Xi Yuan coordinated all the wedding preparations and mandated the hotel staff.
XI YUAN
When I said we were going for magic, I meant fairy tale magic, not Sigfreid and Roy. Fix those lights. And what’s up with the balloons? This is not Junior High Prom. Have the flowers arrived yet?
BALLROOM
Xi Yuan oversaw preparation for the wedding reception.
XI YUAN
…caterers are here, band’s setting up, what else is missing?... Oh damn, the wedding cake!
HOTEL SUITE
Shan Cai got ready with the help of her bridesmaids, Jing, Xiao Qiao, and Xiao You. The only jewelry she had on was the meteor star necklace.
JING
Wow, Shan Cai. That’s a beautiful pair of shoes!
SHAN CAI
It’s my good pair of shoes.
Jing and Shan Cai smiled at each other knowingly.
XIAO YOU
She almost didn’t buy that when we were in New York. Lucky you did, Shan Cai. That’s your something new.
Shan Cai nodded. Xiao Qiao handed Shan Cai a garter.
XIAO QIAO
Here, I'm saving this for my own wedding, but you can use it now. It will be your something borrowed, and at the same time, something blue.
SHAN CAI
Really? Thank you, Xiao Qiao. Jing, Xiao You, you two should also wear this garter in your weddings.
The four ladies smiled at each other and looked at Shan Cai’s reflection on the mirror. She glowed and was radiant with happiness. Shan Cai stared at her reflection and smiled at herself.
SHAN CAI
This is my wedding day, it’s finally here. But I know this is will not be just a one-night Cinderella dream, this is the part where we live happily ever after. This is such a perfect moment, it seems nothing could go wrong anymore...
Then suddenly, Dao Ming Feng’s reflection appeared on the mirror. The four ladies turned around and faced Dao Ming Feng anxiously. Dao Ming Feng’s looked at Shan Cai with an unreadable expression.
DAO MING FENG
Can the three of you ladies excuse me and Shan Cai for a while, please? I’d like a word with her.
The three ladies looked at Shan Cai worriedly. Shan Cai took a deep breath and nods to them. They hesitantly left them both.
Dao Ming Feng took a few steps towards Shan Cai. Shan Cai remained standing on her spot.
DAO MING FENG
You clean up nice.
SHAN CAI
H-ha?...u-um...th-thank you?
DAO MING FENG
I still owe you a favor, remember?
SHAN CAI
(recalls and nods)
But I really don’t--
Dao Ming Feng held out one hand. Shan Cai looked at what’s on Dao Ming Feng’s palm and saw a pair of meteor star earrings.
DAO MING FENG
Here, let me help you put it on.
Dao Ming Feng turned Shan Cai to face the mirror again and put the pair of earrings on her.
DAO MING FENG
I wore these earrings on my own wedding. So did Dao Ming Si’s grandmother.
When finished, Shan Cai turned to face Dao Ming Feng.
SHAN CAI
Why are you giving it to me?
DAO MING FENG
It will be your something old.
Shan Cai smiled insecurely.
DAO MING FENG
You still remember what favor you asked from me?
SHAN CAI (V.O.)
I hope that one day, you will learn to accept me. That’s what I’m going to ask of you.
Shan Cai got wide-eyed.
DAO MING FENG
Don’t get too excited. It will be a lie to say to you now, after everything that has happened, I have accepted you just like that.
Shan Cai had a look of disappointed on her face, and feared Dao Ming Feng was here to stop the wedding.
DAO MING FENG
However, I do want to because my son likes you.
SHAN CAI
But you still don’t.
DAO MING FENG
I want to...and I usually get what I want.
Shan Cai gave a sigh of relief and smiled widely. Dao Ming Feng’s expression softened and smiled back at her.
They heard the door slammed open.
DAO MING SI
