“Jenna, Ryan, I see someone to your left.” Devin warned.

Ryan moved his gun to the left “You got it?” he whispered, hands steady as he was ready to fire at any moment.

“Got it!” Jenna pushed the door open and the two slid inside just in the nick of time.

The thieves rounded the corner “I don’t see anyone do you?” one guy asked. The other guy shook his head “Let’s go back.”

“Where are we?” Jenna whispered inside the room. A tiny echo followed her voice.

“Somewhere hollow.” He pulled a glow stick from his pocket and cracked it in half as the liquid began to work it’s magic. He found thick wires shooting through the center of the room “We’re on top of the elevator.” He spun around towards Jenna with his eyes widened.

“No one.” The two guys reported to their leader.

He pointed his rifle at the innocent victims “You guys better pray that the cops will follow our orders or we’re taking you with us!” he threatened.

Suddenly one of the thieves waved him over “Look.” He pointed outside the window “Helicopter.”

“They’re quick.” The leader snickered “Let’s get to the roof. Take them with us.” He pointed to the hostages, who were tied together at the hands in one long line. They looked more like prisoners. When they reached the top of the building, the helicopter was slowly lowering, it’s propellers spinning viciously as the people ducked from the flying dust. The man in charged pointed his gun again “Get on the floor!” he cried to the victims.

The group slowly obliged as they lied face down in a long line while he waved his four men into the helicopter. He jumped on last while turning to make sure none of the people moved yet “Where’s the money?” one guy noticed.

Mia held onto the fake briefcase “You’ll get it when we land.” She said firmly.

“I want to see it.” The leader nodded, his fingers tracing the trigger.

Mia threw a glance at Erin at the corner of her eyes “Go ahead, we have nothing to hide.” Erin said without tearing her eyes from the sky. She moved the plane over the ocean at the target Devin advised to stay above.

She slowly handed over the briefcase as the guy opened it hurriedly. His eyes brightened at the stacks of gold bills on his lap “Ten million…” one guy breathed.

The leader picked up a stack as he fanned it over his face, suddenly his eyes caught something out of the ordinary “Wait…” he pulled the center stack from the rubberband “This is paper!!” he roared angrily.

“NOW!” Erin cried as she pushed the button into auto pilot in place and pounced back to help Mia, who was wrestling with the leader. He was gaining control of his rifle. From their fighting, the helicopter began to rock back and forth. Reina punched a guy unconscious as she reached for his gun only to have a gun pointed to her head. Erin rolled against the ground away from one guy as she kicked the gun pointing to Reina’s head away. Smiling at her friend, she nodded “Your welcome.”

“Help!” Mia rolled towards the exit with the leader on top of her. Each hand was gripped onto the riffle. He banged her against the floor and rolled to be underneath her. He was about to kick her over his head when she felt two pair of hands holding onto her legs. She was tugged back and forth and felt her arm and legs weakening “I’m not made of taffy!!”

“Come on!” Matt cried to the hostages as he pushed them towards the elevator.

The people got up simultaneously as they marched into the elevator “Are we going to die?” a feeble girl asked with tears in her eyes “I heard they have bombs hidden all over the top floor.”

“Don’t worry, we’re taking care of it.” Darren promised. He tapped his ear to get in touch with the others “Sagittarius, Aries, where are you?”

“Above you.” Ryan replied as he slid the top opening “We’ve been stuck in here. There’s no way out.” The people gasped when they saw a head peaking inside.

“They’re with us.” Carmen coaxed, calming them down “How did you get up there?”

Jenna shook her head “We thought it was the electrical room. Uncle Devin said there was propane in this room.” Ryan looked around and something caught his eye. Tapping Jenna on the shoulder, he pointed with an exasperated look “Apparently, he was right.” Jenna confirmed as the group began to squirm fearfully “Stop moving!” Jenna ordered, “You’ll trigger the bomb.

“How many floors to go?” Ryan asked.

Matt looked at the numbers moving fast “67…can you do it in one minute?”

“I’ll try.” Jenna knelt over the black case with red numbers decreasing. Ryan nodded at Matt with confidence as he stepped around the cables to help Jenna open the box.

Reina and Erin turned to each other as they decided in unison to let go of Mia’s leg. She sprung towards the exit like a yoyo as she rolled over the leader dangling only with her hands on the rifle that was attached to the guy’s shoulder “I said help, not let go!!” Mia cried as she held on for dear life.

Erin pulled a black box and stamped it onto the wall of the helicopter. Punching in a code, she turned to Reina and nodded. The girls moved fast towards the exit but the leader was on to their plan as he stopped them with his legs. Reina quickly controlled his legs as she looked at Erin “Go first!”

“Where are we going?!” Mia cried, her eyes moving towards the water below “Oh God…I’m going to be sick. I hate flying!”

Erin climbed down and held one hand to the rifle and one hand reaching up at Reina “Come on.”

Reina glanced at the planted bomb, they only had two minutes left. She let go of his legs in a flash and cried as she leaped out of the plane “Meet you girls down….”

