As Qiao En and Hua looked at them from a distance, the two brothers stood, facing each other, not a word was exchanged. Until Qiao En tried to speak.
"W-"
"Qiao En, stay out of this." Wei said, holding up his hand to stop her. Qiao En nodded and stepped back.
"Joe. How long have you been out?"
"5 years." Shuwei replied, not looking into Wei's eyes.
"5 years? And why didn't you come find me?"
"I... I was afraid you & mom would be ashamed of me and would look down on me if I went back... So..."
"So you'd rather not see us again?" Wei stared at Shuwei coldly.
Shuwei nodded. "How... How's mom?"
"She's gone."
"Mom's gone?!" Shuwei's hands flew to Shanwei's arm and started shaking him. "Mom... is gone?"
"Yes. And get your hands off me."
"Oh. Sorry." Shuwei stared hard on the ground, his fists clenched white. "I'm sorry."
"It's too late, she had passed away 3 years ago."
"Shit. Dammit." Shuwei muttered. "I'm sorry Sam. I..."
"Just shut up and get lost. I never want to see you again." Wei raised his left hand and pointed away. "GO."
"Sam! Please! Please, bro, forgive me! I know it's wrong of me to do that! Please, Sam! You don't know how much I miss you and mom!" Shuwei pleaded with Wei, who was then facing the other side.
"Joe. Go before I change my mind."
From afar, Hua and Qiao En looked at each other. Hua had already seen the sparkle of tears in Shuwei's eyes.

Xuan looked at the phone, longing for it to ring. Longing for Lun to call her. But she knew it was impossible. If only she had more trust in the truth. Even if the truth was cruel.

"Sam, I beg of you, please." Shuwei dropped to his knees in front of Wei. Wei's eyes widened in surprize initially but he still wouldn't budge.
Wei sighed. "Joe, it's too late now. Nothing you say now can change anything. Go away, Joe. Go to the home you have now. You... You don't need me anymore."
"No! Sam! I need you! You're my brother! And you'll always be! I missed you more than I miss mom in the past few years. Do you know how it feels to be away from someone you love so much? Do you know how it feels to have someone you love so much to hate you?" Shuwei bit his lips in vain and realized that his tears had already released themselves. "Sam? Please forgive me?"
Wei's heart was starting to give way. He could almost feel it softening. But he knew he couldn't just accept Shuwei so easily. "Joe, look. If you want me to forgive you, you gotta give me some time. I need some time to think."
Wei said all he had to then he turned and left, only saying "Bye." softly to Qiao En as he passed her. Qiao En looked at Hua and Shuwei then she turned and followed after Wei. "En!" Hua called to her but she just waved back.
Hua then ran to Shuwei and pulled him back up on his feet. "Wei, you okay?" Shuwei nodded.

"Shanwei! Wait for me!" Qiao En shouted to Wei who was several meters faster than her.
Wei slowed down a little, but continued walking. Qiao En caught up with him.
"Shanwei? Are you okay?"
Wei nodded, avoiding her eyes. Qiao En accepted his answer and did not speak anymore as she followed him all the way to his home.
"Qiao En. You can go home now..." Wei said absent-mindedly, trying to close the door.
Qiao En placed her hand on the door to stop it from closing. Then she went into his house, uninvited, and closed the door. "Er... Can I call you Wei for short?"
"Yeah." Wei replied as he slumped into the sofa. Qiao En sat beside him.
"Look, Wei. I know you are really confused now... But can I help? In any way?"
Wei sighed. Then he looked up, into Qiao En's eyes. Full of care, concern... Love. And his tears flowed.
"Can I call you En then?" She nodded.
"En... I... You know, I.. I.. Used to have a.. Crush on you." En looked shocked. "I mean! I mean, in the past... But one day I saw that girl.. Your sister, in the park and... I fell in love with her. I don't know if it's just plain silly infatuation or true love but I'm pretty obsessed with her. That guy just now. He's my twin brother. I'm just minutes older than him. He was released... 5 years ago. In the past, we used to fight over everything. Including girls. Everyone that I liked, he had to get to them before me each time. Even now. Now he's got your sister.."
Wei paused, still crying.
"Hush now, Wei... Don't cry... You'll find another girl you love even more..."
Wei wiped away his tears almost immediately. "You're right. I'm a man. I shouldn't cry. Nan zi han liu xue bu liu lei (translation: man would rather bleed than cry..)..." Wei said. "But my brother..."
"Your brother is sorry for what he's done.. But it's up to you to forgive him or not.." En stopped for a moment and looked around. "As for the matter about me... To be frank about this, I used to have a crush on you too... In fact... I... I still have it now." En's face was hot as she blushed bright pink. She stared down on the cushion she was holding on to and started fingering its ends.
Wei looked at En in surprize. "Shit. If only I had the courage to tell you earlier."
"Nothing's too late, Wei."
