Tavia and Ray were holding hands walking around their school's park. Both of them have been together for less than an hour but they felt that it is already forever.
"why so quiet?"
Tavia looked at Ray and smiled, "i am thinking of all our past memories."
"so fast thinking of me already?"
"Says who? i am not thinking of you."
"Then? thinking of other guys? who?"
"Jealous ar? if you really do mind about me, then care more for me."
"Care? My dearest Tavia, haven't i care for you enough?"
Tavia looked at him and smiled sweetly. Ray is indeed the best bf one could have. there is basically nothing more to ask for.
"Dont get too conceited."
Ray cant help but burst out laughing. Tavia has always been so headstrong but he has got used to it.
"what are you laughing at?" Tavia nudged him.
"Nothing."
"you are laughing at me right?"
"course not. i dont dare to laugh at my dearest princess."
Tavia blushed. Nobody has ever called her his dearest princess, not even Chris. and she knows Ray mean it.
"Wow, so mushy ar"
Bernice and Bosco appeared in front of them.
"Bos, you never call me dearest princess before."
"Bernice, it is too mushy. i cant say it out." Bosco tried to suppress his laughter.
Ray and tav just looked at each other in awkwardness.
"Hey, must you make a dig at us?" Tavia told them while ray stood there uncomfortably. He doesnt know if Bernice is still angry with him.
Tavia squeezed Ray's hand tightly. "Bernice is not angry with you, dont worry."
"Ya, i am not angry with you. i am not that petty."
"Ray, you must thank your lucky stars. I as her boyfriend dont even get such priviledges."
Bernice flashed Bos a threatening glare, "Are you saying that i am very petty? dont forget you haven't pass the probation test yet."
Bosco wrapped his hand around Bernice. "I didnt imply that. just saying my girlfriend is very forgiving, generous, pretty, kind..."
"Stop it pls, i seriously cant take it." Tavia cried out loud for help.
Bernice and Bosco then replied in unison, "So our dearest princess cant take it?"
"Tease me again! i will get you for that."
Ray just stood there and laughed. all the problems have been solved. it is just great that he gets to retain his friendship with bernice and bosco and he is together with tavia. But he forgot Ron. Sigh. Tavia still haven't forgive ron. it might affect their relationship if this goes on.
"Hey, why are you standing there dazed for ?
"Nothing."
Tavia took his hand, "I want to bring you somewhere."
Tavia brought Ray to a graveyard. She wanted him to meet Chris, another important person in her life. She wants Chris to know that she is ready to move on and embrace another new life. She hope Chris can give them blessings.
"Why did you bring me here? oh, to see Chris?"
Taiva nodded her head. "I want you to meet him."
They were walking to his tombstone when tavia suddenly stopped in her tracks.
Ray looked over and saw ron at Chris's tombstone.
Tav walked over angrily. "What are you doing here? didnt i say you are not come here anymore?"
"I... i just want to pay my respects to Chris."
"Are you fit to? murderer!"
Ray pulled tav back.
"dont pull me. am i not right? he killed Chris. he is not fit to pay his respects."
Ron looked down and suddenly he kneeled down.
Both Tavia and Ray were shocked.
"I am sorry Tav. i know whatever i do i cant seek your forgiveness. i didnt mean to cause chris's death. he is my good friend. I didnt want to ruin this friendship, i didnt want to cause you so much pain too. I wish everything can go back to where we started. If i can die in Chris's place, i will gladly do so. but i dont have this chance. I am sorry tav. i am really sorry."
Ron was already crying when he said that. Tav just stood there, she knew that ron doesn't mean it but she cant help but hate him. Whenever she thinks of Chris, she cant help but want Ron to suffer too.
Ron just got up. "I am sorry Tav, for pulling ray down with me. he has done nothing wrong, it is all my idea. if there is anything that he is wrong in, is befriending someone like me." With that, he left.
"Why do you have to do this? why cant you let go of the past? Ron doesnt wish to cause chris's death. he has paid for his crime. you have hated him for three years. he lost his friends, buddies, freedom all because of that incident and he is remorseful. why cant you forgive him?
"Are you standing on his side? against me?"
"I am only standing on the side of fairness. Why do you want to cause yourself so much misery? do you know i am in great misery too caught in between you two? it hurts me so much to see you like that."
Tavia know deep in her heart, ray is sandwitched in between. she felt so bad towards him.
"I am sorry, i didnt mean to."
"Tav, i know i asked you this question before. but if chris were her, what will he say?"
Tavia looked at Ray.
Flashback
"Dont hate ron"
End of Flashback
That was his dying words, his dying wishes. Even chris can dont hate ron, why cant she?
"i wont force you to make a decision now. you think about it."
Few days have past and tav haven't been sleeping well. Ron is constantly on her mind. ron was once a very proud person. kneeling down would be something he will never do. but he did it because he felt guilty. Should i forgive him?
Tav looked at her phone and dailed ron's number.
hesitantly, he pressed the call button.
"Hello?"
Tavia struggled to speak.
"Ron."
Ron, on the other side was shocked but happy. tavia took the initiative to call him.
"Hi Tav."
"I just want to say i... am not angry with you anymore. Ray is right. chris would want me to forgive you as well."
Ron smiled with tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Thank you tav. thanks for making me feel so much better. i feel much at ease to leave now."
Tavia is confused, "Leave? to where?"
"I am leaving to join my parents in US. although you have forgiven me but i know things aren't the same anymore."
"Ron.. i.."
"It is not your fault. i decided to leave long ago. dont worry, it is just a short term arrangement. i will be back shortly."
Tavia losen her tension, at least it is not forever. "how long will you be gone for?"
"Dont know. probably a year? i hope that when i come back, we can be hang out together again."
Tavia smiled. "I think we can."
"We can? really?"
"Definitely. the five of us will be good friends.. forever."
"Thanks tav. thanks for forgiving me. i have to go now. i shall see you soon."
"Take care of yourself and come back soon."
"Bye"
"bye"
After putting down the phone, tavia felt very relieved. at least, she put down this heavy weight in her. They can be good friends again. things are going to be great again.
"Why are you smiling?"
"Ron has told me everything. i am just so happy."
"Happy?"
"for having such a considerate and generous girlfriend."
"of course. you mean you only realise it now?"
"i hope i am not too late."
"Never too late. there are much more things you dont know about me."
Ray smiled and hold her hands tightly.
"dont i deserve something for being so sweet and generous?"
"What?"
Tavia rolled her eyes. guys are just so insensitive.
Suddenly, ray just gave her a kiss on her lips when she turned her head.
Tavia blushed and smiled sweetly.
"Is this the reward you wanted?"
Tavia hit him playfully on his arms.
Ray took her hands and hold them tight.
"i promise not to let go of them from now on. your hands will be the only one i will hold."
Tavia nodded. "You say it so. better make it true. or else you will suffer."
"haha, havent i suffered enough on your hands?"
Tavia flashed a threatening glare to him. "Btw, where are bernice and bosco?"
"There they are. hey bernice, bosco!" Ray called out to them.
"Hey, you two are so late. we are going to be late for school."
Bosco teased bernice, "Like you never been late before."
"Hey! you aren't supposed to bully me."
Tavia shuddered, "Oh pls you two. so mushy."
"Cant be compared to you two."
Ray interrupted, "Hello, we are late for class. hmmm, let me see, the last one to reach will treat lunch later."
With that the four of them started speeding to their lecture hall.
