Chapter 25

A man on a street took out his cell phone and dialed a number.

When the person on the other line picked up, he began to speak.

“It’s me. I heard that they have feelings for each other?”

The man paused for a while as he listened to the person on the other line.

Jane ran down the stairs and she saw that the front door was open.

She rushed to where Jiyong was standing, protectively hovering his arms over his mother.

“What the hell are you doing here, CL?! What do you want?!” Jiyong screamed out the door.

Jane caught on that the person that had made Jiyong’s mother scream was Caroline Lee. But why?

She carefully peered outside, and was shocked when CL, who had a knife in her hand, turned her head to Jane and smiled.

Jane didn’t like the way CL smiled at her, and it wasn’t a good sign.

“I need a little talk with her.” CL pointed the knife towards Jane.

Jiyong was upset, so he shouted at the girl with the weapon. “In your dreams, Caroline! There’s no way I’m letting you talk to Jane with that KNIFE in your hand.”

His mother backed away from the door and watched silently from the top of the stairs.

Jane was confident and also curious about why Caroline had come to Jiyong’s house to talk with her with a weapon.

“I’ll talk. Right here though. No closer.” Jane demanded and Caroline nodded faintly.

Jiyong gave them permission to talk. “Go on.” He sternly said, giving a shiver to Jane.

“What do you want, Caroline.” Jane snapped at her.

Caroline looked at Jane carefully and then started to say something.

“According to a lot of people’s perspectives, you two seem to have feelings for each other.”

Jane looked strongly into Caroline’s eyes. “And so what if a lot of people think that?”

Caroline smiled again. She put the knife in her bag and laughed silently.

“Stop taking this as a joke! It’s not so just spit out what you’re trying to tell us!” Jane shouted at CL, who wasn’t shocked at her reaction.

“Very well. The YG Entertainment Terms of Service state that love connections between trainees and group members will not be tolerated. And since you just admitted that you were in love with Kwon Jiyong, you two must face the consequences.” Caroline looked back into Jane’s eyes with a more fierce tone.

Jane had nothing to say. She was about to say that she didn’t like him anymore, when Jiyong interrupted her, and said, “I love her too. Are you doing this to us because you don’t want Jane to help Melody with Seungri?”

Caroline widened her eyes. She looked down at the thought of Seungri.

“I’ve learned to move on. And besides, as the future leader of this girl group, I have to focus on my vocals and dancing, not love. And that’s exactly what you two should do too.” Caroline didn’t have that fierce look on her face anymore. She looked sort of paranoid, after she felt like she was slapped in the face with words.

“Oppa, you were supposed to be on me and Dara unnie’s side. What made you go over to Jane?” CL spat at Jane and then looked up at Jiyong.

“Because.” Jiyong smiled and put his arm around Jane’s shoulder.

He looked at Caroline with a protective look. “I love her too much to hurt her. I will never hurt her again… Being with you girls… there are just too many consequences where a lot of people get injured both mentally and physically.”

Jiyong paused and brushed his lips over Jane’s forehead. “Besides. It’s too risky. And I don’t want to lose Jane again. Now if you’ll excuse us, we have some chicken to eat.”

Jane and Jiyong looked at Caroline once more before they shut the door in her face.

Jiyong’s mother came down from where she was hiding and looked at the two carefully.

“You childen remind me of me and my husband when we were young.” She smiled and continued.

“You guys love each other and don’t stop loving.” She faced Jiyong. “If you ever stop loving Jane, I’ll be disappointed. She’s a beautiful young lady that deserves to be loved.”

His mother faced Jane this time. “Same goes for you. I know I’m in no place to tell who should love whom, but you two seem very bonded. Jane, I remember you from 5th grade. Jiyong always used to talk about you, and he would tell me how pretty you were—“

“Mom.” Jiyong blushed and looked at Jane.

Jane giggled. “Aww Jiyong.”

Jiyong hugged Jane and chuckled.

His mother softly laughed. “Now let’s go eat some chicken!”

Jane and Jiyong followed the old woman to the kitchen and ate their lunch.

-

Jiyong and Jane were driving back to Big Bang’s dorm.

He dropped her off because he needed to do something.

Jane stepped inside and remembered the apartment well from when she first met TOP.

