Niki and Vicki walked out of the Diva Salon and Spa feeling refreshed. Niki gazed at her new french manicure and smiled from ear to ear. Her skin was glowing radiantly since she just got a mud bath and facial. Vicki just settled for a massage and a pedicure so she was feeling revived and full of energy again. They walked across the street towards a bus stop since Vicki�s car was in the shop and Niki didn�t feel like driving.
Niki glanced over at a movie poster hanging outside a building and blurted out in a thrilled tone, �Hey! �The Skeleton Key� is out, lets go watch it! We have lots of time.�
Vicki stared at Niki like she just committed a deadly sin. �Are you kidding me? You know I hate horror flicks. Besides, the last time YOU watched a scary movie, you had to sleep with the light on for a week.�
Niki looked at Vicki and exclaimed embarrassingly, �How did you know! That happened back in New York�
�Hello!? Earth to Niki, Michelle told me. She did live with you in NYC, remember?� It was actually pretty funny when Michelle told Vicki and Jessica about that. They all laughed for days.
�I�m gonna kill Michelle when I get home. Plus, it wasn�t my fault! �The Grudge� was freaky!� Niki was screaming her head off and everyone on the street was staring at her like she was nuts. �But I wont get scared in this movie. Promise,� Niki said in a softer tone, trying to draw attention away from herself.
�But I might get scared,� Vicki said reminding Niki of her own fears.
�I�ll let you borrow my new Prada bag!� Niki could see her sister�s eyes light up as soon as she mentioned the magic words-Prada.
�Fine, but you�re paying,� Vicki sighed as she thought about the cute bag that was going to be hers, even if only for a week.
The bus arrived and the two girls climbed aboard. On the bus, all the guys were admiring the two beauties that just boarded and moved over to make a seat for them. Being pretty can guarantee you a seat on the bus.

�Hey Bosco, aren�t you coming with me and Kev to the movies tonight?� Alec was speaking on his cell while looking for a parking spot at the Cineplex Odeon, underground parkade. Kevin was sitting in the passenger seat and his face was white and petrified. Alec almost mauled a pedestrian with his reckless driving. Talking on the cell didn�t help much either.
�What! Are you kidding?.....You Bastard.....You�re ditching us?.....Ha, my ass you have to help Ron unpack. You�re just to cheap to pay for a movie!� Alec angrily pressed on the �End� button and yanked off his earphones.
�So I guess it�s just me and you, huh?� Kevin said as Alec slammed on the breaks before hitting a car that was backing out a couple feet away. Kevin felt like his heart was gonna stop beating due to fear.
�I know, I know. It seems kinda fruity, two guys going the movies alone. But I really wanna see this movie. At least it�s not two guys going to see a chick flick,� Alec said as he pulled into an empty spot.
Kevin got out of the car feeling relieved. He hated it when Alec drives, but he keeps on insisting he does. Both men walked into the movie theatre to find it jammed packed with people.