Shan Cai! Ma!
Shan Cai quickly hid behind the screen divider.
SHAN CAI
Pighead! What are you doing here? You’re not supposed to see me yet!
DAO MING SI
But my ma--
Dao Ming Feng faced his son and smiles at him.
DAO MING FENG
Let’s go, son. We have a wedding to attend.
Dao Ming Si looked at her mom gratefully.
ROOFTOP GARDEN - SUNSET
All the invited guests were seated. Dao Ming Si stands by the garland-adorned arbor along with his best men: Lei, Xi Men and Mei Zhuo.
The processional music began to play. All guests (previous cast members) turn their heads to the end of the aisle. Dao Ming Si’s family walked down first. Shan Cai’s parents followed. They were nouveau riche and looked the part with the clothes they were wearing and the hilarious formal/sad expressions on their faces. The bridesmaids were next.
Shan Cai stood at the end of the aisle, holding a bouquet of stargazer lilies. With her good pair of shoes, She took the first step and made her way to Dao Ming Si.
Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si recalled their memories of how they began and how they finally reached this point.
SHAN CAI (V.O.)
Walking down the aisle for me is not just simply walking down the aisle. In a way, it symbolizes my story with Dao Ming Si. With him, I learned how to embrace joy, how to endure sorrow, how to live each day to the fullest, not knowing which of those two is on the horizon. There’s no need for a perfect happy ending, for this journey never ends...
Shan Cai arrived at the altar. Dao Ming Si offered his hand and Shan Cai took it. They stepped in the arbor and the ceremony commenced. They exchange loving glances as the minister spoke.
MINISTER
...the couple will now recite their vows.
Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si held hands and faced each other.
DAO MING SI
I give you my hand,
I give you my love more precious than money,
I give you myself before preaching or law,
Will you give me yourself?
Will you journey with me?
Shall we stick by each other as long as we live?
SHAN CAI
The efflux of the soul is happiness, here is happiness.
I think it pervades the open air, waiting at all times,
Now it flows unto us, we are rightly charged.
I love you with not knowing how, when or from where.
But I love you straightforwardly, without complexities and pride,
So I love you because I know no other way.
MINISTER
The two will now exchange rings as symbol of their commitment to each other.
The wedding rings were the pair of meteor star rings.
DAO MING SI, SHAN CAI
Wear this ring as a symbol of my everlasting love and devotion,
Of my undying faith and hope, and my promise to be yours forever.
MINISTER
By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.
Dao Ming Si wrapped one arm around Shan cai’s waist and placed his other hand on her nape. He leaned in and gave her a kiss.
ANGLE UP – fireworks in the night sky, above the newlyweds.
AERIAL WS – entire rooftop garden decorated with flowers and white lights to show the meteor garden theme.
INT. BALLROOM
ROUND TABLE
The newlyweds joined their friends. They handed them their gift.
DAO MING SI
One gift from all of you? You’re such cheapskates!
Dao Ming Si opened the gift and saw it’s a big scrapbook. It contained pictures of F4 growing up and more recent pictures from college to present.
SHAN CAI
Thanks, you guys. This is great and very sweet of you all.
DAO MING SI
And frugal.
SHAN CAI
Says the guy who frames burnt cookies.
The scrapbook had the title “F4 Beginnings” engraved on it.
SHAN CAI
Why it’s titled “F4 – Beginnings”?