TOP… She didn’t know how TOP could have been lying to her this whole time.

Wasn’t the relationship between them about love?

‘Why didn’t Dad tell me about the will? And how much was in it?’ Jane thought as she passed TOP’s door.

She needed to get things off of her mind and talk to someone.

Maybe go to the mall?

Jane knocked on Seungri’s door and stepped inside.

Seungri looked up and smiled.

“Noona!!”

“Hey Ri-Ri! Do you wanna do some shopping with me?”

Seungri looked up at her and shook his head. “Sorry Noona!! I’d love to but I have to go out with Melody to the amusement park, and I have to have a good disguise before I go out in the open.”

“Awww, alright then. You two have fun, but don’t get so lovey-dovey!” Jane smirked and left Seungri’s room.

Jane stared at all the closed doors.

She had already asked Jiyong, and he had to go somewhere with his mother. Also asked Seungri and Daesung, but they were busy doing something on their own, so the last person to ask was Taeyang.

Taeyang and Jane didn’t really talk, cause they didn’t know each other very well.

This was an opportunity to get on the friendly side with him.

Standing in front of his door, Jane knocked on it carefully.

“Come in.” A voice said from the inside, and so she turned the crystallized knob and stepped into his room.

Taeyang looked up from the computer. “Hey Jane.”

She grinned and waved.

“Are you doing anything today?” Taeyang asked.

Jane giggled. “That’s what I was about to ask.”

He showed off his dimples. “Then I guess we’re both free. Wanna go somewhere?”

She nodded. “I’ve been wanting to get to the mall and buy some new clothes.”

“Me too. I might wanna buy a new cap for myself.” Taeyang smiled at the thought.

“Alright then. Do you have a car?”

Jane shook her head. “I usually take the bus.”

“You do realize I can be badly massacred in one of those?” Taeyang laughed and so did Jane.

“And,” Taeyang added, “if the paparazzi get us, we’re in deep trouble.”

“It’s okay. I’ll probably look like your little sister.” Jane giggled.

Taeyang smirked. “I guess that means that big brothers are supposed to buy their little sister some clothes then?”

Jane smiled. “Maybe they do.”

They both laughed.

“Okay so what are we going to do about transportation?” Taeyang asked, concerned about the topic.

“I suppose we can just take a taxi.” Jane brought up, and he nodded.

“I’ll go get ready. Meet you in the living room in ten minutes?”

Jane agreed and left Taeyang’s room.

She needed her stuff. Then she realized her suitcase and things were in TOP’s room.

Hoping that there was no one in there, Jane opened the door.

There didn’t seem to be anyone present, so she went inside and closed the door behind her.

In the right corner of TOP’s room was Jane’s suitcase and things.

Hopefully they were untouched.

On top of her things was a note. She snatched it and read it. “I’M SORRY.”

Jane rolled her eyes and crumpled up the paper. She aimed it at the wastebasket and threw it. She made it in perfectly.

“I guess your skills haven’t worn off yet.” A deep voice said behind her.

She shivered and looked up at TOP.

Jane ignored him and continued to put everything into her bag so her suitcase won’t fall apart.

“So you were happy when I said that my parents died, weren’t you?” She suddenly said.

“Just to take the money from my dad, you hurt me, ruined our relationship. I thought what we had was love, but I suppose not.” Jane muttered coldy.

Jane looked up at him.

“I thought I had a good time, being with you and all. Taking in all those loving phrases as if it was real. You were lying to me the whole time and I won’t forgive you for that.”

She looked away and rolled her suitcase to his door.

“You know I don’t forgive liars, TOP. Take my father’s money. It’s what he wanted for you. But I know he wants the best for me, so I’m leaving your side. And don’t expect for me to come back.”

Jane opened the door and shut it behind herself.

Leaving TOP’s side forever, she knew he wasn’t the one for him.

She opened Daesung’s door and rest her suitcase on the floor.

Daesung had said that she was welcome to his room whenever she wanted.

Looking at her limited amount of clothes, Jane picked out a white sundress and grabbed her Ray Bans, and head out to the living room.

She picked up her bag at the front door and saw that Taeyang was waiting for her.

“Ready?” He asked.

Jane nodded happily, and followed him out the door to go catch a taxi.
