"What is it doctor?"
"I dont know what to say..."
"What? Am i ok?"
"Miss Gui Gui, you have bone marrow leukemia."
Gui Gui went silent. She didnt know waht to say...
"Miss Gui?..."
"How long do i have?"
"About a month..3 at the most..."
"Okay. Thanks."
With that, Gui Gui left the doctor's office. She walked to the park. There, she cried.
"Why? Why now? I finally have everything that i've ever wanted. Why are you taking that away from me?"
Its true, after all the determination, Wang Zi finally admitted that he likes Gui Gui. They've only been together for almost a month only.
Gui Gui cried and cried. That was all she could do...When she got home, Wang Zi was waiting for her.(they live together)
"Gui, you're back!"
"Yeah" *smiles*
"What did the doctor say about your health?"
"The doctor said...that im fine.."
"Okay. Good."
The next couple of days, Gui Gui continued living her life as she did before. Nothing changed. well, thats what it looked like.
One day~
Gui Gui and Wang Zi were on a date. They went to the amusement park. While waiting to get some ice cream, some kids ran into Gui Gui causing her to fall.
"Sorry Miss."
"Its ok.."
"Gui! Are you alright?"
"Yeah, Im fine.."
After Wang Zi and Gui Gui got their ice creeam, they wnet and sat down at a table to eat it. Looking at her left arm, there was a bruise. She didnt even fall that hard.
"Gui, what are you looking at?"
"Oh, nothing..."
She hid her bruised arm away from Wang Zi.
Later~
After a long day of fun at the amusemnt park, Gui Gui and Wang Zi decided to take a break and go watch the stars. Thery were shining so brightly.
"Its gorgeous, isnt it?"
"Not as gorgeous as you." *looks at Gui*
Gui Gui snuggled closely next to Wang Zi. They were sitting side by side. She grabbed his arm and held it tightly.
"Wang Zi, ne ai wo ma?" (do you love me?)
"Of course i do..You know that.."
"Say it.."
"Huh?"
"Say it..I wanna hear you say it."
"Wo ai ne..."
Tears almost fell out of Gui's eyes. But she held them back with a smile.
"I love you too.."
With that, they both continued admiring the night sky.
As time went on, Gui Gui would keep asking Wang Zi to say he loved her. Of course he would. Because he really does love her.
2 months passed by already. Gui only had 1 more month left.... Still, she continue to act like everything was fine. She smiled everyday. She never told Wang Zi about anything...
One day, Gui Gui was sitting next the the window. And suddenly, blood started dripping from her nose. As soon as she felt the warm blood touch her skin, tears fell from her eyes. She knew that her days on Earth were slowly coming to an end...Finally she called Aaron. And they met up at a cafe. Aaron was Gui Gui's best friend.
"Aaron..Can you please help me with something?"
"What?"
"I...I want to break up with Wang Zi."
"But Gui, you love him. You were so determined to get him to like you. And you've finally done it. Why do you want to that that all away now?"
"Because im going to die soon!"
Gui Gui broke into tears...
"What?!"
"I have bone marrow leukemia. Aaron, im gonna die!"
Aaron was speechless. He never thought that his always smiling friend could come down with such a horrible disease.
"Did you tell him?"
"No..."
"Why not?"
"Because i dont want him to worry...I dont want him to be hurt."
"And breaking up with him isnt gonna hurt him?"
"No, because he'll hate me for breaking up with him. Then when i died, he'll be happy and not hurt.."
"Gui..I dont think he'll be.."
"Just please..."
"Fine.."
"Thanks.."
Everything was all planned out. It was the night before Gui Gui was gonna break up with Wang Zi. She couldnt sleep so she went out onto the balcony for fresh air and to look at the stars. Wang Zi was sleeping soundly...
Tears starting falling down Gui Gui's cheeks.
"Wang Zi..."
Wang Zi was still sleeping went he didnt feel Gui Gui sleeping next to him. So he woke up and went to go find her. The first place he looked was on the balcony. And sure enough, Gui Gui was there.
"Gui.."
Hearing Wang Zi's voice, Gui Gui whipped off all her tears.
"Yeah?"
"What's wrong?"
"I couldn't sleep..that's all.."
"Why didnt you wake me up?"
"I didnt want to bother you..."
Then Wang Zi went behind Gui and hugged her.
"Nothing's a bother at all with you.."
"..."
"...You've gotten so thin...Is the food I cook not good anymore?"
"No...Its still very good. Just like the first time a tasted it...And i'll miss it very much."
"Miss it? Where are you going?"
