Chapter 1

~~~~~
Jane Yuh had moved numerous and countless times.
She had created 3 best friends along the way to senior year.
~~
He hugged her and gave her a book full of their memories.
"Thanks, TOP, I'll never lose this." Jane said quietly almost tearing up.
It was 5th grade.
"Hey, hey, hey, what about my hug??"
Jiyong tried to lighten up the move since Jane was moving to California.
Why couldn't she just stay in Korea?
Oh well. Her dad just moves his job too many times.
"If we become famous rappers one day, you better remember us." Jiyong reminded.
Jane laughed and made TOP squirm.
He had secretly crushed over Jane.
She was just so perfect.
Words couldn't explain what how he felt about Jane.
But if he confessed his love, it would ruin the friendship between them because TOP didn't know whether or not Jane had felt the same way with him.
And to add to that, they were only in 5th grade.
His mom would kill him if she knew that he was dating someone so early.
But TOP couldn't do anything.
She was leaving for America the next day.
~~~~

2 years later:

" Jane, let's not forget that we are best friends forever, okay? ", said Sandara Park.

They were best friends, in 7th grade, and attending Rancho Pico Junior High in sunny California.

"I will never forget you, Dara...” Jane replied sadly since she was moving back to Korea because her father had moved his job location.

They hugged for a long time and left.

---

That was 5 years ago.

Jane had moved to an international school in Korea.

She was in her senior year, basically finishing up and getting ready for the start of a new life.

Jane video chatted with Sandara whenever the opportunity came up.

And that was not very often since the time differences are almost opposite.

Jane leaned back on her blue wooden chair and looked at the screen.

It was 3:30 PM.

*Bleep*

[ Sandara Park has come online ]

This was that opportunity! She could reconnect with her since their last video chat was almost 3 years ago.

Jane hurriedly clicked on her name and invited her to video chat.

*You are now starting a video chat with Sandara Park*

Jane opened her mouth in shock.

Dara had become beautiful.

"Oh MY GOSH ITS JANE!!!!” Dara practically shouted at her screen.

Jane smiled and said back, "Yepp, it's me!!"

"Hey Jane! Oh my gosh. So many things have changed since junior high!! I have a new boyfriend and his name is Sam Lee! He's so hot!” Dara talked continuously to her screen.

Jane was just nodding, shameful to herself for having a single life for nearly many years.

She had loved this boy in the 5th grade, but forgot his name...

Jane had remembered that it started with a "T," but since so many moves since that had happened, Jane had no idea who it was.

She had a picture of him but forgot where it was.

Last saw it in her wallet, but it’s probably not there anymore.

Oh well. It would be a fantasy if she actually met him.

While Dara was still blabbing off about her perfect life about this guy named Sam, Jane looked down at her unpainted nails.

It felt like she had no life.

Well, she did have a life actually.

She had many friends, but they weren't like Dara.

Dara was a girl with beautiful eyes, shining a light whenever she's on stage.

She ought to become famous.

But the girls at Jane's international school were surprisingly gorgeous.

Every girl knew how to put make up on, dress, and ask a guy out without embarrassing herself.

That was almost impossible for a girl like Jane to do.

The thing is, they’re not as friendly and energetic like Dara.

She was outgoing in America with Dara, but ever since she came back to Korea, she felt dull.

Jane wanted to become a fun girl again.

She looked back at the screen and noticed that Dara had left the video chat.

"Oops. Did I ignore her too much?" Jane thought curiously biting down on her nail.

*Bleep*

‘Dara to talk to me’ says=
**Jane!!! I have to go! Class starts in 5~ Luv ya, bye. **

*Bleep *
**Sandara Park has logged off.

Well. That was quick.

Jane hadn’t even talked to her.

Oh well. She needed to go outside for some fresh air because Jane was being a couch potato at the moment, being stuck to her computer 24/7.

She changed into a tight, white v-neck with a leather jacket with tie-dye jeans; and wrapped herself with a white scarf to finish the look.

Jane put a pair of black Ray Bans on her face.

She may be dull, but she’s still stylish.

After putting on her gladiator sandals on, she walked out of her apartment door to the nice, crisp air.

Jane jogged down the marble stairs and strode to the main street of the neighborhood.

She looked up at the blue sky, so perfect.

There were occasional birds swoop across the sky.

It was too perfect. Too in sync.

For Jane that is…

“Yes, I just need some free time, boss! Please. Just today. I need some rest from all the work you make me do! … I know I need to work hard for the audience---“

Jane looked straight ahead and saw the man who had interrupted her from her happy mind.

He was casually dressed: a black shirt and jeans, a hat, and big sunglasses.

She ignored him, and continued to walk.

The man kept arguing and Jane kept looking up at the sky.

That phone call the man was having ended because someone suddenly tripped over his foot.

Jane was walking and suddenly she tripped over the man’s colorful Fila shoes and her sunglasses fell off her face.

She was always so helplessly clumsy.

The man instantly went down to her to pick up the sunglasses that had fallen on the ground.

He dusted them off and cleaned the lens.

The man looked up at Jane and apologized. “I’m terribly sorry. I was in a busy phone ca-----…”

The man cut short and looked Jane carefully in the eyes.

He examined her whole body and was shocked.

She looked so familiar.

He thought back to his elementary years to remember all those faces he had met.

He finally got it.

It was Jane.

The man had found Jane.

The girl he loved in 5th grade.

Jane caught the man staring at her and took the sunglasses from his hands.

