"Tavia! How are you?" asked Myolie cheerfully as she took a seat beside Tavia. Michelle arrived just after Myolie and the three young ladies started catching up with each other.
"Carly love the presents you gave her, I thank you on her behalf," Tavia said happily as Myolie and Michelle looked through the menu.
Myolie winked, "No problem, I'm glad she like the present." She dug into her handbag and took out a compact mirror, applying another layer of lipstick.
Michelle grinned and hooked her long curly hair behind her ears, "Anything for my darling God Daughter."
"So how have you girls been? How bout the guys?" asked Tavia, feeling a little paranoid about Ron's words.
Myolie replied casually, "I don't know about Bosco. I'm fine, just really busy with work."
"Ray and I are doing fine, thanks. Hows Ron? Still the same old guy?" asked Michelle curiously. She wasn't lying, her relationship with Raymond was as solid as the diamond ring which he used to proposed to her that night. Just that, she wasn't keen to put it on anytime now.
Tavia frowned, "I think hes getting quite weird lately. Been coming home really late sometimes. I'm guessing hes having an affair."
Myolie's eyes shot open, "You serious? I'll go bash him up for you. That jerk..."
Tavia cut in before Myolie could go on with her violent plan, "No no I'm just guessing. He can't be having another woman outside."
"How can he bear to cheat on you? That poor guy had a hard time chasing you in High School!" added Michelle as the girls broke out into laughter.
"Thinking back to those days, we were the three school bells. All the guys used to go crazy over us," Myolie continued as she recalled about their High School days.
Michelle giggled, "Correction. The guys used to go crazy over you, Myolie."
Myolie rolled her eyes, "Oh come on, Raymond was crazy over you from the start. He didn't care about me. The only time he hang around me was to ask me for your number!"
"And you gave it to him. I was mad with you for three days remember?"
"If not for me, maybe you won't be in a great relationship for seven years," Myolie added seriously as Michelle's smile faded.
Tavia looked at Michelle, "Is there anything wrong between you and Raymond?"
Michelle shook her head gently, "Its just that, I feel like I have let him down. He proposed again when I stayed over at his house, that night after the party."
"You said no, didn't you? Its the tenth time, right?" asked Myolie as Michelle gave a long sigh.
Tavia reached out and held Michelle's hand, "Its ok, I understand if you're not ready for marriage. But as a married woman and mother, I can promise you that the joy of having your own family is priceless."
Michelle buried her face in her hands, "Its just, I can't forget..."
Tavia cut her off quickly, "Don't think about it again. How come you never told Raymond about this?"
"I... Its a problem I have to deal with. Its been so many years, but I still can't get over it," Michelle continued as a tear rolled down her cheek.
Myolie handed her a perfumed tissue, "Don't think about that unfortunate incident again."
"Myolie, is there anything wrong between you and Bosco? You seem to be treating that poor guy quite badly," asked Tavia, concerned about her friend's relationship.
Myolie laughed, "Theres nothing wrong, honestly. But I'm just having second thoughts."
Tavia exclaimed, "After all these years together? Seconds thoughts?"
"Its just, I can't accept the fact that he is too conservative and not passionate enough."
"What do you mean?" asked Michelle after her tears had dried up.
Myolie rolled her eyes, "Did you know that after all these years together, we haven't even shared a french kiss, let alone slept together!"
"Does such a guy still exist till this day?" Michelle asked with doubt.
"I don't know. But I'm not happy with him anymore. What I'm looking for is a passionate lover, not a guy who believes in no intimacy till marriage!" Myolie complained as her friends shook their heads.
Tavia adviced, "I guess you'll just have to respect him or else theres nothing else you can do."
Myolie sighed, "What did I do to deserve a loser like Bosco? I'm envious of you two with your passionate husband and boyfriend."
Michelle lift her eyebrow, "Did you just tell us that you are still a virgin?" Tavia looked strangely at Myolie and broke out into laughter.
Myolie pouted and placed her hands on her hips angrily, "Its not funny! And don't tell this to anyone!"
The girls continued to have their chat and finally parted when evening came. Tavia had to rush home to cook for Ron and Carly, while Michelle had a date with Raymond.
"Now I'm left all alone!" said Myolie in desperation as Tavia and Michelle strolled away.
Myolie looked at her cellphone and decided to call Bosco.
"Bosco, are you free? Can you come out and meet me?" asked Myolie as she rolled her eyes.