He stopped hugging her and turned her to face him.
"No where...Im just thinking about when i die. I wont be able to eat your food anymore."
"Sha gua~ Dont worry! I'll protect you from all the danger that you will meet."
Gui Gui just nodded.
Gui Gui's POV:
"Its too late now, Wang Zi..Its too late.."
End
Then Wang Zi hugged Gui Gui again. He wanted to show her that he was there for her. That he'll protect her from everything that she may face. He embraced her with his warm hug to show her that.
"Gui..I LOVE YOU..."
It was the first time Wang Zi ever said those 3 words to Gui gui on his own account. That made Gui gui so happy but at the same time, it made things even more painful for her. She tried to hold her tears in. But they were getting too heavy anf feel from her eyes onto Wang Zi's shirt. Wang Zi felt the big warm glump of satly water on his shoulder.
"Gui, why are you crying? Did i do something wrong?"
"No...Not at all.."
"Then why are you crying?"
"Because this is the first time you've ever told me you love me..on your own..Im so happy.."
"Sha gua..I'll tell you I love you everyday from now on then ok?"
"mmm.."
After that, they both went to sleep. Wang Zi was already sound asleep while Gui Gui was still up. She turned to face Wang Zi. Caressing his sleeping face...
"Wang Zi..Im gonna miss you so much...But i'll remember everything about you. I wont forget a single detail.."
The next morning~
When Wang Zi got up, Gui Gui was already gone. He washed up and went into the kitchen. On the kitchen table, there was a note and some food. Wang Zi took the note and read it.
'Wang Zi,
I've gone out to get more groceries. I'llbe back in awhile.
Meanwhile, enjoy breakfast while its still hot! :)
-Gui Gui'
After reading the note, Wang Zi ate the food and washed the dishes after he was done.Gui Gui still wasnt home yet.
Gui Gui was with Aaron. They were outside of Wang Zi and Gui's house going over the plan.
"You sure you really want to do this?"
"I dont want to..But i have to.."
"You dont have to...And you know that.."
"Its the best way.."
With that, Gui Gui took a deep breath an opened the door.
"Come in Aaron..."
"Gui! You're home!"
Wang Zi ran to hug Gui. She nearly cried when this happened. Being strong, she pushed wang Zi away.. Confused, Wang Zi backed away..
"What's wrong? OH! you want me to get the groceries first right?"
Gui gui stayed quiet. And Aaron walks in.
"Oh, hey! Whats up Aaron?
"Wang Zi.."
"Wang Zi, we need to talk.."
"Ok..what is it?"
"....I..I want to break up."
"What? Why?"
"...I cant go on like this. Aaron and I are d..dating..And..we're..planning on getting married."
"But...Why did you?"
Wang Zi didnt know what to say...
"..Wang Zi...I love Gui!"
"....And...i love...AARON!"
Aaron and Gui Gui were about to leave when Wang Zi took Gui Gui's hand and pulled her in for a hug. He hugged her tightly.
"Gui..Please dont leave me! You mean so much to me now...I've fallen for you!...I LOVE YOU! Please dont leave me.."
Tears were forming in Gui Gui's eyes. So much that it made it hard for her to see. Her vision blurred.
"...Im sorry Wang Zi...I...dont love you anymore..."
She pulled away from Wang Zi's warm embrace and started walking towards Aaron. Then she stopped...Without looking back she said.
"Im sorry Wang Zi...I truely am.."
After saying that, Gui gui went to Aaron.
"C'mon Aaron..."
Both Aaron and Gui walked out. Wang Zi just stood there with tears falling from his eyes..
In the car~
Gui Gui broke down. She has never seen Wang Zi cry before. And to make it worse. She caused him to be like that. She could never forgive herself for this.
"Gui.."
"I..I've never seen him so huirt before..Wang Zi, dui bu qi...zhen de dui bu qi.."
And that was it. That was the last time Wang Zi and Gui Gui ever talked. ever seen eachother.
It was a week later. Gui Gui was now staying at the hospital. Aaron would always come and visit her whenever he can.
Wang Zi tried to continue his life to the best of his ability. Even though , when Gui left, she took all of his strength with her...
One Day~
Aaron walked into Gui Gui's room and saw her starring out the window. Tears fell continueously from her pale cheeks. She still couldnt forgive herself for what she did.
"Gui..."
Whipping off her tears she turned to look at Aaron.
"Hmmm?"
"You miss him..Dont you?"
"...alot.."
"Im sure he misses you too.."
"....How is he?"
The last time Aaron came to visit Gui. She had asked him to check on how Wang Zi was..