Vicki and Niki walked from the bus stop to the Cineplex Odeon, which was only a block down. When they got inside, the line up at the box office was almost a block long.
�You and your great ideas,� Vicki groaned, glaring at Niki. They got in the back of the line.
�Hey, that means the movie is gonna be good,� Niki defended.
They were too wrapped up in their argument so they didn�t realize that the people, they were thinking about all weekend, was right behind them.
Kevin and Alec were also too occupied with being afraid of looking like they were two gay men on a date, so they didn�t notice Niki and Vicki standing in front of them.
�Hey guy, if its our turn before I come out, pay for my ticket too and I�ll pay you back later. I gotta go the washroom.� After those words, Kevin quickly jogged towards the men�s room before Alec could react.
�Stupid loser. Just wants me to pay for his ticket,� Alec growled as he waited in line by himself.
After about twenty minutes in line, it was finally the girl�s turn to purchase a ticket.
�Two tickets to �The Skeleton Key, please,� Niki said happily.
�That�ll be twenty five dollars for the both of you,� a teenage girl working in the box office said.
Niki rummaged through her purse. Her stomach quickly tied into a knot as she let out a small whisper of fear, �Oh no, I spent all my cash today at the spa and all my credit cards are at home!�
Vicki stared at Niki in disbelief and yelled, �You idiot! I didn�t bring my credit cards either!�
The teenage girl was looking impatient and started tapping her long, red nails on the surface of the counter.
Alec immediately recognized Vicki�s sweet voice. He got that wonderful butterfly feeling in his stomach once again. �I�ll pay for their tickets, and one more for me too,� Alec said as he pushed his way in between Vicki and Niki.
Vicki was surprised to see Alec, but she was very ecstatic. Her heart was beating extra fast and her face was turning bright red.
�Oh, and can I have another ticket too, please,� Alec frowned as he handed the girl the money. Kevin has been in the men�s room for a while now.
Vicki could feel her stomach sink in disappointment after she heard Alec purchasing another ticket. She thought to herself, �Was he here with another girl?�
Niki pulled Vicki to one side and whispered, �So who�s this cutie? Why�s he being so nice and paying for us?�
Vicki rolled her eyes and said, annoyed, �Don�t get any ideas, he�s just a friend at work. And I think he�s here on a date with someone.�
�Ya right, if he�s just a friend why does he keep grinning at you and now he's paying for our tickets?� Niki was interrupted when Alec walked up behind them.
�Hey, I didn�t know you girls were into scary movies,� Alec said as he looked towards Vicki and Niki. �By the way my name is Alec,� he said shaking hands with Niki. She was introducing herself at the same time.
�Niki? That�s a nice name. And judging by your good looks, I bet you girls are sisters?� Niki blushed at Alec�s comment and nodded. He was a sweet talker indeed.
�Come on Niki, we better be going. I think Alec has to meet up with his date,� Vicki said dully as she grabbed Niki�s shoulders. She didn�t want to be the third wheel. But counting Niki, they would be considered the fourth wheel.
�No, no, no, I�m not on a date. I�m just waiting for a buddy. He�s using the MEN�S room right now,� Alec said loudly, emphasizing the word �men,� trying to clear his name. He could tell Vicki was jealous and he loved that feeling. It showed signs that she cared about him. On her face, Vicki showed no trace of emotions, but deep down inside, happiness has swept throughout her body. Even her toes were tingly. Niki could sense something going on between her sister and this Alec guy, so she strutted over to the refreshment counter.
Right at that moment, Kevin strolled up behind Alec, �Sorry guy, but I met an old friend in the washroom. I guess we ended up talking for longer than I thought."
�Ya sure, you just didn�t wanna pay,� Alec said, mocking his friend. He looked over at Vicki and grinned, �By the way this is...� Alec stopped in the middle of the intro. He realized he still didn�t know Vicki�s name yet. Cold sweat began to drip from his forehead. He cant afford to screw things up with her when things seem to be going so well.
�...Vicki,� Vicki said, coming to the rescue. She found it pretty amusing that Alec didn�t know her name through all the times they talked. He was never bright enough to ask. Kevin and Vicki shook hands. Alec felt like a weight in his heart has been lifted, now that his angel has a name. He loved her name, her face, her body, everything about her.
�And that pig, with all the food in her arms over there, is my little sister,� Vicki said pointing towards Niki, who was carrying a huge bag of popcorn, two bags of fuzzy peaches, a chocolate bar, and a large pop. There goes her latest diet, and it�s not like she needs one.
Kevin�s eyes darted over towards Niki�s direction. He couldn�t help but smile a bit after seeing her cute, innocent face. Niki also saw Kevin, and abruptly dropped her popcorn in surprise.
�Sir Che...Kevin?� Niki said looking like she saw a ghost. She didn�t want him seeing her with all the food.
�You two know each other?� Alec and Vicki stood there surprised.
�Of course we know each other, she was the girl I told you about, who spilled coffee on me.� Niki immediately turned bright pink after Kevin reminded her of that awful incident.
"Oh ya!" Alec said trying to hold back laughter. Vicki just looked at Niki like she was a clumsy, little fool.
�Come on you guys, the movie is about to start,� Alec said as he opened the door to the cinema.
Vicki asked, staring hard at her sister,�Aren�t you coming?� She was too shy to go in by herself with Alec.
�Save me a seat, I�ll be along in a sec. I wanna buy some more popcorn,� Niki said scrunching her face at Kevin. Then she ran off again to the snack bar.
�You two go ahead, I�ll wait for Niki,� Kevin said as he winked at Alec. He knew his friend wanted to be alone with the girl of his dreams.

