"What happened to him?" She stroked his back gently.He tightened his hands which circled around her waist without any answer.His face buried into her hair,breathing in the sweet scent of the shampoo she used.
"I'm here with you.Don't worry" Cheris uttered softly,her hands still patting lightly on his back.She remained silent while hugging him,struggling to relax the atmosphere.Even herself,was worried about ah ye condition.
"Isn't it romantic to enjoy the stars tonight" She heard him mumbled finally.His head still resting on her shoulder without glancing up. "I will go with you tonight if you want" She nodded and whispered.
"I like the sandwiches you made" Ah jing mumbled again.She could feel his warm breath blowing on her neck.Her lips curl up alittle,forming a contented smile. "I will prepare it for you whenever you want" she nodded again.
"Ok.Let's go" Ah jing let go of her and announced.A huge smile returned,replacing his previous helpless expression.He held Cheris hand,heading towards the lift...
"Wait.Jing.Ah ye was still lying inside" Cheris blinked confusingly.His obvious change of emotions left her dumbfounded. "He's not dying.Don't worry.Should be fine now" he answered with a wide grin.
"But we can't just leave Mel here,she thought he's in danger" Cheris added after taking afew minutes absorbing his words.She almost came to believe ah ye was in danger too...
"That's why we should leave her here" Jing eye beaming with playfulness.His long finger circling around and around with a strand of her hair. "We better go before he wake up" he quickened his pace,bringing her closer.
"You sure he's fine?why did he end up in hospital" Cheris asked.Curiousity struck her just when they approached the lift. "Severe food poisoning" Jing replied,pushing her gently into the lift.
"What!" Cheris jerked,turning behind to face him. "He ate some spoilt canned tuna" Jing grinned,blinking his eye innocently. "I tried to prepare the sandwiches yesterday,ah ye was my taster"
God,Jing stop grinning please,Cheris repeated inside her heart...
