The first day of school this year started off normally, nothing special has happened and hopefully, nothing will.
I got to school and met Aaron at my locker. I guess the dare starts now. He gave me his hand and I held it. I blushed slightly.
We walked to class together with all eyes on us. Aaron didn't seem to mind, me on the other hand strongly disliked it.
All this attention was scaring me. I felt all the girls glares on me and all the guys passed me and glared at Aaron.
He did seem to care and acted like nothing was wrong, but something was wrong. We got to class and sat next to each other.
I wanted to let go of his hand, and never touch them again but for the next 24 hours, that was not going to happen.
I gave a big sigh and got out my note book, a text book, a pen and some white out.
Though I hardly ever made any mistakes its good to have some just in case. I looked at Aaron.
He just sat there, not even bothering to get ready for class. Why am I not surprised? The teacher walked in and everyone fell silent.
She started talking and I started writing, it was much harder holding a hand and writing at the same time.
Aaron sat there and stared at me, so was everyone else. It got annoying, something I will never get used to.
I tried hard to ignore it but it was useless. The teacher seemed to notice Aaron staring at me and decided to ask him a question.
"Aaron Yan, what is 1+1?" She asked. Aaron took his stare off me at the mention at his name. "What did you say?" He replied.
That wasn't very polite but once again, I'm not surprised. I saw the teacher shake her head as Aaron tried to read my notes to see what he missed.
I covered it with my other hand and he refocused his eyes on the teacher. She opened her mouth to talk. "Aaron, what is 1+1?"
She repeated. He replied "Uhh.. Er.." and he closed his eyes tight, and said, "I don't know." That made the whole class laugh.
Including me. He looked at me and saw my big smile on. He smiled as well. I noticed and stopped smiling.
Aaron's POV
I saw Hebe's smile and heard her laugh. Just that made my smile, and I don't know why. Just seeing her happy makes me happy.
She seem to have noticed and stop smiling. Well, at least she tried. After another five seconds she started laughing again.
I kept my smile on the class kept laughing. After another half an hour the bell rung and everyone left. Amazing, we spent the whole time laughing.
Including the teacher. I liked holding her hand. It was like feeling the spark all over again. I guess the funny thing was this wasn't even math class.
I had math next, and so did Hebe. We walked to our lockers and got our stuff. Then went to class.
Walking through the halls with all eyes on me was normal. I got used to it, Hebe, on the other hand seem to have hated it.
I didn't care. It felt like we were dating. Even if I had way more then five girl friends this year, none of them made me this happy.
She was mine, at least for the next 24 hours, and no one could take that away from me. I guess I need to thank Jiro for the dare.
Hebe's PoV
Lunch came and I slowly got used to holding his hand. To tell you the truth, I liked it.
It made me feel brave, like he was there for me, and no matter what happens he always will be. I wish it was true, sadly it's just a dare.
A dare that changed my day, and maybe my life forever. Just being with him, it made me so happy that I felt like it was one of the best days of my life.
We sat down to eat our lunch. We sat at the table in the corner for more privacy. Jiro, Chun, Calvin, Selina, and Ella soon joined us.
We all greeted each others then ate our lunch. "So hows your day Hebe?" Selina said. I gave her a reply, "Horrible."
It was a small lie.
Okay, a big lie. It was a great day and I wanted to be like this forever. Sadly it's only for 24 hours. "How are they going to sleep like that?" Ella asked.
I never thought about that. How will I sleep like this?.. I gave them all a look. They looked clueless. "My house." I replied in a calm tone.
Even if my heart was racing and my breathing quickened. "Right.." Aaron said. I saw them staring at us and I looked away.
The rest of lunch was silent. Cross that. The rest of the DAY was pretty awkard. After school I was getting homework out of my locker when.
"How about we hang out today? You know, make the best of it?" He asked. I replied, "You mean like a date?"
"No, well not if you don't want it to be." I thought about it and said, "I can't I have work." I saw him frown a bit then his lips slowly curved into a smile.
"Where first?" He finally said. I gave out a small sigh and told him ice cream shop at the mall. He gave me ride there.
I didn't feel safe with him only driving with one hand, but to my surprise he was a good driver. When we got there I put on my ice cream cone HAT and my name tag.
I saw him laugh at my hat and I tried to ignore it. He stopped after a while and I got to work. He followed me through all my jobs that day.
Aaron's POV
I followed her through all her jobs. I didn't know how she did it! I got tired just watching her. Soon the day was finally over.
I was so tired. It was pretty late as I drove her home. So this is what it's like to be Hebe everyday.
She works so hard, and always has a smile on her face. When we reached her house she went and made some food.
We both took a shower in the morning. Thank gosh. We both got changed into pj's back to back. Don't worry, I didnt peek.
I had gone home to get my pjs before going to her house. She went into the kitchen to make dinner. I followed. She made isntant noodles.
We ate in silence. She handed me a tooth brush after and we got ready for bed. Then we got started on our homework.
We finished about two hours later. I wasn't really focused. I slowly looked around her room. It was very small.
Smaller then my closet. I looked at her tiny bed. Just big enough for her and her stuffed animal.
She took out a blanket and a pillow and put them on the floor next to her bed. She went made her little pillow and banket bed and laid down.
"You can have the bed." I said. "No." She replied. I carried her up and dropped her on the bed as I settled in to me "bed."
She didnt reply as she slowly drifted off to sleep. I stared at her sleep. One hand still holding mine and the other hugging her stuffed teddy.
I slowly drifted to sleep with images of her in my head.
Hebe's POV
He carried me off the floor and dropped me on my bed. I didn't say anything. I'm sure he didn't notice me blush.
I quickly fell to sleep. There were only a few more hours until school. A few more hours until the dare is over.
Then, we probly wont ever hold hands this long again. Wait, lets stop at hold hands. As far as I know, my hands wont be touching his.
I dreamed about my day. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I accually had fun today.
Just being with him made it fun. I wish that it could be everyday, but it's only today.