Well, this isn’t the end of us...is it?
Everyone looked at each other and smile. They continued to look at the pictures while they recalled the memories and laughed.

When we were young, dreams were easy to imagine, wishes were easy to make. I sleep as long as I possibly could, to keep my dreams before they leave me when I wake up. I stand on rooftops, thinking it will lift me nearer to the stars. However, I realized what make wishes come true are not the stars in the sky. The stars are only there to inspire us and guide us. What truly make wishes come true is what’s right here with me. Dreams happen not in slumber, but in awakening, for that is the only way I can bring them to life. With a faithful heart, we could; because that’s what dreams are made of.

In my life, I may have experienced a lot of ‘very moments.’ But which of those moments in life really can be singled out and say, ‘that’s when all things changed’? If and when you do get that kind of moment, don’t let it pass you by. You might never get them again, fate and luck can only do so much. Be sure to live for that very moment. ‘coz when you do, you’d feel alive for the first time; and wonder how you survived in the past without being this way. You’d discover what happiness is really about, and why it’s coveted by many. Best of all, you get to have that, happiness, to last you for the rest of your life.

There’s a friend who stick closer than a brother; and I have three right here with me now as we are about to embark on our latest journey. I can’t picture anybody else taking this journey along with me, nor can imagine how I’ve done without them. We have gone through a lot in our more than two decades of friendship. But make no mistake, F4 hasn’t reached the end. In fact, we’ve only just begun. But either way, it's all good. Coz "think where man's glory most begins and ends, and i say my glory was i had such friends."

XI YUAN
I see these people happy and I ask myself, why can’t I have that?
XI LIN
‘Coz it’s not what you want.
XI YUAN
Yeah. All this happiness makes me wanna puke. I hate weddings. I'd go out for fresh air.
Dao Ming Zhuang and her husband looked amusingly at her. Xi Yuan stood up from the table.
EXT. BALLROOM ENTRANCE
Two ladies were trying to persuade the security guard to let them in the ballroom, claiming they were friends of the bride and groom. But the security guard said nobody can come in without an invitation.
BAI HE
This is just so hateful! We are supposed to be there! We are supposed to be one of F4’s brides!
QIAN HUI
That’s right! All our lives, we prettied ourselves, hell-bent on marrying one of F4, and now they all ended up with other people!
INT. BALLROOM
MONTAGE
Candid moments of all previous cast members during the wedding. Freeze frames.
END MONTAGE
CAMERA POV - Jing, Xiao You and Xiao Qiao together in one table, chatting cheerfully. Freeze frame.
ROOFTOP GARDEN - NIGHT
CAMERA POV - F4 sitting on the wall, along with Shan Cai in the middle and pointing to the sky. Freeze frame.
The five hear the camera clicked. They turned around and came down from their position.
QING-HE (O.S.)
How about a group picture of the five of you?
F4, with Shan Cai in the middle, pose formally. Freeze frame.
QING-HE (O.S.)
Ok, one more time to be sure.
F4 and Shan Cai kept their positions. When the camera clicked, and they made funny faces and crazy poses. That became the final stillshot of F4 and Shan Cai. Picture was placed on the last page of the scrapbook. Scrapbook closes.

Though the book of Meteor Garden is finally closed, their story just begun. Like horizons, there are no endings, only new beginnings. For our characters, the journey never ends...
...but it always begins with a fight.
INSERT: a four-layer chocolate fudge wedding cake with white chocolate icing and lined with strawberries. On top of the cake is a figurine of the bride who wears braided pigtails, and of the groom who has pineapple hairstyle and a red bandana tied around his forehead.
Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai cut a slice. Dao Ming Si fed a spoonful of cake to Shan Cai. She was caught off-guarded and the cake fell on her dress.
SHAN CAI
Dao Ming Si, you pighead!
DAO MING SI
Hey, I was returning the strawberry I owe you!
Shan Cai scooped icing on the cake and aimed it at Dao Ming Si. He ducked. The icing landed on somebody else and it sparked an all-out food fight.
EPILOGUE:
EXT. BEACH – DUSK
SUPERIMPOSE – HAWAII
Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si chased each other along the beach.
ELEVETAD AREA ON THE ISLAND - NIGHT
Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si were using a telescope.
DAO MING SI
Have you seen it yet?
SHAN CAI
Not yet.
DAO MING SI
Let me see first!
Dao Ming Si peeked through the telescope.
DAO MING SI
I’m seeing it! The meteor shower has started!
SHAN CAI
Let me see! Let me see!
Shan Cai peeked through telescope and saw the meteor shower.
SHAN CAI
It’s so beautiful!
DAO MING SI
Was the one you saw had a ring around it?
Shan Cai stood up straight. She looked at Dao Ming Si and nodded. Dao Ming Si leaned in to kiss her.
ANGLE UP – meteor shower in the sky
QING HE (V.O.)
Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai might never find out why they fell in love with each other. Guess some things in the universe cannot be put into logic or are not meant to be rationalized. They are just understood by the heart...
(beat)
...wait! What about me? Shan Cai! Shan Cai! Dao Ming Si, I will challenge you!
