, however to the other man it was meant more than just a friendly kiss on the cheek.
Yunho stood up abruptly, making his chair falling backwards onto the floor with a loud thud. Startled by the loud noise, JaeJoong and Yoochun turned their heads.
Yoochun rushed over to his best friend. “Yunho hyung? Is there something wrong?”
“Why…of course not.” Yunho answered while staring straight ahead. He turned to look at Yoochun then down at JaeJoong and back up at Yoochun once more.
‘Something…is wrong…’ JaeJoong thought. He noticed how Yunho was making fists both at his sides and how his jaw was clenched tightly. “Yunho is-”
“Leave me alone,” Yunho snapped. He placed a few extra changes on the counter. “Keep the change Chun,” He muttered aloud as he walked pass the two and walked out the door.

Yunho quickly turned at the corner of the small bridge and stopped running, trying to catch his breath. It was painful. Painful to see how ‘his’ angel got perfectly well with his best friend. But when they were together…it was as if a hurricane just had gone by.
A sight he must be. Flushed cheeks, red eyes, messy hair…
“AH!”
Yunho jumped at the sudden voice. He looked up and was surprise to find ‘his’ beautiful creature looking down at him.
“What are you doing here?” He asked while placing his hand on his chest, trying to calm its beating rate.
JaeJoong held up a hand. “Hold…” He wheezed and coughed.
Yunho raised a brow. “Are you okay?”
In reply JaeJoong huffed and wheezed some more. After a few minutes of coughing, JaeJoong got his breathing back to normal. “Aish…I haven’t ran in while…”
“May I ask again, what are you doing here? And also…why were you running?”
“I was looking for you jerk.” JaeJoong sat down beside Yunho and sighed. “Yoochunnie said that you’re the type of person to get hotheaded easily.”
Yunho gave out a series of curses before looking away. “What does he know…”
JaeJoong shrugged. “A few stuff here and there. And stuff that is quite helpful and interesting for me to know.”
The taller man rolled his eyes. “Whatever…leave me alone.”
“Oh…so I guess you wouldn’t want to know why I wasted my time running my ass off trying to look for you.” JaeJoong gave out a fake sigh and shook his head. “Never mind then. I get the idea-”
“No wait,” Yunho grabbed JaeJoong’s wrist. “Tell me…”
The feminine boy gave out a giggle. “You sure you want to know?”
Yunho nodded.
“I asked Chunnie if he knew you were single or not. Yes it is amazing that the clumsy nerd that you always tease falls in love with a heartless jerk like you.” JaeJoong giggled some more before continuing. “Heh…funny that I should be the one getting jealous. Not the other way around.”
“You…you and Yoochun…are not an item?”
JaeJoong raised a brow. “Whoever told you that Chunnie and I were a couple?”
Yunho gulped. “Um…well…I kind of…assumed you two were. Since well…um…you two were somewhat sweet talking. All giggling and smiling and stuff…”
“OH!” JaeJoong stood up and threw his hands up in the air. “Why of course we are! If we were an item would I be here chasing after you in the first place? Not only that but will I tell you why I wanted to be here?” The pretty boy said sarcastically. “Seesh, I thought you were smart Yunnie. Of course Chunnie and I are not a couple. We’re only friends.”
Yunho made a cute lovable pout. “You’re such a bully.”
JaeJoong placed his hands on his hips and stared at the taller man. “Me? Me a bully? I should be calling YOU, the bully! I don’t go around and call people Little Monsters.”
“Actually, I call you that because you look cute when you’re mad.” Yunho pointed out while also getting up to stand next to JaeJoong.
“It is not cute! Or funny! How would you feel if I called you GIANT!”
Yunho shrugged. “I’d care less… Little Monster.”
Even though JaeJoong knew Yunho was only teasing him with that nickname, a spark of mischief came across in the back of his mind. It was his turn and it was the right time to achieve his revenge. “Fine…I’m going back to Yoochun.”
Yunho stopped his teasing and blinked. “You’re not serious,”
“Of course I am!” JaeJoong crossed his arms over his chest. “I mean, Chunnie doesn’t disrespect me by calling me mean names. He’s nice and he knows how to keep in his temper. He’s not hotheaded like a person I know. He’s sweet, he listens to other’s problems and tries to help out as much as he can. He’s there for people and whenever there is trouble as in fighting, Chunnie will be the first one to back them up. He takes good care of his little brother and loves his friends and families very much. Whoever disrespects any one of those people he loves and cares that person WILL go to HELL. He’s all a person can ever want. A sweet and lovable boy. I don’t know why I didn’t fall in love with him but instead with a person like y-” JaeJoong didn’t get to finish his sentence, for it was muffled away when Yunho pressed his lips against his.
JaeJoong’s lips twitched upwards as he closed his eyes, responding to the other man by returning the kiss. ‘His lips are so soft and sweet…’ JaeJoong thought as he slid his arms behind Yunho’s back and pulling him down to deepened the kiss.
After what seemed like hours, but only in minutes, Yunho finally broke the kiss and rested his forehead against JaeJoong’s. “I love you Joongie,”
“I love you too.”
“But then hmph…calling me a bully. You are a bully yourself…”
JaeJoong giggled and gave Yunho a quick peck at the end of his lips. “Okay I’ll admit it…Little Monsters are bullies. However, we use our brains and don’t assume things like Giants do.”
“Should I go call Junsu My Little Monster instead?” Yunho tapped his chin pretending to be in deep thought at the simple question. He nodded his head after a few seconds. “Ah-yes…I think I should.”
JaeJoong pouted cutely and gripped tightly onto Yunho’s arm. “HMMM! FINE- I won’t be a bully anymore.”
Yunho laughed and wrapped his arms around JaeJoong’s waist once again. “Hmm…bully me as much as you want. Because you see…”
“Because I see what?”
“If you bully me…” Yunho whispered, leaning in once more to steal a kiss from JaeJoong. “I get to bully My Little Monster more…”
“Hmmm…that’s true…” JaeJoong replied before closing the small gap between them.
