Theme # 23 – The Heart Slowly Begins to Die
There was such sadness that you saw below as you stood on top of the world. The howling wind whispered such harsh words that pierced your heart. The waves from below roared the painful memory that you so much wanted to forget. And no matter what you do, where you are – the picture of his pale angelic face will appear in the back of your mind. Such innocence you saw in him, but because of that innocence you were now in a situation where you wanted to kill yourself. Stab your aching and bleeding heart so once and for all you wouldn’t have to feel or deal with the pain. But you knew better. Killing wasn’t worth anything. It’ll just bring more sadness upon the Earth. So instead…you’ll just wait and suffer ‘til Fate will end your life.

It was just like a flower seed. You were just a junior that year in your high school along with ‘him’ and your best friend, Yoochun. Yoochun had always talked about JaeJoong, and you had once mistaken Yoochun for having a puppy crush on his hyung. Though when your best friend found out the truth, he laughed in your face and explained that JaeJoong was just a hyung. He had already had someone else in mind.
The first time you had met JaeJoong was somewhat kind of funny to you. While walking along the evening streets, you had spotted a young beautiful girly looking guy stumbling with some heavy grocery bags in his hands. Chuckling to yourself, you ran up to him and asked if the young man needed any help.
“Thank you,” He bowed and gave half of his bags to you.
While you followed him, you couldn’t help but noticed how the young man in front of you was amazingly stunning and beautiful. His long raven locks that fell and blocked those gorgeous dark caramel orbs. Even in the setting sun, you could see that his skin was soft and milky. You snapped back to reality when you heard his soft voice. “What was that?”
“I said, we’re at the place I’m staying already.” His eyes shined as if you were a super hero there to save the day. “Thank you again. And I’m really sorry if I have wasted your time.”
You gave out a nervous laugh. “No it wasn’t a problem.”
After a few minutes of staring at each other, he took out his hand and introduced himself. “I’m JaeJoong and you are?”
You blinked a couple of times. “JaeJoong?”
“Yes, is there a problem?”
“You’re JaeJoong…as in Kim JaeJoong?”
He raised a brow and nodded. “Yes…”
“I’m Jung Yunho, Yoochun’s friend.”
That was the beginning of your flower and as time passed your love and his love together bloomed into a beautiful rose. People called your relationship “high school sweethearts”. They were envious of the relationship you two shared. And they should be jealous. This relationship wasn’t any ordinary love people could just find…right? Life was perfect. Everything was perfect. You cared nothing in the world except for ‘him’. You loved him…he loved you. Just perfect… Or was it?

It is once again your third year in school except now you are in college. Four years? Five? Those beautiful years had gone by so fast…so quickly. Your love had grown tremendously towards the feminine man, though things now…were not like it used to be.
Like they always say; as time passes things slowly begin to change. That was what you feared. For it was beginning to come true. JaeJoong has been ignoring you lately and that scared you.

From across the room you watched him as he smiled and laughed, happily chattering away with the people that was around him. Your eyes were starting to sting again and it felt as if something sharp had pierced through your chest. Never in your life had you ever felt this kind of pain or jealousy.
‘Stop staring at him…’ You scolded yourself as you moved your attention back to the assignment that was in front of you. ‘Who cares? If he wants to ignores me…then so be it…’ However, your vision blurs and you quickly bite your lip so any whimper or sound wouldn’t escape from your lips. Who were you fooling? Of course you cared. Why was he ignoring you? Maybe…maybe you had done something to make him angry. Probably that was why he was not talking to you.
But what? What did you do to him? You didn’t remember saying anything rude to him nor do anything that was disrespectful to him. You don’t remember joking around saying “I don’t love you anymore,” or “I hate you.” Why would you say that to him? You loved him with all your heart. Unless…unless if you probably didn’t say “I love you” enough. That may be a good reason why he was ignoring you. But then…you had told him “I love you” every morning when you see him, every afternoon when you had lunch with him, and every night before you went to sleep; the first three words that’ll escape from your mouth was “I love you”.