"He's fine.."
"Good.."
Tears started falling from her eyes again. She missed Wang Zi dearly.
After Aaron's visit to Gui, he felt horrible. His once happy all the time friend was now crying everyday. Aaron decide to tell Wang Zi. It was the least that he could do. Aaron knew that Wang Zi was the only person that will help Gui Gui smile again. Wang Zi was the only person that will make Gui gui's last days on Earth the best.
*Ring Ring*
"Wei?"
"Wang Zi, we need to talk.."
"About what?"
"Meet me at the cafe near your house..its about Gui Gui.."
"Fine..now?"
"Yeah.."
So after the call, Wang Zi went to meet Aaron. Inside the cafe...
"Talk.."
"I know you love Gui.."
"And?"
"She loves you too..But because she wants the best for you...She left you.."
"Best for me?! How huh?"
Wang Zi was now practically shouting...
"She doesnt what you to worry..or be sad.."
"About what?"
"Gui has bone marrow leukemia..."
"WHAT?!"
"That's why she left you.."
Wang Zi was speechless. Hearing that Gui Gui had leukemia, he alomst had a heart attack.
"Because she loves you she didnt want you to be hurt. She didnt want to tell you because she knows that when she leaves, you'll suffer alot...And because of what happen that day, Gui cries everyday..."
"Where is she now?"
"At the hosptial..I'll take you there if you wnat.."
"Lets go.."
So Aaron took Wang Zi to the hospital. When they got in Gui Gui's room..Aaron went inside first. Wang Zi waited outside. Again, Gui Gui was looking out the window with tears falling.
"Gui.."
"Aaron...You're here.."
Gui Gui continued to loook oout the window. Tears continue to flow. Wang Zi walked in. But Gui didnt notice.
"Mmm..How are you?"
"Okay..."
"You're thinking about Wang Zi again, arent you?"
"..I miss him so much..."
Seeing Gui Gui like this made Wang Zi's heart break. Her once rosy cheeks were now pale white. Her lips werent slossy pink anymore either...They were as white almost as white as her face...
"Im never gonna know if you never tell me.."
"Wang Zi.."
Wang Zi walked up to Gui Gui and hugged her. As tight as ever.
Wang Zi's POV:
'Shes gotten so thin...She looks so weak..Gui, your not yourself anymore.."
End
As soon as Gui Gui saw Wang Zi, tears were fallinf from her eyes even faster. And wehn Wang Zi hugged her, his warm embrace made her feel so sorry.. Sorry that she ever met him...
"Dui bu qi..Zhen de dui bu qi.."
"Dont cry anymore.."
Wang Zi whipped off Gui Gui's tears with his thumbs..
"You've been crying so much..Your eyes are all puffy.."
"Dui bu qi..I really didnt mean to..."
"I forgive you..Just dont don anything stupid like this again ok?"
"Mmm...I missed you sooo much..."
Gui Gui hugged Wang Zi.
"Gui..I talked to the doctor..It turns out that we same the same kind of bone marrow...So i decided to give you some off mines.."
Suddenly, blood started dripping from Gui Gui's nose...Now, she felt weaker than ever.. Pulling away from the hug, she whipped away the blood.
"Gui..You're bleeding..."
"Wang Zi..."
"Huh?"
Gui Gui planted a small kiss on Wang Zi's cheek, next to his lip. She left a little blood mark on his cheek. Then she hussed him as tightly as ever.
"You dont have give me some of your bone marrow...Knowing that you love me enough to be willing to do so is enough..."
A smile appeared on Gui Gui's face. And slowly, she closed her eyes. And her last tear fell. By this time Wang Zi already had tears falling from his eyes. As he hugged her tightly he whispered..
"Sha gua..why'd you leave before i can answer you?...I love you..more than anything.."
He continued to embrace her with his hug. He wanted to make sure that he would remeber how hugging her was like..
Gui Gui dies with a smile on her face..

Wang Zi woke up in the middle of the night with tears flowing. Looking to the balcony and into the night sky, he saw a shining star. That star was shining brighter than any star in the sky that night. It blinked at Wang Zi 3 times.. wang Zi knew that, that star was Gui. And she just told him she loved him.
" Oh, how i wish this was all just a dream..I miss you, Gui.."
The next morning, Wang Zi went to visit Gui Gui at her grave. He brought her her favorite flower. Pink and White lilies.
"Gui..ne hai hao ma?..I miss you so much..."
He pause for a minute...Whipping his tears, he continued with the words that he never said enough to her...
"I LOVE YOU...forever and always.."
