Chapter 13
Your Worst Nightmare
“Do...you...care about Wang Zi?” she asked. I thought for a split second... “DO I care about Wang Zi?...DID I? I've LIKED him...but caring...” I looked down at my left arm...“I really cut it deep all for Wang Zi too.” “A lot,” my mouth spoke for my heart. “Then you should know about Wang Zi’s hand,” Tian Yi remarked. “Wang Zi’s hand?” I uttered, “What ABOUT it?” “His right hand got infected by the chemicals that were in the beakers,” she started, “so he can't use his right hand for anything, until it heals...or else...he’ll increase the chances of becoming crippled. Please look out for him, I don’t think he’ll actually follow my directions.” I smiled, “Oh, I will then. Xie xie.”
I ran back to class. When I opened the door, and walked in, Da Ya them nearly fell out of their seat from being so nervous. I laughed, and walked over to my seat, next to Wang Zi...who sat next to Aaron, and I sat down. Aaron whispered over to me, “Gui Gui, are you okay?” I nodded as I glanced at Wang Zi’s right hand that layed out in front of me, on the table...wrapped and bandaged...
*Flashback*
“His right hand got infected by the chemicals that were in the beakers,” Tian Yi started, “so he can't use his right hand for anything, until it heals...or else...he’ll increase the chances of becoming crippled. Please look out for him, I don’t think he’ll actually follow my directions.”
*End of Flashback*
After class, Ting and everyone else left. The only people left in the room, were Da Ya, Tong Tong, Mei Mei, Ya Tou, Apple, Xiao Man, Xiao Jie, Xiao Xun, Liu Liu Rong Jia, and couple of her friends who sat on her side of the room.
I sat in my seat, writing notes with my bandaged left hand out in front of me. I stopped writing when Liu Rong Jia stood at the front of my table. I shoved my things into my bag as I asked, “What do you want?” She gave me a bitchy smile and said, “I just wanted to talk to you about SOMETHING or someONE.” Everyone in the class was watching us. Liu Rong Jia’s friends laughed as they got up and stood behind her. Da Ya them got up, and stood next to me. “Really?” I asked, “then talk already, because if this is how our conversation’s going to be...i’d rather NOT talk.” Liu Rong Jia cussed under her breath. “Or,” I began, “are you going to FAKE another accident?” Liu Rong Jia and her friends snickered, and I saw Mei Mei their fists tighten. “If you don’t stay away from Wang Zi,” Liu Rong Jia began, “it’s only going to get worse. I guarantee you that.” Her friends laughed again, and Tong Tong was about to take a step forward towards them, but I held her back. “If that’s the case,” I began, “then I want my refund back. You can't guarantee anything... especially at this rate.” Liu Rong Jia grinned as she pulled out her cell phone, and played a video. She set her cell phone out in front of me, as she said, “I’ll guarantee you, THIS video will be exposed.” Liu Rong Jia’s friends and Da Ya them watched the video...I had no interest of watching it but I heard my voice: “Why does it take you so long just to drink water?”
I knew what it was, I knew what video she was playing, but I didn’t care. I made no attempt to stop it, so I let it played. When it finished, Liu Rong Jia closed her cell phone, and picked it up, off my table. She and her friends laughed, AGAIN. Da Ya them still stood in either shock or awe. “If this video EVER leaks out to anyone else,” I began, “this world...will be a couple of people short.” “You wouldn’t dare,” Liu Rong Jia remarked. I smiled, “Who are you, to tell me what I dare and whether I dare or not?” She gave off another bitchy smile, “Your WORST nightmare.” She held her phone out, in front of my face. And her friends laughed with her. “I think you’ve got it the wrong way around,” I said as I got up and hit her hand away from my face. Her phone fell out from her hand, and cracked on the ground.
I grabbed my bag and walked towards the door with Tong Tong them following behind me. “You know...” I began, “SO many things cracked today.” Then Mei Mei us walked out of the class, and headed home._____________