“Morning Little Minnie,” JaeJoong ruffled Changmin’s head and the baby of the group smiled.
“Morning hyung ah!” He replied in sweet childish tone.
You looked up from your breakfast and watched as the two played and messed around with each other. You know that it was wrong yet you couldn’t help but feel a little mad and jealous towards Changmin. ‘How come I can’t get JaeJoong’s attention but Changmin can? What the hell did I ever do wrong?’ You gripped tightly to your spoon and resumed back to eating your cereal.

You two were now alone in the dorm and you tried to summon up things to start a conversation with him. ‘JaeBoo, did I do something wrong? Are you mad at me?’
Your fingers twitched. Oh how much you wanted to tug on his sleeve and ask him if he was mad at you or if you had done something wrong.
“JaeJoong…”
He turned around. “Yes? Is there something, Yunho?”
What had happened to the nickname that he had given you? What happened to Yunnie? The atmosphere was slowly suffocating you. The hideous pain was beginning to get your useless heart away.
“Ah…never mind.”
He raised a brow. “Okay…” He said slowly before turning back his attention to whatever he was doing earlier.
‘Why can’t you ask him?!’ You cursed at yourself. ‘Is it that hard to say are you mad at me JaeJoong?!’
You continued to stare at his back. Your vision suddenly began to blur and you bit your lips from giving out any noise. You didn’t want him to know. Never had you ever shed a single tear in front of anyone besides your parents. And that record wasn’t going to be ruined.
You reached out an arm. Funny…even if you two were only about one to two feet away from each other, you couldn’t quite get a hold of his back.

He had told you to meet him at a small café shop. Your heart pounded from nervousness and you knew what he was going to reveal. Though you tried to think up of the positive side. ‘Maybe…he going to ask me what I’m going to do this week. If I’m not then we can go do something fun together…’
You looked up as the bells from the door jingled. There he was, dressed in a tight white T-shirt and tight black jeans. He gave out a small smile and sat the seat that was across from you. “Have you waited long?”
You shook your head and gave him a small smile. “I just barely got here a few minutes ago.”
He nodded. His ebony hair fell to his eyes and you suddenly had the urge to reach out and brush it away from his brown eyes. “We should get to business shall we? I…Yunho,” JaeJoong started. “We should end this relationship.”
You looked up in shock. So you had already knew he was going to say this however…the way how he said it…it was as if he didn’t even care. “Jae, I don’t get it. I mean, I love you so much.”
“But ‘I’ don’t love you anymore like I use too. The feeling is going away. Would you like to be with someone who doesn’t love you? Don’t you understand? What if I cheat on you? How would you feel?”
“I don’t understand…” Looking away, you swallowed the lump at your throat and shook your head. “No…I don’t understand any of this.”
“I am sorry, for I don’t feel or have the same feelings towards you anymore. Please forgive me.” He stood up and placed a hand on top of yours. Just as he was about to move his hand away from yours, you grabbed his wrist and looked up at him with teary eyes.
“Please, JaeJoong…I’ll change if you want. I’ll do anything…please don’t…” Your voice cracked.
“I’m sorry Yunho.” He gave you a sad smile and pulled his wrist.
Watching him walking away, you had finally realized that it was over. You rest your forehead onto your arms and your shoulders shook as a sob escaped from your lips. And here…your flower was killed by a cold frost from the winter season. It was the end of the story.

Inside of your black jacket, you pull out a small handkerchief. The light pinkish cloth resembled so much of him and brought so many painful memories back; so many questions that you wanted him to answer. Why? Why did he have to leave you in pain like this? Did you not love him enough? Was there a problem where his parents wouldn’t let you two be together? Whatever the reason why he had broken all his promises, you’ll still forgive him.
You didn’t even care about wiping the salty tears that had already made its way down to your cheeks. There was no point in wiping them away when they were going to fall again later.
Taking a deep breath, you let go of the handkerchief and watched as the grudging wind took it away.
There was nothing right now in the world that will be able to mend your broken heart.
Along with the love that you once had for him…

XD It’s sooo SHORT! ToT Anyways…I needed to take my stress on writing this angst shot. Sorry for separating them but then hey…just go with it. -___-* I’ll update TBH later since THANK GOD this week I’m off from Thanks Giving break. -o-!!! Well because I’ve been writing too much angsty stuff lately…I’ll try to think up of more fluff shots.