Vicki and Alec entered the cinema and saw that most of the seats were already occupied. Alec searched around for four seats together, but no such luck. There was only two seats near the back along the aisle and two seats in the front somewhere in the middle.
Alec informed, �There�s only two seats over there, lets go before someone else takes them.� He was pointing to the seats in the back.
Vicki nodded and shrugged, �Nothing we can do I guess.�
�This is the perfect opportunity,� Alec thought to himself, as a sly smile started to spread across his face. Lucky for him, the cinema was too dark for Vicki to notice.

Kevin sat down in a nearby bench to wait for Niki to get her popcorn. There was a smile popping out of his lips and he couldn�t get it to go away. He felt so relaxed around Niki, like he was a kid again.
�KEVIN!� A girls voice could be heard coming from behind him. Kevin turned his neck to see who it was. The smiled snapped away from his face like a rubber band once he saw a girl wearing a black tube top and mini skirt running towards him, waving.
�Oh. Hi Mandy,� Kevin said forcefully. He felt like running, but he stayed put since he�s such a gentlemen.
�Hey, what are you doing here?� Mandy said brushing Kevin seductively across the chest with her fingers. Kevin felt a wash of shiver pass through his spine. He searched his brain for an idea to get her to go away, quick. He couldn�t stand her, and he had no idea why he dated her in University for two years. But anyone could clearly see she still likes him. A lot.
�I�m here on a, uhh, date. Uh...my girlfriend is getting popcorn,� Kevin blurted. He had no other plans and he needed to get Mandy off his back as soon as possible. If he spent another second with her, she�ll probably take advantage of him. As if on cue, Niki popped up from behind Kevin and tapped him on the shoulders. Mandy�s face changed from flirty to deadly once she saw Niki.
�Oh and Mandy, this is my girlfriend, Niki. And Niki, this is an old friend, Mandy,� Kevin said, grabbing Niki�s petite hands securing it tightly in his own burly hands. Niki was obviously confused and looked at Kevin like he was some nutcase. Kevin gave her a �play along� look. Niki understood and smiled childishly.
She playfully slipped her arms behind his back, leaned her head on his shoulder, and whined, �Come on, honey. We don�t wanna be late for our movie.�
Kevin stood there smiling like a goof ball, and glanced at Mandy, who was looking like she was going to rip off Niki�s head. The green monster of jealousy was taking over Mandy�s body. Kevin could see the blood vessel slowly popping out of her neck. �Humph, I gotta go. I�m on a date too.� Mandy bellowed for everyone in the theatre to hear as she waddled towards the other direction.
�Whoa that was close, thanks for helping me,� Kevin let out a breath of relief as he looked at Niki gratefully, who was tearing up from laughing so hard.
�No problem, but you owe me dinner,� Niki said while pulling Kevin into the cinema. Both were still hand in hand.

�I guess you�re stuck with me,� Louis said as Jessica walked out of the girl�s Country Club change room.
�Huh? What are you talking about. Where�s Gigi and Julian?� Jessica asked.
�They took off, and Gigi asked me to drive you home,� Louis said as he shrugged.
�Are you kidding? Stupid Gigi, I�m so gonna kill her,� Jessica said angrily, �and you don�t have to drive me, I can take a cab. Wouldn�t want your girlfriend to get jealous.� Jessica flipped her hair and quickly walked away.
�Come on, what if you get another bleeding nose? Plus, I don�t have a girlfriend,� Louis said sternly, �and if you�re talking about the girl at the mall the other day, that�s my stepsister.� He was frantic and wanted to clear the misunderstanding. He was trying his best to persuade Jessica into changing her mind. Louis wanted to be there in case something happens to her, he felt like it was his duty as a man.
Jessica looked at her watch. It was getting pretty late and she wanted to be home in time for dinner so she nodded. �Fine, but you have to let me pay you back for gas,� Jessica said staring at Louis with demanding eyes.
�Tsk, tsk. Who do you think I am? I cab driver? Come on, lets go,� Louis said as he grabbed Jessica�s arm and pulled her towards his Lexus. He didn�t like people arguing with him. Jessica always hated men telling her what to do, so she didn�t know why she was letting Louis push her around like that. He opened the passenger door for Jessica and she timidly got in. She never thought she would give in to a man that easily.

