TOP said that here was a nice long couch for about ten people. It was white, the color that Jane was most afraid of spilling something onto something so pristine and white.
“I see you’ve come in, Jane.” Mr. Yang said, welcoming Jane into her new home.
TOP told Jane that Caroline, Melody, and Bom, were all standing next to each other.
He motioned her to also stand next to the other girls, so Jane walked over and stood next to Melody.
Both girls smiled at each other as they heard Mr. Yang speak up about room policies.
“Girls, you know the usual, no fighting, nothing violent, and I will leave that responsibility up to all of you, and who ever does not cooperate with this system will have an immediate disqualification, which I’m sure none of you want.”
The four girls nodded, and CL started to chew on her nails.
Jane started to twirl her hair, Melody started to fiddle with her fingers, and Bom scratched her arm.
She was uncomfortable for not seeing anything and also moved her foot around and around as she heard Mr. Yang continue.
“So please, two to three people in a room, since there are only two rooms.”
“ Please choose your partners!” Mr. Yang finished with a smile as he looked at the four who were obviously nervous.
Jane immediately held hands with Melody. “Let’s be together!!”
They both nodded and got excited as they jumped up and down.
Bom suddenly tapped Jane on the shoulder. “Jane? Can I join your room?”
Jane smiled. “Of course you can!”
Bom smiled and the three of them started to jump around, excited.
Dara went to CL. “Caroline! We have to be together!! Haha” She giggled as she jumped around, trying to imitate the other three that seemed to be having the time of their lives.
CL played along, obviously jealous that they have Bommie unnie, but she had Dara unnie!
Surely Dara unnie has had a lot of experience!
Jane ran to the three-person bedroom and gasped in amazement.
Melody said that there were three Mac book pros, each on their own table, and the beds were white, lined with golden paint.
Jane jumped on the bed closest to the window. “Mine!”
Melody got the one next to hers. “Mine!!!!!”
Giggly Bom lightly leaped onto her purple bed covers. “Mine!” She squeaked.
“I’m really glad you guys agreed to me staying here!!!” Bom clapped happily, crossing her honey legs together.
Melody and Jane laughed at their unnie’s cuteness.
“It’s okay!! We were gonna ask you anyways!” Jane responded, getting up from the bed to look at their Mac books.
“Ooooh I have a Mac book pro!” Jane said, opening the top lid.
She was about to press the ‘on’ button when Seungri came through the door.
“Ri!” Jane yelled, hugging his little cute dongseng.
Seungri laughed and hugged Bom as well.
Finally, he came to Melody. He looked at his two noona’s to see if they were looking and they weren’t.
He quickly pecked Melody on the cheek.
“Oppa!” Melody squeaked, obviously surprised from what he did.
Jane turned around and squinted her lifeless eyes at the two lovebirds. “You guys didn’t do anything mushy, did you?”
Seungri giggled nervously. “Noona! Say that for yourself when you tease yourself with hyung!”
She blushed as she lightly hit her dongseng on the back of his head.
“Oh, Mr. Yang wants to talk to you guys about the first round of this competition!” Seungri announced, causing three girls that were in the room to swish by him.
“That… was fast.” Seungri whispered, when he realized that the three girls, even Melody had left him to go to Mr. Yang.
“I wish girls would come to me that fast.” Seungri rolled his eyes as he walked out of the girls’ room.
He speedily walked into the living room, just so happening to arrive just in time.
Mr. Yang began. “Okay girls, the first contest just so happens to be a dance contest!” Your roommates will be your team members, and you will have to create a dance routine to go with a song that you make on your own! All from scratch.”
He paused and then continued. “The team who seems to have the most interesting and powerful routine will win this round.”
Mr. Yang finished up with his last words. “Your time begins now, and your deadline will be in two weeks.”
Caroline and Dara ran into their rooms, and everyone in the living room heard them listening to some beats and mixes on their new Mac books.
Taeyang and Daesung came up to Jane, Melody, and Bom.
“Ji min-ah! I’ll help you with the melody and stuff!!” Daesung said, obviously excited about this competition.
Taeyang added something in too. “I’ll help you make a dance routine!!”
Jane rose up her hand to silence them.
“That’s basically cheating! I want to prove that we can be good at representing ourselves through music and dance!” Jane said triumphantly, throwing her fist in the air.
“Woah Woah there, Caesar. You don’t have to be so… warrior-like.” TOP said, coming behind her and hugging her in his arms.
Jane giggled her way out of his arms and tried to look cross at him. “Oppa... Stop it.”
A look of pain stretched across TOP’s face and it disappeared when he realized he was supposed to keep his distance from her in front of Mr. Yang.
“Sorry, Jane.” TOP apologized and remained quiet.
Melody interrupted everyone. “Jane!! We should get to work immediately!”
Jane nodded.
“Good luck girls!” Taeyang and Daesung both said, heading out the door with TOP and Seungri.
TOP waved good-bye to Jane one last time. She waved back and a surge of happiness entered his body when he saw that smile on her face.
So many memories go into a smile. TOP sighed and closed the door behind him.
“Okay, so what should our song be about?” Bom asked, exhilarated to win this contest.
“It should tell the audience that we are ready to be accepted as serious artists, and to be approved into the musician world.” Melody exclaimed proudly, crossing her arms in pride.
Jane started to hum a tune. “Hey Melody!” She asked, causing Melody’s head to rise at the question.
“You’re into dancing right?”
Melody nodded her head as Bom piped up.
“I’m good with singing!”
Jane giggled. “DUHH!!! You’re like the best and most experienced singer here.”
Bom blushed as Melody nodded in agreement.
“Jane, can you rap?” Melody questioned, twiddling with her fingers.
She started to get into the move by bobbing her head up and down in a silly manner.
“Uh! Uh! Uh! Put yo hands in da air!! And wave em live you just don’t care! My name is Jane Yuh uh uh uh uh and I was born in California.” Jane tried to rap as the other two girls burst out laughing like crazy.
Jane stopped and imagined Melody laughing and snorting all over the place with her hair all over her face. Jane started to laugh too, unable to get that image out of her head.
The three couldn’t stop laughing. They kept laughing and laughing until Jiyong tapped Jane on the shoulder.
Jane screamed and looked at who was tapping her. She smelled the scent of the human, and knew whom it was. It was Jiyong.
“Whew. You scared me to death.” She sighed in relief.
Then she automatically realized whom she was talking to and what that person did to her.
She turned to him. Plastered a fake smile onto her face. And with the most fake voice she could ever make, she said, “Yes?”
Jiyong grabbed her wrist and took her outside.
“Let me go Jiyong!!” Jane shouted, but he kept pulling her out the door.
“C’mon!” Jiyong grumbled, increasing the force on her wrist.
Melody and Bom tried to follow but Jiyong slammed the door in front of their faces.
“Kwon Jiyong. If you don’t let me go this instant I’m going to---“ Jane was interrupted by Jiyong, who forced her lips onto Jane’s.
Jane tried to push him away, but his force was just too strong.
Her heart somewhat jumped when his lips touched hers.
Stop it! Stop it! You have TOP!! You can’t do this!
She became dizzy and everything went black again.
