“Excuse me Miss Haneul, .”
Kneeling down placing fertilizers on her daisy plants, Haneul then turned around to see who the one was talking behind her.
There she saw one of their male workers at the hacienda.
“Anything wrong?” She answered.
“We have a problem. Some of the hibiscus you just planted by the boundary of the hacienda were….”
The worker seemed to have swallowed his words when he saw the changing expression on Haneul’s face.
“Were what!?” Now that she has raised her voice, the worker was more nervous.
“Uhmm…. Were eaten by the goats.”
“What? What goats?”
“Our goats. Those that we were raising at the lives stock area.”
“How did it happen? Aren’t those animals being kept properly? What the hell did this happen!?”
In a second, she quickly stood up and rode to her horse which was tied just outside her flower garden.
She headed towards the place where her hibiscus plants were planted.
She was so sad looking at them.
She planted them by herself, and yeah, under the heat of the sun.
She then wasted no time to go to the livestock area and looked for someone she knew responsible for what just happened.
“Where is he?” She asked another worker when she realized that the one she’s looking for isn’t there.
“He’s at the stable. Feeding the horses.”
After hearing it, she quickly headed to the stable still riding on her horse.
As she got inside, she then saw a man carrying buckets of water and pouring it onto the containers for the horses to drink.
She could see the glistening of the man’s skin because of sweat.
The man is wearing a white beater and old pair of jeans which showed the good shape of his body.
The heavy weight of the buckets of water seemed to help reveal the well toned muscles of this man.
She swallowed bit looking at the view.
‘I don’t care even if you look god damn sexy but I want an explanation about my ruined plants!’
She then stepped forward approaching the man.
“Yah! Junsu! What happened on my hibiscus, huh?” She said in an authoritative tone.
Being the daughter of the owner of the hacienda, she used this kind of power to get a good answer from this Junsu.
Junsu is the caretaker of the livestock area.
He was a son of the previous caretaker and grew up with her and her sister on the hacienda.
Since his father dies, he replaced him and become the caretaker even at the young age of 16.
It happened about 5 years ago, which makes him 21 years old at present.
Junsu just glanced at her when he heard someone spoke to him.
He then continued what he was doing.
Pissed off with his expression, she stomped her feet walking towards him.
“Yah! Don’t you just look at me like that!”
She screamed at him.
“I’m sorry about your plants.”
It was an expressionless voice and she didn’t even feel a little bit of guilt coming from the man. Annoyed by it, she didn’t stop talking.
“Why did your goats got into the boundary? Aren’t they kept on their own sheds? You should’ve let them wander around like that!”
“I said I’m sorry.” Still with a low expressionless voice, she heard him again.
She could see him just walking back and forth to the stalls where the horses were.
He wasn’t even like listening to her.
She is really pissed off now.
Junsu was just like this even before.
He isn’t talking much.
He just works and works.
He wakes up early in the morning and goes home when he’s done with his chores.
Before, he used to live with his father at a small house near the livestock area but when the latter died, her father asked him to live with them at the mansion.
It was a long negotiation and Junsu has no other choice but to give in to her father’s request.
“Yah! This isn’t the first time this happened! My other plants were eaten too by them last month! And the other month too! Aren’t you be cautious already about this?!”
She was talking still when Junsu walked to her and gave her a stare.
Their faces were so close and she could almost smell his breath.
She was so surprised and she was really caught off guard.
She could smell his masculine scent. It definitely made her mind stir a bit.
She unconsciously closed her eyes and felt his nearness to her.
She then heard him speak.
“You’re so noisy.”
It was a breathy whisper from him and she was caught off guard.
She just then heard him chuckled and left her standing there.
Junsu then walked back to his horses and fed them.
She didn’t know what to do.
Her cheeks are burning.
Thank God she’s tanned skin, ‘cause if not, he could see her blushing now.
The then regained her composure and tried to speak.
She was really nervous yet she still tried.
“I… I want your animals be taken care properly. Don’t let them roam around the hacienda like you always tolerate.”
It was all she said and walked out of the stable holding her breath.
It wasn’t the first time Junsu made her feel like that.
He does it to her many times already.
And she must admit that she likes it.
Even before, she already likes him.
But she couldn’t show it.
They lived there together for a very long time and he was like her brother already for her father treats him like a son too.
She doesn’t know if Junsu liked her too.
But she really doubts it.
He never showed her any affection.
Although she never saw him with other women, he still doesn’t know what’s running into his mind when it talks about her.
He was so silent.
And just works hard there.