�Don�t you dare...� Vicki whispered loudly. Alec was pulling the old �yawn and stretch� routine as an excuse to put his arms around Vicki. Instead, he got an elbow in the ribs instead. That routine is so lame.
�Ouch, sorry. I just wanted to stretch my arms because they�re so stiff,� Alec said, covering up his bruised ego.
Vicki stuck out her tongue, �Doesn�t work with me buddy. I know what you were trying to pull.�
�Hey, you promised to go on a date with me if I saved you again. Doesn�t buying you a ticket count as saving you from humiliation?� Alec was hoping to salvage a date from Vicki.
Vicki shook her head, �Psht, I hate scary movies. It�s more like you making me miserable. And you didn�t even know my name!�
�Awww come on. You never told me! And you promised to date me if I saved you. Gimme just one date and I�ll make you fall in love with me,� Alec pleaded as he gave Vicki his cutest puppy dog face.
�We�ll see after the movie,� Vicki grinned mysteriously while turning her attention to the screen. Alec crossed his arms across his chest like a kid throwing a fit and slouched down in his seat.

�Tell me when the scary part is over!� Niki said, shielding her eyes with her delicate hands during a scary scene.
Kevin waited a couple minutes then leaned over and whispered, �Ok...it�s over.� A mischievious smile was present on his handsome face.
Niki took her hands slowly away from her eyes. She peered at the movie screen and screamed at the top of her lungs. She practically started an earthquake with her outburst.
She started to throw a huge hissy fit, �Oh my god you butthole! I cant believe you would do that! I swear I was gonna die!� Niki was slapping and punching Kevin non stop. He was laughing so heartily, he felt like he could no longer breath.
�AHAHAHAHA...sorry. I couldn�t help it. I cant believe you would be scared over that stupid old lady,� Kevin said wiping tears away from his eyes.
�Shut up! I don�t care if you�re my superintendent. I can still kick your ass!� Niki was still punching Kevin until he was practically falling off the seat.
�SHHHH! Will you guys be quiet. Some people ate trying to watch a movie here,� an usually large man turned around and hissed. Practically the whole theatre was giving them dirty looks.
�Sorry...� Niki and Kevin said in unison and they both settled back in they�re seats. Niki gave Kevin a mini slap across the cheek and slouched down in her seat. Kevin never felt like washing his cheek again.

It was a perfect night. Louis pulled up in front of Jessica�s apartment complex as the song �This I Promise You,� was playing on his radio. It was Jessica�s favourite song and she wanted to stay in there forever. But she didn�t want him to think she enjoyed his company, so she quickly pushed on the release button of the seatbelt as soon Louis pulled on the e-brake.
�What�s wrong with this stupid seat belt? I think it�s stuck,� Jessica complained as she was tugging on the seat belt.
�Here let me help you,� Louis said as he leaned over towards Jessica. Louis immediately pulled away because his lips accidentally brushed against her soft cheeks. His lips were nice and smooth and Jessica could never forget that moment, even if it only lasted for a second.
�Sorry,� Louis said scratching his head and looking out the other window.
�That�s ok. See ya tomorrow,� Jessica squeaked as scurried out of the car. She didn�t want Louis to see her flushed cheeks. She touched the spot where he kissed her and the moment replayed in her mind. Louis sat in his car and stared at Jessica�s shadow. Her perfume lingered in the air and he wanted it to stay with him forever.
