“Rule?” Tavia Yeung asked Ron Ng for the second time.
Ron had only met this girl for 45 minutes and already he doesn’t like her at all. She look like those rich ass girls that does nothing but ask daddy and mommy for money. “First thing first… no guest in the house.” he said.
“No guest?” She asked. “I have a lot of friends that wants to hang out with me.”
“Doesn’t matter, I don’t want to see anyone here.” He said. “Rule number 2, you clean after you cook.” He said.
“Oo don’t worry about that I wont cook.” She smiled. “So there’s no need to worry. I always eat out.”
He didn’t seen to care just as long as she doesn’t make a mess then he’s happy. “Rule number 3, I don’t want to see any cigarette butts or any alcohol.”
She raised her hands. “I don’t smoke so don’t worry and alcohol… I do drink a little wine but I don’t buy it myself… my friends and I would go out to rich places and drink it there.” She added a smile.
“Don’t really care about what you and your friend does.” He looked away. “Rule 4, can’t play loud music and jump around in the house. If you want to sing Karaoke or anything please don’t do it here.” He said.
“Well first of all, you don’t want me to have guest here so of course I am not going to sing Karaoke all by myself.” She slaps her fingers. “Do you know how stupid that would look?” She asked.
“No jumping or running around in the house. That means no exercising. You can always exercising down at the park just not in the house. Not only I will complain the family living below us will complain. Got that?” He asked.
“I go to the gym all the time so I wont need to run around in the house.” She said.
What a rich girl… going to the gym… Ron had never been to the gyms just because the member fees are so expensive. “Ok good then. Rule number 5, must and this is a MUST don’t let the water run and please turn off the lights when you are not in the room and when its bright outside. Just because you don’t need to pay for that doesn’t mean you can let the water run and let the light be on.”
“I… can I leave the light on when I sleep? Because I can’t sleep good without the light.” She smiled.
“No.” He said.
“Please I am scared the bed bugs will bite!” She laughed.
“I am not kidding about this rule!” He said.
“Ok ok I know I was just kidding about that.” She laughed.
“Number 6.…” He couldn’t think of it. “Number 6... Pay rent on time.” He said.
“I will… when I get a job.” she said softly.
“Get a job?” he asked. “What does that mean? don’t tell me you don’t have a job.” he almost got an heart attack. “Miss Eileen told me that you work at the…”
“I quit last night.” She said. “So right now I am jobless.” she smiled.
“I don’t get why are you even smiling.” He shook his head. “Well I don’t care if you have a job or not but I just want you to pay on time. So this month’s rent please. Ooo you need to put in at least a month for the deposit.” He said.
She made an ops and then looked away from Ron.
“What was that?” Ron asked.
“I just have enough for this month’s rent.” She said. “I spend the rest on my new LV bag.” she added as she shows Ron the bag.
He didn’t care about the bag but that bag look so simple.. Why is that bag so expensive?
“Please give me some time I will get the money to you very soon.” She said.
“You look like a rich man’s daughter, cant you go ask him for money?” He asked.
“My dad passed away two months ago.” She said sadly.
He understood her… his mother just passed away not long too. “ok then I will give you one week if not you really need to go.” He finishes as he walked into his room.
6 DAYS LATER………………..
Ron had been living with this girl Tavia and the longer he lives with her the more he wants her out.
He hardly sees this girl. He doesn’t even know how she looked like not. He leaves work early in the morning and she’s still sleeping. When he comes home from work, she’s gone out partying he guessed. Towards midnight or even later then that, he would heard the keys trying to fix into the apartment door. Why is she home so late? He always wonders. She would slammed the door and then runs into her room.
He needs to have a talk with her tonight!
He waited in the living room, its almost 1 am…
2AM
He heard Tavia’s heels at the door, he listened as she tries to fit each and every key into the hole. After a while of her struggle at the door, he got up to open the door for her because he didn’t want to wake up other people who lived in the next door. The door opened, he watches as Tavia smiled … she was drunk.
She walked into the apartment with a bottle of glass wine… she laughed and smiled as she runs towards her room without opening any lights… he followed her after he closes the door… he heard her crying on her bed. He watched as she cried on her bed. He walked towards her and grabs the wine away from her hand.
“Let go off my wine!” She yelled and kicked off her heels.
“Give me that!” He took the wine and placed on the table away from her.
“Hey! Why are you stealing my wine?” She cries. “Why is everyone stealing my things?”
“Tavia… you broke the rules… you have to go.” He said.
“Just because I took home a wine?” She cries…
He walked over to open the light… “TAVIA, I cant have you here anymore… I rent this room out because I need someone to help me pay the bills I can’t have you here if you arent going to find a job.” he walked toward her.
“Ron please!” Tavia got up and grabs Ron and cries on his shoulders. “Please don’t kick me out… I have no where to go.” She cries.
“You have a lot of friends I can see why cant you go to them?” He asked.
“They are all bitches and assholes!” She said. “They don’t care about me… they only hang out with me because I am rich! Now they know my dad didn’t leave me anything valuable none of them wants to hang out with me…EVEN my uncles and aunts! My dad helped them soo much when they needed help before now they don’t even want to see me!” She cried.
“Tavia, I cant help you… why don’t you look for Miss Eileen…I really cant have you here anymore…” He pats her on her back…
For the rest of the night… Tavia didn’t let go of Ron… and he didn’t back away too…
