The night was peaceful,alittle too quiet.They strolled down the pathway,keeping a distance of 1m in between.The cool breeze blew under their skin,a beautiful night to enjoy,if they are not in such a awkward situation.She gazed into the sky,full of thoughts,while he stared onto the ground,expressionless...

She didn’t know how long or far they walked,until he pulled to a stop.Glancing sideway at him,she raised a curious eyebrown.Turning towards her,he nodded his head slightly.Stepping nearer,he wanted to close the gap between,but she,took a step backwards...

Breathing in deeply,he told himself to calm down.Counting from 10 to 1,he managed to control his temper.Moving closer alittle this time,he just wanted a chat.Once again,she moved behind,building a invisible protective wall around her.Pointing to the lamp post across the road,he uttered coldly "Do you want to stand over there?So that I won’t be able to eat you up!"

"Hi..." Mel greet after a few minutes of pausing.Her finger tapping against her jeans,feeling uncomfortable trapping inside this situation.Her eye shifted every now and then,trying hard to avoid the attentive stare he had on hers.Not wanting to show her uneasiness,she added "erm...how are you?"

"Fine" he replied,clenching his fist lightly...

"How’s your mum?" Mel searched through her mind,finding a common topic...

"Fine..." he repeated,waiting impatiently for her next questions...

"Erm...How about your dad?" Mel nodded,her brain’s not working somehow...

"He’s fine as well...Now do you want to ask how’s their dog Bobby is? He’s growing fatter and fatter! Ken? His pub haven’t closed yet! Jing? He’s happily attached to your friend cheris! The cat staying beside the rubbish bin? It’s..." Ye asked and answered his own question,feeling his hot temper raised...

"Ye,Enough..." Mel whispered,a smile appearing on her face.Somehow,his hot temper relax the atmosphere...

"Why are you being so polite,Even if we can’t be lover,I see no reason why we can’t be friends as well!" Ye uttered loudly,his eye burning with flame,and passion.Somehow,saying this sentence make his heart sank deeply.He don’t want to be just friends,not just a normal friend...

"We are still friends..." Mel smiled,despite the anger he showed clearly on his face.This is the real him,she knew.The one who cared a lot for her,even though he may seems fierce at times.She don’t care how cool he may appeared to others,and how bad her aunt commented on him…It’s doesn’t matter now...

"I don’t want to be just friends!" Ye said loudly,his eye fixed directly on her,observing her reaction.Mel just continued staring at him,without any response.With his eye gazing,he yelled "Friends means I can’t hug you when I wanted to,I can’t kiss you anymore.Friends means my position in your heart will be same as Kelvin!"

"No,you will be higher than him alittle..." Mel stepped closer this time.Sensing her different attitude,Ye's lip curved upwards.Bringing her right into his arms,they stood there,right in front of the pool centre,they kissed...
