Thank you for reading my very first story. I wrote it during the end of summer 2003 and has been floating under the radar ever since.
i'm really flattered and very inspired by all the readers and your comments. To be honest, up until now, i get very nervous and scared to read feedbacks. But when i do, i'm always encouraged by them. I'm happy to see that old readers are still interested in this story and to also find new readers too.
During the story's first run in the site, i received a number of feedbacks. I took them all in, listened to all your reviews, and some did influence the changes in this story. I'm very grateful to everyone who took time to express their thoughts and feelings about my work. It was overwhelming and at the same time very humbling.
The reason i made changes to the story was first to make it shorter, coz i felt the first version was too long and winding. A year after i wrote it, it had gone through a lot of updates and editing to the point i felt it had become overwritten, uptight and melodramatic. It got too many settings (four countries, three continents), i needed to return it to focus. i wanted to bring back the fun and excitement, be light & more laid back, like the first Meteor Garden was.
more importantly, i wanted to make it more original. I wanted the ideas to be of my own, and no longer base it on other tv shows and stories aside from Hana Yori Dango. Hence the changes in Xi Men-Xiao You's & Mei Zhuo-Xiao Qiao's stories. I know many loved the first Xi Men & Xiao You story, but i felt Xiao You was too melodramatic and one-dimensional. I watched her in Meteor Garden again recently and i wanted to bring the fun, charming and bubbly Xiao You back in this version. Xi Men & Xiao You overanalyzed their relationship to the point it's not worth all the drama. There were too much of them and they were all over the place. so even though they were dealing with some adult stuff, i'd like to keep their humor and wit with them. With Mei Zhuo & Xiao Qiao, their first story was based on Chandler & Monica of Friends. As much as i loved it, i had to agree with some comments that they getting married was kind of moving too fast for them. they were the newest couple afterall. And since Mei Zhuo was the most level-headed and most normal among F4, their relationship had to be the least dysfunctional and the ones to keep the fairy tale in love.
Other miscellaneous changes were the songs. from the original forty songs, i reduced it from eight to nine. I really love these songs and i hope you'd see why they're in the story the way i do.
Perhaps beginner's luck had a lot to do with it, but up to now i still get surprised with the comments my story have received. Inspiration played a big part in writing this and i'm very glad it met its goals. It's incredibly heartwarming for me when readers said my story made them happy, it drew many emotions from them, it gave them closure so to speak, it was the most realistic (i guess they meant "reelistic") version of Meteor Garden 3 they have read, and it's one of their favorite stories to read. You have no idea how much i appreciate them, they may be the best reviews i'd ever get in my entire literary life. lolz.
I hope you recommend this story to your friends. please check on this story every now and then even though i had already archived it. i don't want to exceed 21 chapters so any updates will be announced here.

New Characters Info:
XI YUAN (Xu Wei Lun)
she somehow represents those people that are too critical of F4 and shan cai, and thinks meteor garden has nothing to offer to them. you can see her as the WASP version of shan cai, dao ming si's female counterpart, dao ming feng's mini-me or what. but mostly, she's an outside person looking in who provides a reality check for the characters and unintentionally balances the scale in the process.
In order for readers to have a mental vision of her, I chose Xu Wei Lun. though it wasn't her i have in mind when formulating Xi Yuan's character, after seeing her in Love Storm she just blew me away.
XI LIN (Ambrose Hsu)
he is named after Jerry's character in Love Scar. I wanted his character to turn out different from what people thought he might be. He's what Dao Ming Si could've been but not neccessarily have to be. i just thought he'd be a perfect mental vision for Xi Lin's character.