“Mia.” Erin reached for her hand.

“I know…” Mia groaned as she closed her eyes and let go at the same time as Erin. They came diving head first towards the water. Seconds before they hit the water, the parachutes erupted and pulled the girls up a few feet. The helicopter exploded in mid air causing a rain of debris flying at hundreds of miles an hour. A few hit their chutes and caused them to move faster towards the water “AHHH!!!!!” Mia cried before hitting the cold water.

Reina and Erin bobbed their heads up and spun around looking for their third teammate when they found her scrambling underneath her parachute which was still attached to her. They laughed while swimming under to pull Mia into the water. Reina unlatched her backpack while Erin pointed behind them. The helicopter had fallen not too far from them, they had to move away.

“Scorpio answer me.” Devin waited for her reply after he heard the cries.

Erin reached for the debris left behind from the plane while Reina and Mia floated with her “We’re good.”

“Speak for yourself. I almost died.” Mia said with sarcasm.

Reina laughed “Just another fun day with the girls. How are the rest doing?”

Matt glanced at the floors decreasing “Not too good…half a minute away from becoming dirt.” He whispered. His eyes wandered to the hole but there was no movement from the other two.

“Are we going to make it?” a female asked.

“Yes.” Carmen replied with confidence. Matt threw her a grateful glance eventhough he knew there was a good chance they would die.

“Jenna, just pick one.” Ryan hissed. His eyes moved down and caught Darren’s stare.

“Patience.” Jenna replied.

“We don’t have patience.” He gritted his teeth in response.

She was certain it was the blue wire. Pulling out her handy mini knife, she cut it without a second thought. The time on the bomb froze at 23 seconds. Ryan sighed with relief as he threw Matt a thumbs up sign “Still got it.” Jenna said smugly.

“Now you gotta find the other three.” Devin too let out a sigh of relief. He glanced at Bonnie who was busy coloring her Disney cartoon book “How are you doing, kid?”

“Almost done!” she said excitedly while showing him her nearly completed picture of Mickey and Minnie “This one is for you.” She pointed.

Devin smiled “I’ll pin it up on my refrigerator.”

“Aww, how cute!” Mia gushed but rolled her eyes in disgust “Stop trying to buy over my daughter, it’s not going to work.” She scolded.

“How was the dive, Mia?” Devin knew exactly where to poke at her weak spot.

“It was horrible!” she recalled with quivering lips “And these girls, all they did was push me down with them. No one bothered to help me.” She claimed.

Erin and Reina laughed at their pathetic teammate “Here’s someone to help you.” Reina nodded to a speedboat coming towards them fast.

“Need a ride girls?” Ted and an associate smiled as they helped the girls up.

“Me first!” Mia practically pushed her girls away as she reached out for Ted’s hand. She climbed on the boat soaked in sea water “I hate the water.” She groaned at the same time wringing out her shirt.

“Dear, you hate anything that doesn’t make you look rich.” Erin reminded her friend as she seated herself next to her.

Reina climbed on last “It’s a good thing Devin called you to pick us up.” She smiled at Ted gratefully.

“Actually, he didn’t call me.” Ted shook his head with a secret grin.

“You have ESPN?” Mia asked.

“That’s a sports channel!” Darren shook his head “How many times do I have to tell you? ESP.” he corrected while leading the victims outside the building. The policemen came quick to lead them away.

“Mia and sports just don’t match.” Ryan added.

“Mia and anything don’t match.” Carmen chimed in with a laugh.

Mia narrowed her eyes at them as they sped towards the dock “Is it pick on Mia day?”

“No, that’s for Doug to decide.” Jenna grinned as she turned to Ryan and exit the elevator on the top floor “Okay, Uncle…which way?”

“Left.” He guided them to the last bombs as she decode them with ease. But a question continued to trail his thoughts “Hey Erin, ask Ted who told him to come help you guys?”

“Girls.” Mia corrected.

Erin stood up as she held onto the rail and pat Ted on the shoulder “Devin wants to know who asked you to come get us.”

“Sorry, boss’s orders. I can’t say.” He shrugged.

“You heard him.” Erin braced herself for the stop as they docked the harbor and the girls were the first to get off.

“Boss? Hmm…who could be Ted’s boss?” Mia tapped her chin playfully “Could it be the handsome Commander in Chief we saw this morning?”

Matt laughed at her response “That’s a first. Usually Mia is the last to guess anything right.”

“Not when it comes to men. Especially handsome men.” Reina added.

Devin’s frown grew as he too had guessed it was Daniel “Uncle Devin, I’m finished.” Bonnie ripped the page out crookedly but she was the last to notice “This is for you.”

At the sound of her voice, his face relaxed “Thanks sweetie. It’s beautiful.” He folded and placed it in his pocket with care. "Are you ready to see mommy and daddy?” he knelt down in front of her.

“Um…maybe later.” Bonnie chuckled.

Mia gasped while she heard Darren’s shrill laughter “Shut up. You’re daddy remember?”
