Chapter 2

"Tavia, you were so good just now."
"for once i agree with Bernice, you left him really nothing to say. By the way, did he take any advantage of you?" Bosco enquired concernedly.
"Oh please Bosco, haven't you realise what kind of person Tavia is? Will she ever get herself be at the losing end? Will she ever not fight for justice?"
"That's true. Just like what happened to ron..."
Tavia froze in her steps and her eyes flashed in anger.
Bernice stopped in her tracks too and hit Bosco on his arms.
"Taboo taboo taboo. How many times must i tell you?"Bernice scolded Bosco.
"Opps! Tav, i didnt mean to say his name. I am really sorry."
Tav regained her composure and told Bosco it is okay.
But deep down in her heart, she knows she is not okay.
That incident affected her so much...
"Tavia!"
She broke her string of thoughts and turned back to face them.
"Are you okay?"
Tavia looked at the guilty Bosco and smiled to assure him.
"Course i am okay. Come on, we are late."
She refrained from looking at Bernice because she's sure to know she is not alright.
By the time they reached the lecture room and settled down, the three of them were already engrossed in the subjects they will be taking.

Ray entered the lecture room nonchalently, knowing that many eyes had rest upon him.
"It's him, Raymond Lam. Hee, so handsome."
Tavia's head turned and saw that jerk. It must be down on my luck to be in the same class as him.
And he is that raymond lam. Bad taste my classmates have.
"OMG, it is him, tav. that guy is raymond lam." Bernice tugged at Tav's sleeves and exclaimed.
"I know bernice, so?
Bernice ignored her and turned to Bosco, tugging his sleeves.
"Bos, it's him. No wonder he has such an aura when i saw him just now. Do you think he noticed me?
Tavia rolled her eyes while Bosco attempted to push away Bernice's hands, "he will if you continue to do that. Bernice stop it. Guys like girls who are demure, not like you.
"It's right. Bos, you are right. Guys like girls who are demure. I shall be then." Bernice said triumphantly, giving a sweet smile.
"Bos, now you got her started, she wont end it."Tavia gave a resigned sigh.

Ray walked down the aisle. Scaning the people in the room, his eyes finally rested upon Tavia.
It's her. such a coincidence.
Ray walked over to Tavia and asked, "may i have the seat beside you?"
"I'am not sure about that. you see, i dont own it. You may have to ask the school management." Tavia replied in a mocked tone.
Ray smiled and sat down.
"Hi, i am Bernice, he is Bosco and she is Tavia. Bernice smiled sweetly.
"Bernice, didnt i tell you not to talk to strangers?" Tav gave a threatening look.
"Well, we wont be now. I am Ray. Nice to have a formal introduction after that trival misunderstanding this morning.
Tav looked at Ray. Why is he so polite? That is so unlike the morning him.
Ray himself felt weird. Why is he so polite? Normally ppl will approach him but him approaching ppl, this gotta be the first. He just felt so drawn to Tavia.

The professor walked in and hushed the class down and followed by a long introduction and lecture.

After a week past, Tav seems to change her opinion of Ray. He doesnt seem so much of a brat. and he is somewhat like Bosco. Amiable and humorous. Even she cant resist the temptation to laugh sometmes. But she definitely cant resist the temptation to bicker with him.
Ray, on the other hand, seems to be more interested in Tav. He dont know whether their friendship is purely platonic or there is something more to it but he definitely enjoyed her presence in the clique.
Bosco on the other hand was begining to be worried of Tav and Ray. They seem closer as everday past.

"Bernice, you are supposed to help me to woo Tav."
"Well Bos, even though you are my good friends, i cant compromise Tav's happiness. both of us are best friends. I cant do this you know."
"alright. One week of homework and essays and unlimited ice-cream at Ben and Jerry.
Bernice's eyes flickered with excitment. "No Bos, say no more. I wont betray my friend. I am not such a person." Bernice smiled secretively.
"Alright my last offer, take it or leave it. Two weeks of homework and essays and unlimited ice-cream."
Bernice laughed triumphantly, "and throw in two buffet treats. Deal."
"Bernice, i cant believe it. What kind of friend are you?"
"A good friend and a very good one. I am helping you and Tav. This concerns your lifelong happiness. you ought to give me a treat when u successfully courted her. But wait, let me remind you, Tav may still be thinking of him."
"Him? But that happened so long ago. I though she put that down already. I tot Ray is a threat to me."
"Guys! superfical as always. I am a gal, who is pretty and cute and most importantly, sensitive. I know what she wants. besides, she hates Ray"
"Alright. Pretty, cute and sensitive bernice, do i have a chance then?
This got Bernice tot for a while, "I dont know. Tav seems to be quite okay now. You can give it a try. Dont worry, your ice-cream and buffet wont go to waste. I will help you."
Bosco gave Bernice a friendly hug, "thanks buddy."

Fate has begin to work its way through the two couples but will fate sustain the progress of their relationship?
Sometimes, fate is not the only factor in a relationship and you have to go against fate to be the ultimate winner.

Personally, i like of like Bobe. and the three of them are good friends in real life. That' reason why i choose them as the supporting cast. I will try to generate more time to Bobe rather than making them as extras. Ron will not appear that early and sad to say, his screentime will be little.