“It’s okay, mister. Next time, please don’t stretch your legs too far.” Jane suggested for him with a cute face.

She dusted herself off and began to walk back towards her apartment to search for bruises and such.

Suddenly, the man grabbed her by the shoulder with his hands, feeling the warm leather jacket that Jane was wearing.

“Excuse me miss? I’m a member of the band, Big Bang. Do you by chance, know who they are?” He asked Jane with a smile.

“Ermm. Sorry. I don’t know. I have to get going.” Jane started to leave again when the man spoke again.

“Miss, I want you to have dinner with me and my group. You will be treated to dinner. Are you free tonight?” He asked with eagerness.

Jane stared at the man blankly, and not knowing, said, “Okay.”

It was like she had been hypnotized, like those people whom hold a chain watch and swing it back and forth in front of your eyes.

The man took off his sunglasses in hope that Jane would remember who he was.

But she didn’t.

Jane looked at his face and was shocked.

His cheekbones were gorgeous. His eyebrows were shaped perfectly.

And his smile. His smile looked so familiar, she wanted to reach out and brush the end of his smile with her fingertips.

But she resisted. It was rude and quite strange for someone to touch a stranger’s face in the middle of a conversation.

The man grabbed Jane’s hand and said, “Let’s go Jane.”

She suddenly stopped. “How do you know my name?”

He stopped too and said without worry, “You said it when you crashed into me.”

Even though he was lying, it was worth taking Jane to dinner.

The man smiled reassuringly and led Jane towards his car.

Jane couldn’t believe she was riding a stranger’s car.

But she couldn’t resist whom this mysterious man was and she was going to find out why he wanted to take her to dinner with other people.

She looked at the inside of the car; it was quite nice.

Jane ran her fingers over the leather seat.

She looked up and there were dozens of CD’s in a case up in a compartment in the car ceiling.

There was Bob Dylan, Maroon 5, Ne-Yo, Michael Jackson, and Big Bang.

Jane knew all of those artists except Big Bang.

Who was Big Bang?

She knew it was a group, since the man said it was.

Since they had a CD, well dozens of CD’s, Jane knew that she wasn’t going to be raped or any of the sorts.

Before she knew it, Jane was at an apartment complex, but not her own apartment.

She was led into the apartment and saw 4 other boys stare up in wonder.

Jiyong looked at her. He stared. He realized.

TOP had found Jane.

Daesung, Seungri, and Taeyang were just wondering what mishap TOP had gotten into this time.

Has he raided the donut store and brought this innocent girl for a ransom?

Maybe his good looks drew the girl closer to him.

Impossible. There had to be some reason.

“Who’s this, hyung?” Daesung asked curiously.

But TOP didn’t answer.

He looked at Jiyong.

Jiyong looked at TOP.

And they smiled.

TOP held a finger to his lips to tell Jiyong not to tell her because she doesn’t know yet.

Jiyong frowned and smiled after, understanding his hyung’s plans.

She was back. His best friend was back.

The three boys, Daesung, Seungri, and Taeyang were still in wonder.

“Guys. This is Jane. She’s our new friend.” TOP announced to them.

The three still had no idea who they were looking at.

But she was pretty. She had light brown eyes, wavy hair, and a toned body. She was wearing stylish clothes, which proved that she wasn’t a mad girl of any kind.

Jane was still silent, not knowing what was happening.

She was somewhat kidnapped, but not really.

Kidnapping is when someone takes you when you don’t want to go, right?

But Jane had agreed to follow this man to his home, which claimed to be a famous band called Big Bang.

After a few hours had passed, Jane was somewhat paralyzed in the living room of Big Bang’s apartment.

She looked around the living room, since she was free to look because Big Bang was not in her sight at the moment.

They had gone on their own inside the apartment.

Jane looked at the furniture around her.

Not too antique-ish, not too modern.

She liked it.

She twirled her long, wavy hair for a while, thinking about what had just happened.

Jane remembered she had a white bag with her when she came out.

But she didn’t have it with her on the couch.

Had one of the members taken it?

She was still with worry. She didn’t know what to do.

She started to panic like a pig. And sweat like one, too.

Did Jane drop it or leave it in that man’s black car?

‘Maybe I should talk to them. That will bring up some answers.’ Jane thought with concern.

What if they had stolen it and robbed her?

Jane started to think of all sorts of things. She had to look around for the members.

As soon as she looked around to search for the members, she saw the same man that took her to the apartment digging into her wallet.

“What do you think you’re doing, mister?!?” Jane practically shouted at him.

TOP realized she was looking and dug his hands deeper into the wallet.

He had to find evidence that he was her best friend back in 5th grade.

Maybe she doesn’t realize because she doesn’t think that her two best friends would have grown up to be so hot and sexy.

He didn’t have a yearbook, because yearbooks were so freaking expensive.

Why couldn’t she have recognized him though? They claimed to be best friends, right?

Maybe it was because Jane thought that they would have moved to America or something.

“Excuse me? Did you hear me? Can you please hand me my wallet back?” Jane was impatient. This stranger was digging through her wallet.

And surely, Jane did not like it. At all.

Then his fingers touched a thin paper-like thing in the wallet.

He smiled. It must be it.

He pulled the hidden paper out and looked at it.

It was a picture of TOP.

“Hey Jane, look at this.” TOP lifted the piece of paper next to his head so Jane can figure out the puzzle.

Jane looked sluggishly at the paper with impatience.

She focused on what he was holding.

And her mouth fell open in shock.

:O
